I joined the ping group when you first posted about it a while back but was too scared to use it, so thanks for making this thread! I would love to get more chat going in the forums that isn't limited to the same few ping groups, because even though they say new people are welcome it's just so intimidating! I'm pretty anxious, so I'm not good at posting and especially replying, but I want to get better.

I know it's not chit-chat but I saw this thread in general discussion about a week ago and had a blast reading everyone's posts there, so I figured I'd link it here in case people were interested in joining the theories and questions there. More seriously... I'm assuming most people here are American, and the events over the last few days are hitting everybody hard. Even in Australia everything feels different now. I hope none of this ends up as bad as it seems, and you can all stay safe and find some sort of hope.

I can only hope that everybody is right when they say it won't be as bad as it seems, but it's so hard to believe that. I'm torn between wanting to bury my head in the sand and pretend it isn't happening or paying as much attention as possible just to stay in the loop. As an aside (that is, if distraction is something you'd like), I really love your leashed pet's name. I've been trying to come up with good 'astro' related names for months now that aren't already taken with no luck (I'm not very imaginative), and Astrielle is so pretty, especially for such a recently created pet!

yeah, it's a very silly show ehehe tbh xD I personally prefer the lore behind another magical girl show - puella magi madoka magica BUT the characters in sailor moon are charming and memorable (plus puella is shorter so like there's not nearly enough bonding time as sm)

hows everyone? i had a night shift at my bakery and came home with some free mini sponge cakes ;__; i love my work because when our stuff expires we get to keep whatever we want. also all the day old breads are donated at the end of the night as well !! i havent had to go grocery shopping for bread or sweets since i started working here

Hello there! Gonna go look at that thread when I have a moment.

I'm Canadian, but being so close to the US, it has already affected us. Hate crimes have gone up significantly, not as much as down south, but still heartbreaking. To keep from feeling totally helpless I've been doing some reading on what to do if/when I witness harassment and such. It's helped a bit. I strongly feel that preparing for events like this will help with the "bystander effect" if I ever witness something happening and allow me to actually intervene.
