so if you're in the USA and registered, please, PLEASE vote, and do not vote third-party because you think it won't matter, that's how Brexit happened and I really do not want The Donald anywhere near the nuclear launch codes. Save your protest-votes for when it won't get people killed (whether by hate-crimes, in a nuclear war caused by Trump's oversized-yet-fragile ego, or by removal of social-security and Medicare). I agree Hilary is not the best and I'd much prefer Bernie, but it's her or Drumpf and I'm scared that enough people will vote third-party out of pique that we'll get a narcissistic sociopath in the White House.
I'm English and very scared for America right now. I really REALLY hope that the voting population of the US has taken Brexit to heart and has realised how important voting is because holy heck things are messy right now. (A chunk of our English government doesn't want to listen to our own law-abiding judges, saying they don't know the law. ?!?!?!?) Don't let this happen do your country! Vote!
Some advice I have seen going around: you can't vote online, or by text. If you're in line and it's past officially polling hours, you can still vote, please don't let people force you away! (It's scary and upsetting that people are trying tactics to dissuade voters and rig things.) And yes, please don't vote third party, it won't help anyone aside from that unqualified cheeto dust scum.
As an American, all I have to say is the following: GET ME OUTTA HERE. THEY'RE TRYING TO ELECT A CRAZY OOMPA LOOMPA.

I am honestly getting a little terrified. I mean, this wasn't really real until right now, until the fact that it's tomorrow. I am SO afraid of what will happen if that disgusting excuse for a man gets in. I have a knot in my stomach and I'm having trouble concentrating on much here at work, because my thoughts keep going back to 'what if'. I don't want to be American anymore if he gets in. I don't want this country to be hated by all the others. And...honestly...I'm just coming to terms with the fact that I'm probably not straight, and that horrible piece of work's hatred towards LGBTQ people makes me want to hide all the more.
So now that the election is tomorrow, I'm freaking terrified. My husband and I definitely don't have money to leave the country, especially with 6 cats, one of whom is sick and needs prescription food and stuff. I am stressing myself to death over it, because Donald Trump doesn't need to be anywhere near nuclear launch codes. Everyone in America needs to get out and vote tomorrow, and like says, don't vote 3rd party.
I know someone at work who isn't voting because of something George Carlin once said about how the only way you should be able to complain about what happens politically is if you don't vote. Smh.

I am so ready. Can't wait to follow news outlets once I return home from work. 8D This is so exciting.
My anxiety is so far through the roof right now that even the maximum safe dose of medication isn't doing anything for it.
My hands are shaking so hard that I'm having trouble doing anything constructive. And sleep? Sleep isn't happening.
But I'm going to march myself down to the polling place in exactly two and a half hours, wait for them to open the doors, and vote to keep Cheeto Hitler as far from the nuclear launch codes and any sort of authority as possible. Because, as screwed-up and ridiculous as this country is, I love it too much to let it fall into the hands of Herr Drumpf and his horde of hate-fueled lunatics.
I don't think you've actually thought this through. First off, it's Clinton who will likely go to war as she wants to establish a no-fly zone over Syria, which is usually seen as an act of aggression, and guess who is allied with Syria. Russia. Putin said that Russia will most likely go to war... nuclear war, if Clinton is voted in.
Voting for the lesser evil is, and I cannot stress this enough, STILL CHOOSING TO VOTE FOR EVIL.
I am not a supporter of either candidate. You think she'll uphold and defend the gay marriage legalization when just in 2008 she said she was against it? When she said that her political views lean 'more towards the center'? When she should be in federal prison for those crimes but is not because the government is corrupt as hell and she was clearly guilty according to the law?
Drumpf ain't my first choice, either. Believe me. I'm scared enough as it is now with either person 'winning.' It makes me glad to take my lorazepam 3 times a day instead of angry about having to take them 3 times a day just to function. Well, I still can't function in society, and I am legally declared mentally disabled, but still.
I would have voted for Bernie, and you know what? Against Trump, it's an easy victory. But again, Clinton and the DNC fucked everything up for everyone.
Unfortunately, I do think she will win, either by hook or by crook... literally. At least with Trump, though I absolutely despise the disgusting being, has the potential to change. He has a helluva lot to learn though so I don't think it can be accomplished easily, if at all, to see positive changes. Like the wall thing-- it's impractical, costly, and time-consuming. Meanwhile, up to half of illegal immigrants come from airplanes, and there has actually been a decrease in the number of illegal immigrants.
And the drug issue... it's like the man (and I use that term loosely) is stuck in the eighties. Not all drugs come from South America. In fact, the drug of choice here in America seems to be heroin, and/or fentanyl. Even krokodil has come to America, and you can make that shit at home. You can get fentanyl and other opiates easily as well, which people do, here in America. Plus, there's more than the criminal aspect of it, and we are not addressing that facet of rehabilitation.
Sorry, kinda got rambling there ^_^;
Anyways. Both are unqualified or, at the very VERY least, untrustworthy to run this country fairly and with consideration to its people.

Okay, not sure when this turned into Debates forum, but...uh...wow, more than a little hyperbolic in here.
My state votes by mail so I voted two weeks ago. I love that we can do that and wish more states could do so. It makes things far easier and less stressful.
Politics is a heated subject and it's okay to discuss the election here, but this is NOT a debate forum. It's a subforum for news. Keep the discussions civil and on topic, please.

Cheeto Hitler I'm dying here right now
...anyway, I wish you all the best of luck to go through all this election mess. I'm watching it from a (more or less) safe distance!
I'm not American, but I wish everyone the best of luck. I think the US is in trouble, BIG time. Unfortunately, one of them is going to win and I fear Trump will.
I saw a picture with a caption on FB that read: Can't wait to watch the season finale of America.
I'm probably not straight either. Move to Ontario, in my city to be exact...we can hang out and be BFF 8D
I voted today! Please if you are able and haven't already, go vote!
I voted this morning. Everyone at work is talking about it, and I'm getting really anxious. Someone is talking about how the first results are only hours away and I'm just like O.o

I was third in line at my polling place this morning, and didn't get a sticker, was a little miffed cos hey I like getting my sticker. Found out tonight that my entire county opted not to do the whole sticker thing and now it's become a whole mini-scandal with all the radio stations covering THAT instead of the actual election.
This was my first time voting on election day - I've never lived in a state that didn't have early voting before so I was always able to vote on a Saturday or Sunday when I was, y'know, available and not having to squeeze it in around my work schedule. I do not like it D<
i wasn't able to vote today. i was gonna have mom drive me but she wasn't having a good day (physically, she has back problems really bad) so then i asked dad to take me when he got home but he's been sick for a while and today he was miserable and my dad's health is more important to me than voting. so now i am watching the campaign results on tv with mom.
pretty nervous. :O

My county doesn't give out stickers either. Everyone here seems really angry about it, but at least they're focusing on the election. Mostly.
