Don't you just want to bang your head against a wall or desk? Especially when the pet is in an account where the user must pop in a few times a year to keep it active, but you can't even check that because the last scene is hidden...but you can see that haven't posted since a certain date, and you're like..."Why...just why...let them make your account inactive so I can get that name!"

sometimes you just have to get creative lmao for instance my oc's claude and morella are on the names blanchot and traceur respectively haha

tbt that 1 time the user logged in on the actual date that the account was set to clear hahahahhahaa

I have it the other way round... when you want a pet name, but that user it belongs to is active, has been active for years, and will likely not retire anytime soon. And they don't even use the name the way you wanted it to use .___.

There's a name that I've wanted for years, but the owner keeps logging in & is still marked active. I ended up having to go with another name because I gave up, & it looks like I was right to. STILL not clear, with no sign of any account activity. No posts, no new comments, nothing.

There's been another name I had kept an eye on, as it would've been a match to a pet I already have, but no dice. It's frustrating, as it would've been perfect to have the set!

Lol I feel it, but I think I'm one of those frustrating people who come back and ruin everyone's day. (If anyone even wants any of my names. Idk. lmao)

There's a name I'm trying to stalk right now though and I literally can't believe it's on an inactive account. I'll probably cry if I don't get it. xD

The most frustrating thing for me though, is when someone active has a pet name that I would use as a fan pet and it's not a fan pet. Like omg, that character is a saint and their name isn't even being used for them.

I feel it. There's a name I've wanted for a long time, the user's last seen is hidden and they don't seem to be like super duper active but they're active enough that I've never seen a clearing notice on the account. I still have hopes of making that pet, but I haven't been able to come up with an alternate name that I like enough to create.

But on a happier note, I checked on a name awhile back on a whim and the account had a last seen date, and appeared inactive, just not inactive enough. But I checked it today and there's a clearing date! Now to cross my fingers and hope they don't decide to come back before then haha

lol I'm pretty sure my average wait time for most names I want is about five years. I can be patient and I'm not too bothered by people coming back, even if it's just to save their account because I'd probably have issues letting mine go too after this long. I'm just happy the site doesn't have resets/rollbacks anymore. It was terrible to wait for a name only to have the site glitch and reset the accounts. D:

It's fine to stalk names, but it's not really cool to judge people for what they do with their pets though. x: Everyone has their own pace or different things that are important to them. If they're active, they're obviously still enjoying something about the site and any pets they're keeping.

Oh I feel you, I've been stalking a name for a bit over a year now and the owner doesn't appear to be doing anything with said pet, then again I don't know them personally so I haven't a clue. I assume they must just login and then shut down their computer tight for another few months. I've checked their recent posts and things even lol The only way I know that they're even doing anything is that they've changed their avatar... once. It can be so frustrating!

On the other hand, I'm sure I have pets that people would want the names of, but I'm not going anywhere so I'm sure I'm "ruining" someone's day sorry! XD

i was definitely one of those annoying people who logged in once a year to keep my account from clearing while i was on haitus but i don't think i had any particularly great names during that time, so i probably didn't disappoint anyone lol

Aww, that's gotta be a little frustrating. I felt hypocritical after saying that was my pet peeve though because I own the name Hanzo, which I sniped just a few months before Overwatch came out, but I don't have any plans on making him an Overwatch fanpet and I wonder how many people that bothers. Honestly, when I took the name I didn't even know what Overwatch was; I just liked the name. xD

hah, that's funny - my problem child is widowmaker, which is an overwatch-related codename, and i probably looked up your hanzo before i picked up my own! it's a little frustrating since if she was a proper widowmaker pet she'd look completely different, but i figure most people are just adding names and not looking at the pets themselves, so it is what it is. p:

I have no problem stalking not-so-active users for years. I recently snagged two names that I started to stalk 7+ years ago. I think patience and persistence go a long way on subeta. In fact, the longer I wait, the better chance of me getting that name because you know that only the users who want that name 500% will not give up stalking after all these years (well, maybe unless it's a super popular name or word).

As for the relatively active users, I know it can be really frustrating. But I tend to think of all the imperfections among my pets and how they can be eyesores to people, then, you might be a bit more forgiven about other people's relatively blank pets, or the ones that you think your idea would fit the name better...:)

I am loving all these 'rants'. The pet name I want is actually the name of my real life pet...but at this rate I'm going to probably have to use her nick name...which is available and probably always will be...

There are 3 pet names I want so much, and all 3 are on active accounts. 2 are very very much active and 1 is... questionably active. 2 of these names make me want to sell my soul to the owners to have them... so I will have to split my soul xD

This is me. They were last on 4 weeks ago. :/ I wanted the name because I had an idea, and now that idea is sort of screwed and... the name just doesn't make sense for the user/what they like/the pet in general, really... So yeah. Thats awesome :/
