Nothing like modeling them swimsuits in the dead of winter O.o amiright?
- Just what everyone wants to do, show off how cold it is by how pointy the nubbins get!
I like this change quite a bit. More item availability, an effective sP sink throughout the year - this seems like a good thing to me. Plus as others have said, the change to seasonal stock only happened in the past year or two. It's not like it was always like that to begin with, and it just made it that much harder to remove sP from the economy. I think this was a positive site change.
actually H&M sells some winter or at least cold weather related items right now, in my city. Granted, they're from the old collection and the stuff is discounted and not overpriced, haha. but RL economy works a little different than subeta economy ;)
I think this is change is great because i can buy the stuff i want in my own time. overpriced or not. luminaire comes, and many users will use it as an excuse to gift off-season stuff from MC to their friends.
MC is still 'special' -just look at those prices. And the shopkeeper is Saggi himself. How can this NOT be special? XD
I couldn't agree more.
I'm very happy with the changes. Look at the prices of the stuff that's just retired and tell me that's how the system was supposed to be working. Barely any of the Spring Sphinx items are available. And even then, the prices are massively inflated. There just weren't enough of these items going into the economy.
(Actual reason for post: If anyone else is struggling with no alert at the moment, sync it up with Crypts. It has an hour timer so works perfectly with the MC)
I like this change. It gives me a chance to buy items from other seasons instead of waiting.I think its a great change.
Like a good neighbor, stay over there!

I like it :) if I miss something, there is a limit to how much more I pay. I was in a nice store the other day that is like full of home type stuff (pillows/kitchen items/etc) that had some christmas stuff just randomly on an aisle...and as said above, it happens a lot with clearance items on clothing.

I like this change. I didn't like having to wait 9 months for something I couldn't save up for in time. I'm also a 'slow' shopper, I wait until the last minute to buy stuff and sometimes I couldn't get on in time to grab an MC item before it went out of season. I would much rather pay a slight inflation from the MC than massive inflation from user shops.
I'm glad, now people can't charge 5x the price of an item "because it's off season" People have been trying to profit off the MC forever. Lol@specialness about the MC. .... So in favor of this change.
9 years ago, it didn't even switch for seasons or offer as much variety. There were a few things here and there. So, I've never seen it as particularly special. The seasonal thing is nice, and the off-season items being higher in price is kinda something I like. It's like how you can still get off-season fruits/veg but they're more expensive.
This is a change for the better in my opinion. The out-of-season things cost more, which they should in this case.

From a battler's perspective, this change is very, very good. Phoenix quill should have been a year round item from the get-go and it did suck as to how reborn wand of doom and freezewand of doom are two seasons apart, especially when their combined weapon reborn icewand of doom is so useful in tiers 6-8. Before this, we had to pay extremely high amounts to resellers when we needed that weapon and had a battle event not in that season.

Oh, from pretty much everyone's perspective, it's a good change. Only peddlers and people hoping to bank some coin on unsuspecting people who don't know about seasonal rotation are weeping.
I agree it is a shame. I wouldn't mind it so much either if the price difference were greater.
I agree with OP. I was disheartened at the change as well.

It's supposed to be an sP sink. We need sP sinks for the economy's sake. Having there be fewer items in the MC at any given time does not help it be an sP sink... I'm not sure why anyone would complain about this.
I'm all for this change. The more sp sinks out there, the better for the site. Our economy is insane tbh and we need to spend like mad.
It was never buying things that made anything on here feel special. It was always the people, going through holidays and plots together. Getting exclusive items doesn't feel that special to me, so I don't really get this post.
I get that it's an sP sink and I get that it wasn't that way before, but for 2 years, it has been and that's still a long time. Heck, that's a long time to have new members that don't even remember it the old way. I was here long before that but I miss it already. I agree, it just... lost some of the magic of it. I never bought things to resell in off seasons. Sometimes I'd delete a pet and something would be in it's TC that made it off season, but I never used it as an sP making scheme... so for me it's not about money it's just the niceness of it. Honestly it might have something to do with the holiday shop closing too. Maybe it felt like a step in for that, once that happened for me. There is something about the items being spread everywhere now that just makes it way too... "ugh" for me to deal with. I'd rather just buy from usershops in the middle/end of the holiday. The MC having a group of items all together was nice. Plus it wasn't just about seeing new holiday items, just like during the holidays, it was old favorites coming back. Ones you realized you needed in the middle of the year when you made a new pet, and finally getting them. It was a thing to look forward too now.. I can just get them whenever. shrugs No big.
That being said, I get why the change. If more people are apt to buy there now and it actually takes more money out of the system for people buying items at +25% vs the people who stock up and buy many to sell at a profit throughout the year, then it makes sense and I'm 100% for sense-making but... it still doesn't make me miss the magic any less.
@ Wolf_Spirit Happy Birthday, may that be magical, at the very least.
