It's been almost a year since the last Subeta meetup. Are there any more being planned? Any chance those of us that still don't have the achievement will be able to get it, eventually?

Back when the meetups first happened, members of staff told users that they were looking into ways to ensure that more players would get to go to them (like having MMs host them and so on). It seems like that has been forgotten or pushed to the back burner or whatever.

I still think it would be awesome to have some meetups at Gencon and Dragoncon. My very first Gencon had a scheduled Gaia meetup I was able to hit, and I would love to see one for Subeta happen in Indy one of these years.

Would love to be involved in another meetup!

I also think that hosting a meeting up during an event that people would normally travel for is a good idea (aka. make it worth getting to and give everyone something to get into). For example, Youmacon is held every year at the end of October/Beginning of November and would make a good opportunity to get together.

A meet-up that isn't on a completely different continent would be nice, too - I'm not flying across the Atlantic ocean just to get a Subeta achievement.

When the meetups first started, Keith had an idea that for non-US people, two or more Subeta users could meet up in one place, take photos etc as a group, and that would be considered a meetup and users would be given the achievement.

I'm sad to see the whole thing fall by the wayside, tbh, even though I'm not sure I could even find anyone else playing in my country.

Yeahhh I forgot meet-ups existed.... Even though I went to one once :x It seems like forever since meet-ups were in full swing. I do wish for more, especially one in St. Louis (would have been ideal some years ago) :X And I do hope something can be done for other countries... I mean, isn't Keith in Europe atm? Could easily get some European meet-ups going.

As awesome as it would be for there to be one in St. Louis because I live close to there, right now isn't a good time for it. Back when I first mentioned it, nothing was going on and it would've been perfect, but now not so much. I honestly forgot about these even going on until this was brought up.

It would be awesome to get the idea back ! I do believe there's a lot of non-American people on the website.

Considering is currently traveling around the world, moving to Paris I believe? It should be on his agenda to hold meetups in other countries!

As for in the U.S it nice to hear something, anything about them considering they're an onsite achievement.

But whatever right? We're not supposed to be able to get every achievement I guess.

It's not even about the achievement for me - though I both have it and don't care about collecting - when I went to the London one, it was just really nice to chat with people about Subeta and interact with staff (and I still a pretty Angelic Jollin sketch by stashed away :D) and GRILL Keith hah. It was really cool to see that community brought to life. I'd definitely support further meet-ups.

Well, I live in France now, so I don't know how I will ever get to participate in a meetup :(

I never met a subeta-player in real life, so that would be awesome! Especially if something could be arranged in Europe. It's nice to hear there was a London meet-up: Taking the train to London from The Netherlands isn't that difficult or expensive, so I would love for something like that to happen again.

There are more opportunities, though. A couple of weeks back the first ever Dutch Comic Con was held, that would've been a perfect opportunity! (It was such a success that it's yearly now, and that's amazing! I went to the con myself, and it was great :) Best day in ages!) And I am sure there are many more cons and other events all over the world that would allow subeta players to meet up (with or without staff attending; I think it would just be amazing to meet up with other players!)

I'm afraid it's never going to happen but I would love to see a meeting held in Germany, we have some big games conventions here, too.

I was wondering days ago if there were going to be another meetup.It seem like a good while ago since they last announced having one in the news.It would be great if there could be something setup in Houston area.

Three other Subeta users were at my wedding, I think that should count as a meet-up. XD

I understand that it may not be practical for staff to host meetups often.

But back in 2011, users were told that staff was working on making it so that this achievement was easier for users to get, be it by allowing MMs to host meetups or even allowing multiple users to get together and earn the achievement without any official staff present.

And while I am sure there are a lot of things to consider, like Subeta's potential liability, it's REALLY difficult to not feel like this was just forgotten and those of us without the achievement are SOL

They will never come to my Canadian province so I simply gave up. The only time I could attend a US meetup is when I'm in California.
