I'm not sure how long they've been doing this where I am. I just moved here last year and there hasn't been an election other than the primaries so far until now.

I can't even be upset about it anymore. I'm just disappointed and disgusted that people want Cheeto Hitler so badly.

Unfortunately, I knew he was going to win. I guess people want a bigotted, self-centered, homophobic as president; not to mention, he is downright crude and appalling.

tbh both candidates aren't worthy successors, but to see Trump winning like this is just awful. and afaik, in states that elected Obama before? now even with California Hillary is behind the guy again.

i'm not from the US, but after a coup here in Brazil i'm watching this very closely to see if the situation there will be as dire as it is here... :(

I need to just go to sleep. I need to stop obsessively watching the numbers. I did my job. I did what I could. When I wake up in the morning, if I have to start looking into a Visa, then I guess that's just what I'll have to do.

I'm just so disheartened. I didn't want to believe he could win. I've not cared much about politics in my life but I honestly could just cry about this. He's such a terrible, horrible human being. Why would anyone want him to be the representation of our nation? I don't even like Hillary but against someone like the cesspool that is Donald Trump, it's a non-issue to vote for her.

I cannot fucking believe this is happening. Jesus fucking christ. :(

Trying hard not to panic right now. These are just the initial results, many places still haven't finished voting, there's still a chance that even more Republican voter fraud will nullify a lot of votes once it's uncovered...

So far, these results are just unbelievable.

god, everything seems so hopeless. i just feel... empty. i thought america was better than trump, i really did. like, even if he doesn't end up winning, the fact that nearly half the country voted for him is enough to depress the hell outta me. ugh...

We are utterly, comprehensively screwed unless massive Republican votefraud is unearthed and/or some other miracle happens. I'm just. I give up. I wasn't even this horrified on 9/11... mostly because I wasn't, at fourteen, really aware of the ramifications but partly because I was on the opposite end of the country. This? This is going to effect ALL of us. The Greatest Generation is shaking their heads at us, both those still here and those passed Beyond.

You know, I really didn't think it could get more embarrassing to be an American after Bush, but boy was I wrong! This whole election season has made me want to crawl in a hole and stay there for the next four years, but especially now that it looks like Trump is going to win the presidency. Sorry rest of the world, we fucked up really REALLY bad.

In all seriousness, though, this is awful. The economy is already crashing (look at what's happening to the American dollar right now) and violence is going to ensue regardless of who wins the election.
