I have been doing most of the quests since the start of the New Year event and I have found that the quests don't give out enough tokens considering how expensive the shop items are; especially those from earlier years.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Or am I just not questing enough?

I know there is a big concern that items could possibly devalue, but when so many are needed for achievements: the cost needs to come down and/or the dispense rate needs to increase. Also -- MD and BQs could hand out tokens too since all other quests do.

And that's a good point about the quests -- MD and BQs should give out quest points as well! Well, maybe it wasn't the point you were making, but I'm going with it… ;)

When the shop closes will the older items become restockable through other means?

The shop is open all year, it's just that the tokens are only given out for the first couple of weeks of January. But you could still buy them from users and such if you wanted to later on.

Or just wait until next year to get more tokens again. I'm pretty sure Amber has said previously that they have no plans to retire any of those items from the New Years Shop now.

I haven't gotten a single RE. At all.

Can't get everything in one year? Buy tokens, or try again next year. it's kinda the same deal with forum points. can't afford everything in there? buy tickets or post more. it's nice to have some things on the site that you can work towards. not everything should be attainable right away. (unless we're talking about the snowball achievement, in that case, this should be more practical)

BQ rewards are just there so maleria quest items don't inflate too much, you know that battlers don't actually use most of that junk :c (except the exp, that is nice. and the tokens are okay too I guess)

What?? I'm having the opposite situation. I get around 60-70 tokens a day, which seems like plenty. And that's just from quests. I also get them from random events. They were much much MUCH harder to get in the past years, last year I probably got 70 tokens TOTAL through the whole event instead of daily.... I love the drop rate of tokens this year. I'm very surprised to hear that this huge increase is still not enough.

I got one RE and that was it.

Going to have to second what said. I've been getting 60-70 tokens per day through all the quests and a few from RE's as well. I also love the rate they are going out this year. Last year they were impossible to obtain it seemed. I find the rate to be fine. If all else fails the items or even the tokens themselves can be bought from other users, but I don't see a need for an even bigger increase.

I am getting around 35-45 per day, and I feel that is quite satisfactory! I wouldn't begrudge more though ^ ^

- I'm around 30 forum posts in and YET to see a Forum Point. I've been trying to be more active because I want some items from the shop. It feels pointless though since they just seem too random/rare from my experience :/

make friends on a chit chat thread and talk daily, put your opinion out there on threads that call for it. 30 posts with no point is just bad luck, eventually that'll turn around. points add up if you just use the forums daily and that's what the points promote.

to stay on topic, yeah the rates seem better this year for NY tokens, and the RE is a nice addition.

I really like the RE especially when I get it during a quest that I also get a token from.

- Compared to last year's NY token availability, this year is much MUCH better. I can actually get enough in a single day to buy something from the shop. Last year, I believe it was only Major Drills who gave them out, I could barely make 5 a day.

I've also gotten a LOT more than the previous year(s). I was finally able to buy all of the remaining books my pet hadn't read yet, which I wasn't able to do last year, since I barely got enough tokens to get last years items, let alone items from the years before that.

I did make sure to do all of the quests that give out tokens every day, with just the random event ones I wouldn't have nearly enough. I do wish they would have included the weekend to close up the event (so ending on Sunday instead of Friday), that would give the working/studying people a bit more time to be active during the day before it ends.
