Of course there are names I envy others for. And I would lie if I would consider all characters they have for these names as "fitting". But since these are their Pets, I'm not in the position to judge them. Especially considering that I'm probably using some oy my names "wrong" in other users' opinions.

So I guess we're even. :P

More on-topic: I don't mind waiting for years for a name I really want. But I get the frustration when the inactive User logs in 1 day before clearing date. Happened to me A LOT in the past. :D

or using latin as my Leatizia - even though I would think peopel will not be to happy with my overall concept for her but then that is a mile away, I have other pets complete before her

Omg... I know this all too well! I'm stalking a few names and one popped on after the 10 month mark, and the other one logged in after 4 months :/

It is so annoying...I just checked the account again (because you never know...lol), the account will be 12 years old in 3 days...and like I said in my OP, they haven't posted anything in ages...none of the pets have TCs...they all have minions...but that's it. I'm just like..."what are you doing?"

I can't help but grow frustrated sometimes when I see posts like "HOW DARE THEY HAVE THAT NAME AND NOT DO ANYTHING WITH IT?!?1?!?!!?" or people complain because someone is not doing what they deem "worthy" of said name.

Honestly, it is their pet and there is nothing that can be done. The pet could have a sentimental meaning to them and just having it makes them feel good. They could also have an OC off site for it. You know what they say about assuming, right?

For everyone, there will always be pets that other people may have that you want. Hell, I am in that number as well. But amazing names clear all the time so there will always be something to go for so why get upset or bitter over it?

I do want to add if the person is legit logging on once a year to prevent clearing but is not truly active that is pretty shitty. Kinda hard to judge that, though... Considering many people lurk and restock. I know I wasn't active through 2015 but I still logged on to lurk off and on and message friends via mails. I was still active even though I barely posted.

I've had that happen too, but I understand and like to give people the benefit of the doubt--life happens, and sometimes you remember just at the last minute you have something you need to save.

I feel bad because I have a lot of names and a lot of ideas but no motivation lately. I tend to like to work on one pet at a time, and that can take several months. So if any of my pets look like they're rotting, they may be for now--but it's not intentional!

Oh I get that, but when a user doesn't have a shop, gallery, wishlist (Or if they do you can't see them on their profile) and they haven't posted anything for almost 6 years...you do start to wonder what is going on...

Totally agree 100% with everything said.

I have no doubt I probably annoyed people with my inactivity for a few years (logging in the check up on things, but having for a while lost interest making no comments, posts or new activity) while having a very common name that multiple people have asked me for years now (Alice). That was before I actually had a profile, story, etc for her and just a blank profile haha so I'm was one of those people, but eh it is what it is.

Can't get too mad at you...you do amazing free profiles...I will probably bug you for another when you open again and I have art of the pet that needs said profile

I get often sMails of people asking if they can adop Bucky because I'm inactive and I do nothing with him while he does have a profile, a TC that keeps growing and a custom overlay. It just makes me laugh.

It's one thing imo to get asked about a pet with an empty profile. I still will say no but I can understand. To be told however that your story for a certain pet isn't cool enough and that you should give the pet to the user mailing you because their plans are cooler and omg they do their own art etc...well let's say that overeggs the famous little pudding.

Story of my life. Sadly there are a lot "Only once a year log in" users and they do that over years. Banner popps up, cause the did not do a thing for 11 month and aabout 1-2 days bevore the clearinf they log in.. which is pretty frustrating.

That there is allways be people owning pets I want or others want... and yes you are one of that persons XDD.. but also I have pets certainly others would kill for ^^ but I allways try to do my pets justice and work on them.. but somtimes there are times I do less cause I have to work, personal problems.. and and and..

I have He-man, Pinky, Buddy, and Kanga. I know people want the names. I've been asked many times. All of the pets are representations of my real life pets and they aren't going anywhere. I don't care what people think as far as them not having detailed and fancy profiles. They're significant to me whether or not other people think so.

I've since taken to just using any name I like for OCs when their names are taken. So it does mean that I am using some fan names for my OCs instead.

Now if anyone actually wants any of my pet names I'd be surprised. The fan names are pretty much older fandoms that I don't think are, or ever were, that big anymore. Though I'm sure a few probably would be wanted for their ids... lol

I don't agree with people sMailing others asking if they can have a certain pet because they have 'better' plans for it. The majority if my pets' profiles are blank, because I haven't written a story for them yet (idea is in my head) nor have I found someone to do the profile...granted I don't think the pet names I have are ones people want...
