hey so me and are really trying to get some more activity in any way we can in the forums so there are a ton of hangouts specific to groups of people and we wanted to make a hangout that anyone and everyone can come in at any time, without feeling like they can't be a part of it :) so i hope this pics up, i'll ping which we made for anyone who'd like to join us in creating more activity and alerting members to new discussions!

for me right now i'm making sketches of all my pets and then i'm gonna ink and color them and it's pretty exciting because i have a loose idea of all of them but if i draw them and try to uniquely design all their headshots and so on, i'll get more ideas? and i'm hoarding sP for slots. waiting for melody's potion achievement and merana >:(

ugh pet slots just get more expensive in the mc although the nice thing about csc inflation is it doesn't seem that expensive now than when it was first released xD

Training does seem to take forever to get anywhere, but even if you don't autotrain, it moves faster than you think. I've never autotrained - the option didn't exist when my battle pet was a low enough level to make it worthwhile. Also each session gives you a chance to earn up to 3 stats, so it isn't really 1 at a time.

I remember working on shop till saver. It was a frustrating one, but it did help me develop some good habits and self-restraint when it came to spending sP.

Member for 10 years, 4 months, 5 days is how I've managed to get such a high post count - that's an average of just under 5 posts a day!

I enjoyed morostide this year. I really liked the random trick or treating option. I managed to acquire all ears needed for the achievements so I was really happy about that. LOL not so happy about the dresses, hats and brooms though, trying to restock any of those has been a nightmare.

Didn't do anything for Halloween other than give out candy and put up a couple of little decorations.

I am looking forward to Fireside. There are few older/retired items that I'm hoping we'll be able to find questing, like they did for Morostide with Cinthia and Pete.

i think it's a really good idea to help me get back into writing ^_^

maybe i'll give it another shot, then. i do want to enjoy that part of the site.

Woot for chatting :D Ooh yay for sketching! I love to see what people come up with. waits excitedly to see yours I'm too chicken and time-frazzled to do it myself, but I always want to. I have been developing my pets' stories in little blurbs on their pages, but nothing official anywhere yet. I ignore all the new pets in the meanwhile because I don't need any more till these are fancy dagnabit! heh If it helps, I've always gone with a subconcious training type method - basically I put my battle pet on my sidebar and so if the green words pop up I put them back in training. I also just throw all boosters/amulets into my vault to be used when I need a big boost. I almost always forget to do battlequests, but I did join the ping group for that to try to do them more. Now and then I go in and spend the exp points, and I read every book I get to my battle pet right away now that there is no hoarding and if I want another copy for a TC or something, I add it to my WL. I used to play spindles a lot for the intel as well, but it doesn't work so well for me now.

I'm currently... -trying to amp up training efforts because I just barely missed beating Nightlady this year and I want to be sure to get those 10 wins against Rouland next year </3 That pretty purple sword shall be mine! -trying to save up for Lumi because I suck at presents SO bad -sorting out my hoard - I just finally got it all moved to my vault and deleted the old gallery. -avoiding working on the cw I started because I have no confidence in my art skills -wishing I didn't get overwhelmed by meaningful communication. lol I can blab away on random threads but when it comes to direct pings/comments I almost always start/stop writing 20 times and take forever to get back to people. :/

oh no, you spent csc on auto-training D: nooooo, don't do that! I did that one and caved in around tier 6 I think? And it's really not worth the csc. Just go the slooooow route and train manually. Being at tier 1 sucks because your pet seems useless but keep training! I trained haphazardly and am at tier 10 now. It takes months and years but it will be worth it! n__n

Lumi gifting season ... ngl .. that's super stressful because on one hand I want to get everyone cool things but on the other hand my bank account in sp weeps and I feel like if I got one person a cw I would have to get everyone a cw and it's basically a gifting nightmare of not feeling adequate enough t___t

aw, noooo don't say that!! have you posted in the cw discussion thread where other artists can give constructive feedback? :3 don't give up! even if you have to temporarily give up and go for a simpler cw or something and then go back to it.. you can do it

I try to post every day in the "what did you get threads" - hustler, gallery, fruit tree, etc. That helps with the post count. When I feel up to it I go into the bragging section and congratulate people, but it moves so slowly and I often don't know what to say other than a simple "congrats."

I have 36 forum points, so I'm doing okay there.

Some years the event threads count, other years they don't. I know I got a lot of posts from dance/flower/tot above threads over the years. So that helped. Years ago, they also used to have a recent posts sections, so you could actually see where conversations where happening. That was really helpful for raising your post count and keeping the forums moving.

We didn't get too many totters IRL, it was raining for part of the evening. So the few we did get got a huge handful of candy instead of a couple of pieces. The costumes were pretty normal, I don't remember seeing any Elevens (but then I wouldn't have recognized it, I don't watch that show and I first heard about the character only yesterday).
