Over the past couple of weeks, SubQ has barely been restocking at all. I go in, and it's utterly empty. So I wait a little while, and check again, and it's still empty. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Is this a glitch, or were the restocks purposely slowed? And if so, why? All of the SubQ items were still priced higher in the user shops than the SubQ itself.

SubQ was slowed on purpose to have items retain their value

The items stock but it's literally only 2 of each in stock I think. Which is dumb... I haven't been able to get anything since this changed. :/

If that's true, that reasoning is kind of messed up. Watching SubQ restocks was the most interesting part of restocking there. (Getting invites from random events isn't very engaging.) If it's going to restock so rarely now, then that kind of kills the fun.

1-2 items is not that much, I agree, but before, close to nothing retained value and was worth buying, so SBQ wasn't as great of a SP sink as it could have been.

I'd rather have items retire more often, tbh, than reduced restocks.

It still restocks just as often as it did before, it just restocks less items than previously.

It's not semantics, they are totally different things. If restocking there is what you enjoy, it restocks just as often, you just have to be one of the first people to grab an item.

If floating in 30 minutes after a restock and still finding items you wanted is what you like, that is much harder to do now.

I don't really see how the items weren't retaining value. The average item was still like 800k in the user shops, and about 160k in the SubQ itself. Now I have a whole stockpile of SubQ invites that are just about worthless because the shop is never stocked. Once again, subeta apparently doesn't understand that we can't sit all day on the computer, stalking this shop or endlessly doing this task.

Alright sorry, I'm just thinking on the track of "I enjoy getting the items that I really wanted" rather than restocking, cus I don't really understand its appeal. Refresh after refresh doesn't sound like an enjoyable pastime but heyyy guess we all like different stuff.

But I do agree with Aztec, I don't get how they weren't retaining value. They were still much more expensive in user shops.

I don't know that Subeautique items being 800k in shops is 'much more expensive' considering the items cost 200kish to buy from the Subeautique and the invitations are hovering around 200k right now. That's only a 400k difference and I've always thought of Subeautique items as supposedly being high end/high class that were supposed to be expensive. 800k is not expensive unless we're talking about Oofa Fruit or something.

Most people I know of stockpile the invites they get from the random events. I don't remember the last time I actually bought one from anyone, and the typical SubQ item is only about 160-180k in the shop (excluding the make up for obvious reasons). The COMMON SubQ items are the ones that hovered around 800k in user shops, and I fail to see how that's really 'cheap'. The Super Rare ones I've seen go all the way up to 3mil.

Maybe I just don't get the RE that much then (or don't notice it before I quick stock?), I assumed people that restocked there a lot would need to buy some from time to time in order to keep buying there. My bad.

Still, 3 million isn't that much for items that are supposed to be considered 'high end' wearables (at least that's what the nature/atmosphere/etc of the shop suggests it is). I only scarcely remember before the shop changed to this new format but I think the more popular items were always more expensive back then too? If nothing else, this helps whatever pieces you do have retain value and it's not like all of the items will suddenly sky rocket in price because of this unless they retire soon or something.

Major Drills and I think Drunk Carl still hand out the items from time to time too, so if you'd rather try your luck at their quests you might get lucky from time to time. n_n

If the average user supposedly has 10mil in their vault (unless that number is risen) 3mil is still a fair chunk. Or maybe I'm just cheap :P.

Still, I don't see how they weren't retaining value. SubQ shouldn't have Cash Shop value. I really don't think they should cost astronomical prices to obtain. I've always viewed SubQ as like a mall based store, name brand where the prices are higher, but not ridiculous. Buckle, not Louis Vuitton.

Well I know I'm only one person but I was one of the people who 'float' in later on to get rid of their invites. Now I have lots of invites I can't be asked to try to use and SubQ isn't getting my cash, more often than not it wasn't worth it to buy from users for me, now it is. This change has stopped me from removing sP from the site because why would I want to wait around for a restock I'm probably not going to be fast enough for, when I can just buy from someone else, even at higher cost, only user-user doesn't remove sP = Other than the least popular pieces that dropped in price fairly quickly, most parts of a set retained not a bad price, at least it seemed to stay not far from retail price.

Funny, I have seen SBQ as being closer to Vuitton, a place that reeks of elitism. You need an INVITATION to get in.

Also, wasn't Gargouille Top like 8M when it was still stocking

I remember reading somewhere that the average user also only plays online for somewhere around 15 minutes a day, so I guess it's kinda hard to gear such items towards the average user if that's the case.

I guess this part just comes down to personal opinion, anyways. I agree that they shouldn't cost crazy prices but I don't consider 3 mil to be crazy (if it's something I actually want, that is. Otherwise I can be pretty cheap too haha). xP

Yeah I don't enjoy this at all. I almost never catch a restock on my own, by the time I get a ping the shop is already empty. So right now I'm sitting on a massive pile of invites I can't use.

Seriously though, I'd much rather see a big ol' price hike than this restocking change.

Price hike makes more sense to me if you want them to be oh so exclusive

Fancy stores don't keep things out of stock on purpose. They keep the prices high.
