Look, okay, I get that some trees have been grossly cluttered. But only TEN decorations?

Look, you've got your star, you've got your tree base, you've got your lights or other wrap-around decoration. That's three alone.

Then when you put a wrap-around decoration on, that leaves lots of space for patterned decorations in each section and in the larger ones, you can easily and NOT MESSILY fit five or even like seven at the bottom. With only ten decorations, the trees are gonna look pretty scant. If you HAVE to put a limit on it, which seem silly to me considering the wide array of decorations you've given us, like, what, don't you want us to use them? Not to mention that some people find joy in their stupidly cluttered trees, that's realistically what some trees are like - but if you HAVE to put a limit on it, could we at least do a reasonable limit, like twenty, twenty-five, thirty decorations? (three to start, star, base, wrap, seven on the bottom (10) five in the lower middle, three in the upper middle, two on top (10) for a total of 20 as a low minimum).

Even fifteen would have been better.

it's 25 now. And it's not because of the clutter, it's because of the insane server strain it causes.

I noticed it was ten when I went to decorate my tree, and I was very, very disappointed. I mean I get that it was necessary for some reason or another, I get that, but it's still meh. I'm really happy the limit was pushed up to twenty-five, though.

If the limit is about preventing site lag - I wouldn't have thought of the trees as causing that sort of problem, but that makes sense that it would, and the limit seems like a sensible solution to the problem, so again thanks :) ...This topic could -probably- be locked, unless it makes a difference if anyone else wondering about this wants to see/comment on the topic, too.

25 is a good amount I think. I pulled my hair out a few times last year because of the s l o w moving ornaments and constant crashes. I used the Peka Glad tree because basically comes with pretty decorations-minimal ornaments needed! :D

25... how boring. I usually enjoy overloading the tree with a theme, but 25 basically takes all of the fun out of it.

If it's that much of a strain on the servers, I can live with 25 items, though I miss not being able to put all of the candy on my tree like last year.

Is that also the reason why the trees aren't behind our avatars anymore?

I do NOT like this limit! It takes away from the fun and enjoyment of the holiday. I have done the same theme each year with my tree. Now I'm forced to use a lot fewer ornaments because of this. I am very upset.

Thank you for the limit. I hated whenever the page crashed and/or lagged while decorating. To those complaining about the limit: do you want a side order of lag/downtime now or later? :/

At least, we can still write funny things with our ornaments .. And I've found that 25 isn't so bad.

If it helps the insane lag that the tree causes and/or decorating the tree causes, I don't care.

Haha I have I think 8 ornaments on my tree and it was going so slowly I gave up in frustration. Again. I really wish the trees would be fixed - I haven't been able to use them once since they came out years ago because they just don't work. It's not like I have crappy internet or computer - both are quite excellent.

If having your tree cluttered is more important than a lagless site, please recheck your priorities.

I see the problem with the lagging ... I always save after seven or so ornaments and reload the page and it is ok for me this way ... a little bit sad, that I can not recreate my tree from last year ... I did spend a lot of money to get ten of each color last year ...

maybe there is a way to code it different ... like the wardrobe? I am not a programmer, but the principle seems the same?

(and I do not prefer the lagging ... I prefer a lot of ornaments without lagging )
