I have mixed feelings about the birthday.. So I'll start with my positive feelings: I love the new items and especially the Dinosaurs items, the plushies are so cute and perfectly drawn! so thanks a lot for this! Also, the new shopkeepers entries in the Subetapedia are a great addition to the site, it was fun to read a little bit about them :)

Now.. negativity :P

Well.. I'm disappointed, I wanted some floating items, more activities and to get crazy things like we get every year. Only 9 news items were released and 5 new wrapping papers. Nothing associated with games, quests, not even some news achievements.. It felt like any other regular day, and it's not :(

I hope that we will get some new things today or at least the reason of the quiet birthday is that something big is coming very soon.

We've got a barrage of holidays/events coming up and we just ended a plot. This time of year is also typically busier for people irl, either back into the swing of work or school after the summer.

I'm satisfied and looking forward to Keel Hauliday.

I said this on another thread but I feel the same way: I understand last year was the big 10 years, but after last year's festivities this year feels like it fell very flat. There wasn't even any floating items this time, so no reason to stay online. Seriously I was barely even here yesterday, no point.

I agree, it didn't even feel like a celebration, just a normal day. :/

I personally didn'T have a need for goodie bags with gaudy items with a 11 written on them, tbh.

Also, I was told someone in creative department recently had a kid, or something like that, so that's why some things were slower

Considering the stuff that was done during the year (theme months and whatnot), I kinda get why things would be slower for the anniversary. Still a little disappointing, but also understandable? People do get burned out. I figure they'll make up for it with new stuff once the autumn event extravaganza starts.

Now, if only they would add the longtime member achievement tier and prize for 11 years, I'd be a happy camper. -hinthint-

Our 10th Anniversary was a Really Big Deal, so we had quite the party for it. It's likely that the next few anniversaries will be much more low key affairs, so we can work on making much nicer items for Keelhauliday (which starts tomorrow!), and then Alegarten on the 1st. The items that come from those holidays are far more suggested/wanted/used.

The usual floating items based on the anniversary number traditionally don't hold up well in users hearts (or shop prices!) so we've pretty much done away with those. We're sorry to disappoint!

I understand what you say, if it's possible to find a different activity to replace the floating items it would be wonderful, I'm sure you can come up with amazing ideas (maybe we can also suggest some too before the 12th birthday).

It's just I love Subeta so much and I'm sure many users too so we want to celebrate the birthday -the special day- in a wonderful way "^_^

But anyway I have new dinosaurs items and this is makes me so happy, you already know how much I love them (Drunk and pirate dinoasurs plushies hint xD)

Anniversary items are mostly hit or miss, you're right. Years4 and 5 especially had great stuff.

6th and 7th anniversary were ESPECIALLY BAD. And then, it got better with 8 and upwards.

Things like , and are always going to be relevant, things like are numbered, but still desirable because of art quality.

And then, you got this

CAN WE FORGET 6TH AND 7TH ANNIVERSARY HAPPENED?

- We had the celebration items brought back to the quest shops, and we released the NPC 'Shopkeepers' Subetapedia section, as well as those new dino items! (The NPC thing was quite big for us! It may not look it, but it's very special for us)

I hear you though - it's nice to celebrate things like this if possible. We've sort of been celebrating with pirate items, which I can't wait for you guys to see.

Thank freaking god we didn't have floating items. I think this year was done just right and the dinosaurs were a fun addition. Subeta doesn't need a massive spam release on a single day for this, seriously. Quality > quantity.

I wanted a bunch of junk from this holiday, it means I could frag stuff o-o

I would have liked a new bopper, or at least new prizes in them. I think it's kind of sad the site doesn't celebrate its own birthday as much as it celebrates talk like a pirate day and octoberfest. I really didn't expect much though.

I admit to initially being a little disappointed in the lack of floating items, but I'd definitely rather have more/better stuff for Keelhauliday/Alegarten, so nbd.

I think the Subetapedia Shopkeepers is lovely, I hope it will be extended with more info about the shopkeepers, some updates about their present life, to know them better and better :)

But just to let you know, that even if I'm disappointed a little bit, I appreciate and love everything that we've got, so thank you very much for everything this birthday and I can't wait to see the new pirate items!! :D

I love the lack of floating items, tbh. They always stress me out until I realize that I've grabbed like 900 bags too many and then even after getting all the items I don't do anything with that. The wearables are usually novelty and don't really work with a regular outfit and the rest are just basic fluff to the collections.

Although for some reason I thought maybe the anniversary is where we'd get another site wide event bringing users together in a non-battling way like the Quest-a-Thon, but with the Quest-a-thon being earlier in the Summer and Kiyo having just happened I guess I'm not too upset.

Also, I really love the start to the fleshing out of the site with the tiny NPC blurbs we were given. I would definitely want that over items any day if that's a trade off that needs to be made.

I am also disappointed at the lack of floaters. I love all the random stuff and now we can frag it too. It would have been nice to see something new replace them. maybe just one or two temporary celebratory items in each shop. Mostly I am sad there is no birthday cake :(

Having time for Keelhaul and Alegarten is nice but surely not as important as the anniversary of Subeta?!

I love the new npc section but to be honest it doesn't feel celebratory.

On another side note, maybe it would be nice to move Alegarten to a time of year when it's not so busy.

I still stand by having at least ONE numbered thing. A book, perhaps, as those fair well.

I kind of like the floating items, just not the fact that they have numbers plastered on them. Except in the case of like, food and books because people will need those regardless. And with the fact that we can frag all the extras now, it'd be nice to keep them going.

But at the same time, I'm not super bothered by the fact that we didn't have any of that. I much prefer Keelhauliday anyway

I didn't mind the low-key anniversary. Last year's was busy and more hype for obvious reasons. This year we got some fun and cute items and a new book, so I'm happy :)

I'm okay with no floating items/stuff with 11 on it. I like the new released items that will keep their value better and can be given for user birthdays too :3

not just saying this because there's a sticker with balloons on it

Also THANK YOU for bringing back the anniversary quest shop items! I needed another ghost plushie for a gallery, and I'll probably grab extras of some of the others. Like the book with balloons on it. You know.

I kinda miss the floaties. I'm a hoarder at heart, so the more the merrier. XD. And I always like new books and food. I'd have been happy with an 11th anniversary cupcake or book, to keep the theme going from previous years (and cupcakes and books are more likely to keep value because you can read/feed them).

..and yes, I love that the anniversary items were brought back...I didn't get them all last time!

Do you have a rare item that just won't sell? Are you going through the high levels of Item Hunt? Or maybe you just HATE that blue bunny? Then you should join IHH helpers and IHH bargain in the forum groups!
