I think the only name i've ever stalked was hyetal (idc, it's not coming up any time soon and I found a better name).

But I have been sent sMail about Uproar, which bothers me and I wish people wouldn't. I get it's a short name, real word, etc, but come on. All mail like that makes me think is I need to come on so no one takes it, so sMail like that may have the reverse of the desired effect, which is pretty funny

Like I do understand the frustration, but I can imagine a lot of people are in the same boat as me, keeping their pet names out of spite love.

I am so spiteful that I even own Spite. =P

I personally don't mind getting mails of that kind...as long as the person is polite and takes my "no" like a grown-up.

Some may even say you do it to make people suffer. (Kidding, I totally went through to find a name you had to fit in the joke LOL)

I am in the same boat. Though I don't get many comments/mails about my pets, they don't bother me at all. I have heard of people getting rude comments/mails which is pretty shitty, however. How someone would expect to get a pet that way is beyond me. The entitlement is strong with those ones.

I've missed so many names and it's normally cause the clearing is at 2am or 3am for me and i'm sleeping. Then I see who adopted the name I was after and like 100% of the time they're like 208402984x better than me and come up with amazing ideas 8D. I get very nice and polite sMail's quite often for pet names and most of the time I tell them politely I probably won't adopt out, but i'll always keep their name in my notepad widget for when I do/if I adopt X pet out.

On the topic of name clearing....anyone know when the next one is? Not that the pet name has any note on it...but I'm just curious now. I'm also far too shy to send an sMail asking another user for the name/pet. I'd feel like I would be taking something away from them..lol

I actually have no problem with people smailing me, as long as the smails are poilte and freindly asking to keep them in mind, when I ever decide to give a pet away. It is even suprising that I even don't get much smails and I have some quite popular names ^^. I also did ask some rare people to keep me in mind, when they decide to give away a pet with a name I like but allways try to be polite and nice.

What I do not like is when people get rude and telling me why I adopted the name XY cause the have so much better ideas and that it is mean that I have that pet and that my ideas never can match theirs Had this once).

I had a name clear yesterday, which a friend was able to snag for me =)

Or then there's just the opposite. I was due for my loyalty totem pet slot in a couple of hours, and while idly browsing through names I'd like to have, discovered one on an inactive account that had cleared. It was perfect for a tribute pet i had in mind, but by the time I got the slot and went to make the pet, the name had been snapped up. I have lucked out on a few sweet names tho, so I really couldn't complain..., much. The good thing was that, the perfect nickname for my tribute pup came up for adoption just a few days later, so I did OK after all.

I just had to get creative. :/ I thought for sure no one would want Regolith, but lo' and behold - it was taken. I had to add an, "e" on the end, but it still works. :D It's not the most amazing or exciting thing. I was stoked to see my username wasn't taken though!

I stalked the name Lauri for nearly 2 years. I did mail the old user and asked if they ever considered putting him for adoption to keep me in mind. They never replied to me, even though i was polite and they just put a notice on their look up saying that they would never give up any of their pets.

So i just bided my time and their account cleared and i got him (Finally!)

So now i am stalking another name - but the account has been frozen but i still have to wait like 6 months or more for it. I'm just hoping i get it.
