I might be in the minority, but I honestly don't like the change to the MC. It was fun waiting for the different seasons to come up and get the items (even if some were missed), but now it's just...run-of-the-mill.
It's nice for Chase questers and people who just don't mind having seasonal stuff yearly, but even with the additional 25% markup (which this time I think should've been a LOT more. 50% at least), it just kills the specialness of the seasonal items. You don't see winter stuff for sale during off-season in RL stores, why here? Same with the other seasons. Unless you're shopping at a thrift store, that is.
The Phoenix quill should've been year-round anyway. At any rate, I think the change is disheartening especially when it takes the specialness out of each season. It's a nice idea in theory, but the magic is now gone out of the MC :/

Honestly I don't really care one way or another about this change. The MC was never special, just seasonal. I've been wanting the Ornate Loosely Draped Cloth from the autumn stock and now I can buy it, so I'm happy!
lmao the magic is that i don't have to wait a stupid long time to buy a certain season item if i dont want to shell out inflated user shop prices love this change tbh
There are always new seasonal items introduced when the new season starts. It's not like winter stuff will be released in July. It will still be special when they release new things, this way is just a lot more user friendly.
I personally love this change. It was frustrating to have to wait for such a long time to get things like all the battle items. I don't mind paying a mark-up for the convenience of getting these things whenever I want/need them.
I don't understand this complaint, especially considering that it seems like staff is making a decision to be inclusive regarding whatever is going to happen with the Sphinx Riddle items. Using "specialness" and "magic" to justify this gripe gives it very little weight.

Why should the phoenix quill be year round? Because it's a useful battle item? It's pretty summer specific.
I'm so glad the MC got this change. It's more convenient and the layout is even better. 25% may not seem like a lot, especially for the cheaper MC items, but it will add up and not everyone will buy out of season for that reason, knowing it will be cheaper in season. The MC's one of the most stable sp sinks on site. This just makes it a larger sp sink. This is good news for sp.
The focus of the MC is to sell expensive items to remove sP from the economy.
By allowing other seasonal items for sale, people no longer need to wait almost a whole long year or find items in shop search that are highly marked up, and in some cases unbuyable. Instead of offering a quarter of items, the MC now offers all of them, and even sinks in extra sP for those who want the convenience of buying off season. This is especially useful for battle items, books, and stickers (with the self stickering service to assist it).
There are shops during events such as Peka-boo and Alegarton that sells holiday and event items. Those ones are special.
Additional sP sunk with purchases + added convenience of not having to wait 9 months for things that you missed/forgot = A+++
Plus I know of a store (it's not really a thrift store, but it's one of those "packed to the brim with everything under the sun" stores. Everything is definitely full price tho) that still has winter items for sale right now. It pains me because there's a Christmas village figurine set I really really want and it's ridiculously expensive, it's just taunting me every time I walk in that damn store.
Just think of it as having everything in storage in the back, and if you're willing to pay extra they'll let you clear out some leftover stock to help them out. Less inventory = less shit to move around
I am just disappointed that we seem to have lost the ability to set an alert, is that something you can fix ?
If people have access to items.. "it's not special anymore"
If people dont have access to items.. "why is everything so hard to get"

The MC scalping business has been closed. Oh no!
This is my favorite non-battling related thing in forever.
Grace and I are trying to figure it out! Because we moved it to the /ss/ system, alerts don't work the same way (because none of the other special shops need alerts and the special shops all have the same code pretty much). One user suggested we make an alert button on the side where the back to centropolise button is! I'm going to test that out tomorrow :)
I'm mostly indifferent to the change. I don't often buy from there anyways. But if I had to pick, I would say I all for it
The easier things are to get, the happier I am, so I love this change.
Honestly I don't see how this is any different than how it was before, other than being more beneficial. Before, if you wanted a seasonal item and it was that season, then good for you, go ahead and buy it at normal price. You want something out of season? Pay increased prices from other users and distribute your wealth back into other users hands.
But now, you want something out of season? Pay increased prices and watch the money disappear from the economy. Some people act really surprised like they've never seen an sP sink before, it's weird.
The millionaire center is special in that you're paying hundreds of thousands more sP there than any other NPC shop. I find that pretty unique. This is a very good change, I see no reason for complaint.
But it wasn't special before the change to seasonal either? It has been like this for slightly more than a year, maybe 2 years? Or am I getting the number entirely wrong? Either way i've been here for 7 years and for most part everything in the MC has always been available.
We'll still get new seasonal items every season but you just don't have to pay outrageous prices if you need stuff 3 out of 4 seasons. If you get a pet in week 1 of the new season and you need stuff for a tc you aren't doomed to pay a fortune or wait for 9 more months.
I like this. The mc makes a good sink and we need good sinks like this.

I'm mostly indifferent to the change because I'm indifferent to the MC in general and so I'm pretty sure the MC wasn't special even before this change. I do like that now if I want something from an off-season rotation I won't immediately forget about it, though.
