I've noticed it's much more difficult customizing some of the zapper skins, mostly because they don't fit into the regular body shapes and therefore look awful under every background. Would it be possible to take the extra bits and put them in a separate, non-item layer, like the hair layer? Even if just from the head alone.

This isn't limited to Zappers, the Lovebug, Stomach Butterflies, Brain Rot, and quite a few others [I can't think of the proper names for the first two, or the one that is a giant rose] share similar issues.

I don't think it would be fair to do that while other users have to suffer.

I'm not trying to suggest an inequality, I simply forgot about those. The same applies.

Really old Keith Quote:

<p>You are a zombie. This is your skin. You do not move your skin above your clothes

Really though, it might be time to re-evaluate this. I used to agree with Keith on that point, but more and more skins (both zapper skins and viruses) expand beyond the regular HA border, making them difficult to work with.

People are usually against making things easier, but being able to layer things behind these skins would make it easier to show off your non-human skin rather than hiding it, which I think is a good thing. Plus it would give human HAs new layering possibilities, which could be cool.

It's probably too late to break up older skins and viruses into separate layers, but making the entire HA base into a moveable layer could work.

As nice as this would be, I feel this would be making things far too easy. If you're a Zombie or you're Zapped, then that's just how it is. You either want a certain skin or you don't. There's no in-between.

I'm a rose zombie beneath all my layers and I have bits of leaves and roses that stick out when I don't have either vanishing cream or a background on, but I've learned to live with it. Or when I do have something in the background the leaves get covered up, but such is the life of being a zombie.

I had the spectrum skin and noticed that every time I put a background on it, the rainbow went away, would not show up. I thought it a shame since we like that skin because of the rainbow look, also if it stayed and at times we didn't want it, we could use whiteout. I have had the bird above but didn't keep it, had not noticed that it pretty much does the same thing.

I agree that there needs to be solution to this, for the background layer specifically. Other layers, like foreground, should cover parts of your HA, zombie, zapper skin, or regular skin.

I feel like that's true enough matching clothes with the skin color and texture as well as the faces though. It turns the equation to: If you're a Zombie or you're Zapped - You either wear backgrounds or you don't.

These skins are so beautiful... I know it would be alot of work for the staff but it would be so much more fun customizing a skin all year, rather than for a short time before you want to wear a background again.

I know, it is a pain. I just don't foresee staff doing anything about it. Which is, of course, unfortunate.

Then again, they have changed their minds before.

Yes, only for backgrounds, though.

I agree with this, but would suggest changing the idea slightly to this- make backgrounds able to ACTUALLY go beneath ALL items. Like, have an option where you set the background to go beneath anything and everything. Some people use backgrounds for layering, so I wouldn't want to prevent that... but idk.

Just something like: If you have the background as the bottom layer, when you go to save, a pop-up that asks "Do you want your BACKGROUND layer item(s) to go beneath ALL layers?" If you hit yes, it does (and allows skins to go over it). If you click no, it doesn't (and it will covers bits of skins and zombieness). But this should only pop-up if the background is the bottom most layer, since otherwise, it is clearly not meant to be the background to everything.

Just a slight adjustment to the idea, so people don't complain about the skin being a layer like hair and stuff (which I am against as well... skin shouldn't be layered over anything, but backgrounds shouldn't cover your skin unless you want them to).

It's not just hair either. I'd love to scroll a BG behind my zapper skin "layer", as the hooves turn into toe cutouts..but I'm not sure if it's really possible. Hell; they can't even get the skins to SHOW UP in wardrobes right now.

Subeta just always seems really tough-love about stuff like this. We'll just get told that we choose to have these skins and no one is forcing us to, so we just have to deal with it :P

So I guess my basic point is that I support this (or something similar) but realistically, I doubt it will happen

...and I'd totally go on a BG shopping-spree if they did this for us :D

I agree with , I support it for backgrounds only. The thing is, I'm not sure if that's possible coding-wise, I don't know anything about coding. Though it is super annoying that skins don't show over backgrounds, I actually bought CW claws when I had the nightmare skin because the claws I already had were hidden by backgrounds.

I have literally never understood the argument that "this is your skin blah, blahblah." Here in Subeta we're able to layer eyes and lips over anything, including hair. We can go from human to zombie to human to thing, all in a matter of seconds. We can have green skin, purple skin, white skin, black skin, and can change it every which way we want all within seconds. Zombies are an actual thing. Talking animals is an actual thing. Anthropomorphism is a thing. Harvesting multiple organs and having them grow back within a small time frame is a thing. But you're right, having the ability to not have our surroundings cut off sections of our skin is simple too unrealistic.

I just think anyone refusing a change like this is making things difficult for all the wrong reasons. It would make it easier to be a zombie or experiment, not to hide the fact that you are one.

Being able to layer things behind your skin would allow for some really cool effects (turning jackets into capes, or hiding a wig's bangs so you can layer a shorter wig over it, etc.) that would benefit everyone.

:P

Yeah, sticks out too far from the "normal" human body. Aww thanks c: I had to work on it blindly since skins are broken in the wardrobe, but I think it came together pretty nicely anyways x)
