Can someone tell me what the 4 lines under my human avatar mean? And how can I tell how many posts I have? I need 100 to get into the blue building? Thanks
[tot=PrincessMiMi]
The hearts are to 'like' someone's HA or post, the trophy with the number is how many achievements you have, and the speech bubble with a number is how many posts you've made (which is currently 28).
Oh wow. Thank you for the information. I could not find it any where. I guess to get 100 posts for the blue building some of my posts might be a little simplistic.

Question, back several years ago i dont remember having this problem but how come when i add a backdrop or background to my outfit the rest of my avatars hair disappears? I thought it was a layering problem but even in the default hairstyles i cant get it to layer properly. Is it a glitch?

i need to know how i can get my avatar to wear diffrent eyes and mouths i can't get them to show
i seriously need help with my backdrops! i have several backdrop items i've been DYING to use and can't because it covers my body all over!!
you've got to go green...baby.
@ loopa are you putting the Background layer below your Base layer? Which order you put things in can make a big difference.
[edit] if you put the Bucket of Icewater above your Base, then all you'll see is the backdrop.

thank you soon much didn't know I had to do that! That helps a ton!!

@/loopa you're welcome! :)
Playing around with the order of layers is one of my fave things in the Wardrobe. You can even hide the default Eyes and Mouth by dragging them underneath the Base layer; then you can try out the non-default eyes and mouths like or with no stray pixels.
While I'm here ... gonna add an advert for my two Useful HA Threads:

Hi, I need some help. I would like a non-human avatar and I saw your post above on how to cover up your person but it doesn't seem to be working for me? I read somewhere if I got white out it would cover up my person and have a white background but its not working. Would you be able to help me?
[edit]Post edited for readability, including by future thread-browsers!
@/xxAmby hi there! No worries; I'll be glad to help, and Subeta's wardrobe system can be very confusing.
Whiteout won't cover up your person, though you can't really tell that from looking at the item or its previews. It covers up all the background around the person (which can be useful for other things). Once you're playing around in the Wardrobe you can see more easily.
To cover up the person in your avatar and make a nonhuman one, the simplest item to use is Vanishing Cream.
Once you've got the item, then you get into the complicated bit ... how to use it in the Wardrobe.
Throwing together some screenshots to try and help!
the prologue: putting wearable items into your wardrobe
A rather obvious hurdle that tripped me up on my first day: if you want to wear an item, it's not enough to own it, you have to put it into your Wardrobe. That's the site's way of allocating that item for you to use on your avatars.
You can often do this as you buy an item: there will be a grey Add to Wardrobe button you can click:
[box=#d2d57e]if you buy from from an NPC shop:[/box]

[box=#d2d57e]or buy from a user shop:[/box]

[box=#d2d57e]Or you can add items from in your Inventory:[/box] once you've clicked on the item, look for the Move to Wardrobe link instead of a button, among several other options that you could do with the item.

[spoilertitle]* The main part: how to use the Wardrobe *[/spoilertitle][spoilercontent] [box=#d2d57e]1. When you open the Wardrobe[/box] When you click on the Wardrobe link from in the Personal menu (up at the top of the screen), it loads to this splash screen:

You can (mostly) ignore the text on the right ("Beta Wardrobe" and "New Wardrobe" headers); just look at the line up at the very top, "Subeta Wardrobe". Those words are links: the first 4 are different tabs you can use to build your avatar:
| Items - | different wearable items that you can stack onto the avatar |
| Base - | a few basic settings like skintone, sex, facial features |
| Skins - | special options that give you a different Base. Skins are gained through site events (eg you can get zombie skins during Survival in February), achievements, etc. Ignore this one for now |
| Hair - | lets you set style and color |
| Outfits - | if you save any avatars, they will be stored there to admire, reuse, share, and edit in the future |
| Organize Items - | this opens a new tab to a system for sorting your wardrobe items into Drawers |
| Back to Subeta - | opens in a new tab so that if you click it you don't lose the avatar you've been working on |
[box=#d2d57e]2. The tab you want is the ITEMS one.[/box] These are the parts of the Wardrobe:
LEFT: what items you've selected. CENTER: how they look. RIGHT: items to pick from.

Here, I'm using just three items for simplicity, including your Whiteout:
(Note the left column list is not just those three: you can't remove Hair, Eyes, Mouth, Nose, or Base. But you can hide them underneath other items.)
[box=#d2d57e]3. Selecting and ordering items[/box] Clicking on an item in the right section selects it: it will get a little box around it there, and also appear in the left column.
In the left column, you can drag-and-drop them up and down on that list to arrange them how you want. The order that you put them in makes a huge difference!
Here, I've pulled the Used Blue Paint Can to the top. You can see on the item's hover preview that it completely covers the full rectangle of the avatar. And yup, in the Wardrobe, pulling it to the top of the list, above everything else, completely covers them.

[box=#d2d57e]Or here's the TLDR of how to hide the human:
[ol]
Then you can add other things in on top of the Vanishing Cream, like your chickens!
Oh yes, a final point ... click the green Wear Now button to set your assembled items as your avatar. Sometimes I forget to do that. ;)[/box]

You just gotta get ones without a cutout (human-shaped hole): These are no good here because they still show the human.

There is loads that you can do without having a human in your avatar. Just for fun, here are some of mine:

I've recently used a couple of these topics and noticed they could use some updating by their owners: Tattoo/body ink/scar items (WIP) Many broken item names, outdated, and a bit messy/hard to navigate overall. Altering Wearables -Masterpost- Outdated
I'd also like to recommend a couple to be added: The Great Menu of Food Wearables (WIP) Directory of food wearables (still a WIP, but is being actively worked on) Layering backdrop bits: floor, wall, sky, props, SFX Super helpful directory of layerable items for backdrops Zombie Cover-Up For Bases 1-10 Handy list of methods for recreating all 10 natural bases for when you're a zombie
Awesome thanks for letting us know! I'll check on these to add and make sure to clean up the list. <3
