Even a simple birthday should have a "Cupcake"..with a candle :)imo

Very unsatisfied with the "celebration". It started getting bad last year. No goodie bags but there were floating items. And it was over a week long. Now this year, one-day celebration (I'm assuming), no goodie bags, NO floating items, NOTHING related to the 11th birthday. I understand we're trying to go for generic items here, but can't we have BOTH?

I'm okay with it being low key. I'd have loved to see a handful of items (maybe just as free gifts, or as new items in the MC/QS) but if the choice is birthday items and sweet pirate/alegarten stuff I'll always choose the latter.

Maybe next year the anniversary could coincide with a Quest-A-Thon or something to get the whole site on and playing without over-taxing the artists before the bigger fall holidays?

The 10th was a week long because it was a decade mark anniversary. Those are meant to be special. Staff has moved away from goodie bags because not many people liked them since most of the items in them were useless and became worthless.

I'm ok with low-key, but I was expecting there to be at least something interactive to actually encourage me to sign on and play. Even something simple like having all quests give out double quest points or something. Like someone else said, it mostly just felt like another day.

I was under the impression, though, that Keelhauliday had been cancelled because of the plot, so I'm glad to see that's not the case.

Oh, that was it? I'm disappointed then. I've been missing the festivities and the goodie bags. We've gotten close to nothing and it feels like Subeta is not even celebrating their website itself?

Kinda sad.

10th birthday notwithstanding, Subeta's anniversaries have always been quiet. I'd rather see more focus on producing awesome content and stuff for the next few holidays.

I would have liked a single achievement at least, just to serve as a benchmark/memory of being around when the site turned 11.

There will be an achievement for people that have been around for 11 years, but usually, we don't really need an achievement for logging on during the anniversary

I absolutely hate achievements gotten for just being there and doing nothing. What did we achieve? Nothing.

Achievements can be used to remember different plots/site events, etc. Sort of like a scrapbook. Yes, some of them are earned for playing a game or doing another non-time-specific action, and that's totally cool, but it's nice to look through your achievements and think 'Hey, remember when ___?'. Just my two cents. /shrugs

I would be okay with things like adding a set of achievements for the boppers, or for having the new dinosaur plushies, but sorry, I don't deserve an achievement for just logging in because I wanted to check whatever Ujin had in stock.

Even the old birthday achievements involved goodie bags or actually doing something.

Heads-up - the longtime member achievements for being on the site for 11 years was added earlier today.

Many thanks to whoever updated it, but please try to get into the habit of adding it on the day of the actual anniversary? :'D I feel like I bitch about this every year and it's not really something I like doing.

I like a nice quiet anniversary. Then I feel like I don't have to rush to collect everything, especially before all the big fall events.

I was hoping there might be something to do with pets on that day, such as missing colors or a revamp. There are still many more missing colors to go, especially for the storm pets.

The Krypts is probably the best thing worth checking back again through the day :)

I don't really mind this year's anni being low-key since we've got more events just around the corner. I was never all that big of a fan of the anniversary-themed items, floaties were always fun to collect but since they gave out multiples and stuff you could only use once (esp all the number items), no complaints from me.

But hey, happy birthday you oldie, eleven years already. :o

I'd have liked a rerelease of some of the older anniversary items. I love the new Subetapedia entries and that the boppers returned but besides those and the new lifelike dolls the day felt a bit empty. :c
