The Olson family has always been your average, well off family. They weren't rich, but they were definitely not poor. Four years ago this started to change. At Christmas time the kids noticed changes. They didn't have as many gifts as usual, they didn't have a huge feast like always, and their parents just didn't seem happy. The night after Christmas the parents call the older children down to the family room, explaining that money was getting tight. The kids understood.
A month later and the family has lost their large home. The parents rent a cabin up in the mountains that only has four bedrooms. Two for the girls and Two for the boys. The parents sleep in the living room on a pull out couch. The kids start attending school a couple miles away. Their ipods, cell phones, and computers were all sold so they could actually have some food and heat for the winter.
Things can't get much worse right? Wrong, their mother gets fired from her job due to budget cuts and not only that, but something is different with her. She is getting sick a lot, more moody, and more tired. The kids here their mother and father fighting at night while they are all tucked into bed. A few nights later and their mother tells them that she is pregnant. With the new baby coming their father starts working two jobs.
Food is low, space is tight, its overly hot, but too dangerous to go outside. The kids start acting out. Their mother is stressed out enough so they don't want to upset her, their father has practically become nonexistent due to the long hours of work, and they can't turn to each other because everyone is just upset and stressed.
A year or so passes and things are not good at all for the family. When they thought things couldn't get worse their mother gets all call from their grandparents. She decides she must leave to go see her sick mother, but on the way home there was an accident. The roads were icy and she swerved, hitting a semi-truck which killed her. One of the older siblings takes care of the youngest the best they can.
The kids now act out more than ever. They get into bad things and are horrible to each other and other people. Their father has no control over them, especially since he is never around still. After a while he decides to send them to live with their mother's youngest brother who owns a large farm. He has a family of his own, but welcomes the kids to come.
Their uncle is strict about everything. They have chores to do now, harsh groundings and other punishments if you don't do as your told. Everyone is expected to help everyone, you are expected to go to school everyday. You aren't aloud to mouth off or talk back. The Michaels kids (cousins) are all well behaved and follow the rules. They are their to make sure their cousins follow the rules as well. What will happen to the two families? Will the Michaels kids become bad like their Olson cousins or will it be the other way around? Or maybe both?
Setting: It's 4am at the Michaels family farm and time to start chores. It is Monday, April 8, the morning after the Michaels family has arrived. It's going to be partly cloudy today with a high of 65 degrees. There is a slight breeze coming from the northwest that is expected to pick up later in the day.
The Olson's farm is large and surrounded by large hills and fields on both sides. There is a field outback and the other side leads to a forest. They have all sorts of animals, cows, horses, sheep, chickens and they grew all their own food. All the animals have different barns and pastures. The farm house is a large two story one with good sized bedrooms. Their are two kids to a room and some of the younger kids go three to a room. They have a swing set and a large tree house to play in when they aren't working and studying.

If you were to look for Patrick Xavier Michaels in his bedroom then you wouldn't find him. Unlike most seventeen year olds, he was not sound asleep in his nice, soft bed at four in the morning. No, he was already hard at work for the day. At the moment he was in the horse barn, adding new and clean hay to the horses stalls along with getting them fresh water. "Good morning Shiloh." he greeted with a very cheery voice. A large male horse, with a white coat that had brown spots scattered around, let out a greeting back. Patrick's hazel eyes examined the horse, making sure everything was alright before he started to fill the bucket with cold water. "Now Shiloh, my cousins start work today and you got to tell me if one of them hurt you. I don't trust them damn city kids." he spoke to the horse as if he was speaking to a human. The horse gave a response that made Patrick smile. "That's my boy. Now, I should be heading back to the house." he said, patting the horse before he left the barn.
Patrick picked up the basket of eggs that he had set by the barn door and then he slowly made his way back to the house. He really wasn't looking forward to today, truly he was worried about having his cousins around, but then again if they were to actually work, it would mean more free time for him. 'Yeah. Like they will actually work.' he thought to himself, a small smile appearing on his face as he thought about them working. As he ran his free hand through is brown hair he gave a sigh, pulling out a few pieces of hay. 'Take a shower before breakfast.' he made a mental note like he often did.
Once he made it back to the house he opened the door and he didn't even bother being quiet when he closed it. Everyone was supposed to be getting up now anyway. Patrick set the eggs on the counter so that whoever was making breakfast this morning could use them and then he headed up to his bedroom. "I hope everyone is up!" he yelled as he walked down the hall and then into his bedroom. His bedroom was very clean and organized. He grabbed a pair of jeans from his dresser and then a light blue tee shirt from his closet and then he went into the bathroom.
After a fast shower he got out and got dressed. Once dressed he brushed his teeth and spiked up his hair so his blonde tips were now showing. Once he was finished getting ready for the day he headed back downstairs and into the kitchen. Their kitchen was large with a lot of counter space. He hoped someone remembered to get milk this morning for breakfast cause he didn't do it. Shrugging off the thought he started making his lunch for the day. The family couldn't give each kid lunch money everyday, especially with the cousins here so they had to pack. D
outofcheese; Riddy's here, but she has no clue who to join as D: I suppose I shall ponder this?
ooc: Just let me know when you are ready Riddy. =)
That sounds good Natt.
ooc; 'Aight. I'm torn between Jasper, Ezekiel, and Darren. Possibly Trevor, since we have no limits and I'm allowed to describe his use of weed without the possiblilty of being chain-iced :< -rubs nose-
ooc: Well Trevor would be really good if he were one of the Olson kids... I don't know.
ooc; He would work well, wouldn't he? But then again, so would Zeke! -ponders- Darren is too much of a good boy. He'd be a total Micheals. An irritated, pain-induced Micheals.
Trevor and Zeke are total Olsens; seeing as how Trev's a druggie and Zeke's a pyro.
I don't know where Jasper'd fit in. xD He's a good boy but he's also a druggie. 0.o HYBRID.
ooc: I don't know what to tell you Riddy. I like them all.
We would love to have you role play with us!
ooc; I've decided upon someone! C: He's a great great great Micheals, I just know it. Which is weird. Because his last name I gave /is/ Micheals. xDDD
bic; Your name/nickname: Miss Riddy Finkledooblefitz Cx But you can call me Riddy. Character's name: Miles Oliver Micheals. Family they belong to: Micheals, obviously. Nicknames: Miles or Miley works fine. Ollie is also optional. Age: Seventeen years young bby<3 Gender: Male. Looks: Messes with long black hair that falls in his eyes, enough to cause frustration. Sees through hazel eyes. Stands at five foot nine. MILESSSS C: Anything else I should know: Miles is autistic. He does know how to talk, but prefers to sign. Due to this, Miles has a problem with perfectionism. He does have a caretaker (which I will allow if Lems lets me,) that helps with schoolwork and such. He's also incredibly shy, and hates to talk around stangers. He hates if things are changed without his permission.
ooc:YAY more people :3 can`t wait til we start RPing ^_^
ooc: I will allow that Riddy! That is funny that his last name is Michaels and he is perfect for the family.
ooc; Found a pic C: It's up thar. Also added some more 'need-to-know' stuff.
ooc: We can start anytime and just let people join in. I think I am going to throw in a city girl.
ooc; City girls in these kind of rps are made of pure winsauce, Lems. I have to find a way to set Miles into this. xD With my Miles-reserved starting line; 'The prim and precise room of the seventeen year old boy was one extremely out of place.' All of his intros start with 'the prim and precise room'. xD
Character's name: Kimberly Anna Olson Family they belong to: Olson Nicknames: Kim, Kimmy Age: 15 Gender: Female Looks: Kimmy Anything else I should know: Kimberly really hates taking orders. She does what she wants, when she wants. She can be very sarcastic and she enjoys teasing people, most of the time causing hurt feelings.
ooc Kimberly is perfect for this though! She doesn't really whine though, just talks back and won't do what you want her to do.
ooc: i just edited the anything else thing. he is now color-blind ^_^ so when shall I post my intro?
ooc: You can post your intro whenever you are ready.
A groan escaped the fifteen year old girl as Patrick's voice rang through the upstairs. This girl was Kimberly Anna Olson, one of those cousins Patrick was annoyed with. 'Don't these people have any manners for sleeping people? Seriously, what time was it anyway. The girl emerged from under the blankets, her blue green eyes opened to narrow slits as she looked at the clock. She had to blink a few times to be sure she read it right. It was four? Four in the morning for that matter. Giving a roll of her eyes she rolled over, soon falling back asleep.
About five minutes later the alarm started to go off and Kimberly shot up. "What the hell?" she muttered, turning the alarm off. After laying there awake for a while she decided it would be best to get up. She threw the covers off herself and then slowly stood up. First she went into the bathroom and put her light brown, curly hair up into a loose bun, her bangs to the side a bit. Then she just wandered downstairs. "What's for breakfast?" she asked sleepily, sitting at the table.
Patrick looked over, giving a slight roll of his eyes. "Don't know, no one has made anything yet." he answered, "Not that it matters. You don't get breakfast till you do the morning chores." he said, putting the jar of peanut butter away as he finished making his lunch. Kim stared at him. "What are chores?" she asked, tilting her head to the side. Patrick raised his eyebrow. 'This girl was playing dumb, there was no way she was that dumb. No, you can tell by that smirk she is playing dumb.' he said in his head. "Well your chore is to check on the second chicken coop. Make sure they are all there and collect the eggs. Also make sure they are fed and have water." he explained. Kim rolled her eyes. "Not going to happen." she said, putting her feet up on the table as she leaned back in the chair. Patrick frowned, swatting her feet down. "People eat here you know." D
OoC: I would like to join as a stable hand. A friend of the Michael’s.

She lives with her abusive father. The Michael’s don’t know about her father abusing her or they would have taken her in by now. Her friends call her Strawberry because she was riding one of the Michael’s horses and fell off into a bush of berries while wearing one of the boy’s straw hat. Thus Strawberry.
