I really love Fantine's Bakery already and have a few ideas for future things to work towards since I saw books and wearables mentioned as potential things that could maybe happen in the announcement comments:

*A recipe book created by Fantine *A book called "Cake Disasters", possibly with a plastic baby riding an icing carrot on the front *A randomized Morse code pastry/Morse code pastry box from the zombie event Fantine was in (possibly during Survival only?) *"The Baker" title for reaching X number of levels *"is RAW!" for burning a recipe on the first try *"wasn't chopped!" for getting a high-level recipe right on the first try *Seasonal/event-only recipes that are concentrated at levels 1-3 and involve some of the floating items found during that time, possibly *A held baking tray item similar to Fantine's, possibly with oven mitts *A held spoon/mixer dripping with batter and a bowl of batter tucked between the body and the other arm *A face layer wearable that looks like a tongue licking lips *A body or fullbody layer wearable that looks like patches of flour *An open oven beanbag *Dessert-themed wearables (possibly as a set with the wig being the last/highest level item?) (Possibly inspired by Subeautique) *A fancy wedding cake foreground item *A kitchen background item *A random chance of, very very rarely, generating an extra candy heart during Survival *A body oil-ish wearable called "Buttery Sheen" that implies, in the description, that you smell terrible with possible references to a Handmaid's Tale

Other suggestions: burned recipes should halve or fourth experience gains rather than offering nothing. You can learn from your mistakes, after all!

Get hype!

[Edit] Also: margarine and vegetable shortening as an alternative to butter, soy and almond and rice and lactose-free milk, and sea salt (possibly with a warning about making sure to get your iodine in), salt blocks, and pink salt as an alternative to salt.

Even more: achievements for vegetarian and/or vegan options used for a recipe you are attempting. Say, instead of using milk and butter, you use coconut milk and margarine, that would net you the achievement.

Excellent book ideas from someone who clearly understands food plus a super rad title idea:

Been dreaming of a "Is a pastry chef" title.
Also, I made a long list of possible books on the 13th HERE that can be tied in.

Fantastic! Even if it was something like 5 percent, that would be neat. Thank you for the info!

YES. YES TO pretty much ALL OF THIS. Been dreaming of a "Is a pastry chef" title. Also, I made a long list of possible books on the 13th HERE that can be tied in.

I'd like to have recipes that are using the frostings and the food colorings from The Bake Stop. :D

how about a 'can't cook' title for burning an item x amount of times (either in a row, or total, or burning one+ of each item :P ) and a "learned how to cook" once you reach the current cap on the level / bake one of each item successfully

he/it | I'm afraid I'm a bit lost around here. | | |

FLOURS ! Flours, flours, and more flours. We have the basic, which I assume is All Purpose (A.P.) flour, which can be used as a substitute for most other things BUT we need more. Almond Flour (Gluten Free), substitute for some baked goods; a staple in others (Parisian Macaroons !) Pastry flour, used in most sweet pastries (pastry dough, pie dough, some cookies, biscuits, and sweet [no yeast] breads). Cake Flour, used for most cakes and cupcakes, sometimes pastry/pie dough's. Bread Flour, kinda self explanatory as well. Wheat Flour, used mostly in bread making but can be used in laminated dough's (basically bread), and some muffins, pancakes, waffles, etc. Soy Flour (Gluten Free), substitute for some cookies, and breads (yeast is fine with this one) Semolina Flour, pastas, pizzas, etc. Rye Flour, specific bread flour ! Self-Rising flour, has an added leavening agent, usually for biscuits or non-yeast breads, but some specific cakes. Those are some of the more common ones, but here is a nice link for more ! Hell, I may have missed some good ones (like rice flour, but that isn't used for baking I don't think ?).

OH AND SALTS ! While generally in baking you would just use kosher or sea salt, I looove the idea of bringing in more. Kosher Salt (it's not the one we have on site) Himalayan Pink Salt Celtic Salt Fleur de Sel Hawaiian Green Salt Hawaiian Black Volcanic Salt Hawaiian Red Sea Salt Kala Namak (Indian Black Salt) Danish Smoked Salt

There are SO MANY MORE SALTS. But most of these are different colors.

I just had this exact though, so I'm happy it's going to happen!

I like that there's a lot of unique items, but wouldn't mind seeing a flavour variations. Something like Homemade Chocolate Cake could easily become the Homemade White Chocolate and Strawberry Cake, for example, or Homemade Coffee and Walnut Cake. It would be nice to see some of these more generic recipes expanded upon. Hundreds of recolours aren't necessary, but where it feels appropriate and sensible I'd support it.

More ideas: Vanilla bean paste Candied citrus peel (orange, lemon, lime, grapefruit, tangerine) Edible dusts (glitter, pigments, pearl [pigments and peal dust differ in that pigments have more color and are usually a bit more matte, pearls add very little color but make things shiny]) Edible gold (sheet or dust) Edible silver, bronze, copper dusts Decorative pearls, flowers, etc. Marzipan, fondant, gum paste, pastillage Airbrushing kit

When I think about baked food, I also think about baked fish, lasagna, baked potatoes etc.

Would it be feasible to add some savory recipes to baking?

I don't know how feasible this is, but thought I'd ask! , here I posted it :P

I'm really liking the new baking feature, it's great and an awesome idea. Only one problem is now I have an inventory stuffed to the brim with all sorts of ingredients.

I could obviously move them to a vault or shop/gallery and remove them as needed, but well, that's really tedious. I've been wanting to do quests but don't feel like sorting the items in my inventory out into sellables and baking goods. I understand I'm just lazy, but there ya go.

I was wondering if we could have some sort of "cupboard" or "pantry" that we can move the ingredients into and Fantine can just grab from there when we go to make something. This could even be branched out more in the future if something similar comes along for say just general cooking or whatever. A central place to store all our ingredients so they don't have to clutter our inventories.

Edit: You got a forum point while making a post! Check out the shop here! The site approves!

It's more about "bakery food" than "baked food"

Like, I never saw baked potatoes in bakeries.

I like that idea. :D

We will have more savory things, but not quite on the level of lasagna and what not. Right now we have the Spinach Egg Pie, and we can always add more things like that in the future. :) I would personally love to see some savory Borekas in the future!

Yeah, if you go to a baker and ask for something savory you aren't going to get that stuff. Breakfast muffin, scone, casatiello, possibly pizza, topped focaccia, quiche, or maaaaybe a meat pie.

All I can think right now is how badly I want to make focaccia so I can make an amazing pizza out of it. Most bakeries that aren't specific to one thing (like cake/cupcake places) will do that. I've seen bread-specific bakeries offer specialty soups because they can use their sourdough as bowls. It's a great way to use up extra ingredients and bring in ore customers.
