Plot:

A group of kids have recently found out that they have special powers. In doing research, they have each on their own found that they are called "Gifted" and not understood by society. In an effort to protect the children, each parent has sent off an application to be enrolled in a special school. Only those that are gifted are accepted into this Academy and each when the Instructers believe they are ready.

OOC: Instead of doing the name, power, and description can we just do an introductory paragraph?

Hunter slowly walked out to the mailbox as the chill of the air made him shiver. He opened the box and smiled as the message he had been waiting for came out with the junkmail that his parents hadn't gotten rid of. He jumped excitedly and ran inside the old three-story house. Some would say it was a mansion - especially with all the work his dad had put into remodeling it. "Mom, dad, It came!" He stumbled into the oversized living-room, holding up the paper in his hand. He watched them closely, noting the fact that neither were as excited as him. "That's great, Hunter." His mom smiled politely. "I knew you would be accepted."

Arriana sighed and rolled out of bed. She had the worst headache imaginable. She started as her mom came into the room.

"So, how you feeling?" Arriana's mom asked.

"Terrible and I do not know why. I'm almost never sick." Arriana frowned.

"Maybe you could use a walk through the woods in the backyard. That always seems to help you out." Her mom smiled and backed out of the doorway. "I'll go make you some sandwiches."

"Thanks mom!" Arriana said as she stood up and got dressed. She had always felt particularly fond of the woods out back. Her family just happened to live on the outskirts of town really close to a dense patch of woods. Arriana loved taking long walks and speaking to the animals, not that they spoke back. "I wish...." Arriana muttered. She had never been popular in school. Her bright blue eyes were too intelligent and clashed with her auburn hair. In a school of perfectly groomed and preppy girls, her southern ways automatically made her an outcast.

Hunter's arms dropped and his expression saddened, his parents were never proud of him - in fact he was pretty sure that they wanted him gone. He looked at both with a smile. "Alright, I just wanted to let you know before I pack." He spun on his heels and gloomily made his way up the stairs. They never really cared about anyone after his older brother went missing eight years ago, he was only a mere reminder of him. Especially since he looked exactly like him. He had the same dark-brown hair and stunning green eyes - even his silly grin was the same. Hunter remembered how everyone thought that he and his brother were twins, and now looking at the broken picture frame that hung in the hall, he realized he did look exactly like him - and still does. At least he would be able to control his powers so that he couldn't scare his parents anymore - the floating objects in the rooms always creeped them out.

Arriana quickly dressed in her brown hiking boots, blue jeans, and dark green top. She also made sure to grab her green hoodie. Arriana quickly put on her belt wich held several loops meant for pouch attatchments. She grabbed a pouch of candied nuts off of her dresser and quickly attatched the pouch to her belt. Happily, she ran downstairs and ate some toast so that she could take some meds for her headache. Her mom handed her a pouch filled with some of her and the woodland animals' favorite foods. "Thanks mom." She said as she kissed her mom's cheek. "Lov ya!" she shouted as she headed out the back door.

Professor Franco fumbled through the stacks of books laid out on his desk in front of him. Being majorly sleep deprived he could barely concentrate to store any more information.

For years he had used his power of instant, infinite information storage to gain top spot as professor of only the most prestigious universities, but recently a new venue intrigued him much more. He had heard tell of an idea to build a school for people with abilities such as his; which for him, teaching at such a school meant not only did he get the privilege to teach the next mutation of the human race, but he could gain knowledge of every power, every inner working of the new human mutation, and possibly become even more powerful himself through using such knowledge combined with his vast knowledge of every science in the ancient and modern field.

Reminded of his ambition, Mr. Franco drank some coffee and continued the vigorous research on mutation and genes, as well as how to get connected with this new community.

Hunter grabbed some clothes and in his bizarre and messy form of organization, stuffed them inside an old suitcase. He closed his eyes and thought of all the essentials he needed, attempting to move them into the suitcase without lifting a finger. Hunter's concentration broke as he heard his dad talking to their next-door neighbor again. Gasping in horror at the falling breakables and liquids, he scrambled across the room- trying to catch them before they shattered or spilt.

Arriana ran out past the old barn frowning as she thought of her long-dead pony. She had asked her mom for a horse a few years ago but she knew they didn't have the money for it and the feed and training of a green one. Training a green horse took a lot of money. Arriana had been working for the past year or so in the stables of the Miller family who seemed to own much of the town and was the richest family. She sighed and jogged out a few yards into the woods. She had long ago found a stump and had dragged it into a small clearing.

Dr. Amanda Rines was more ecstatic then ever; amongst a very large campus, her and several other teachers, doctors and professors were today setting up a school that would forever change the world of the gifted. As a healer, she felt it her responsibility to mold and "heal" the young minds of the students as well as physically heal them as the school physician. Amanda was a light hearted kind woman, she only served others thinking little of herself; and now in her 50's, she figured it was time to join the activists involved in teaching the gifted young students of the world.
