What does it mean to "Ping" someone, and how would one go about doing so? Thanks~

You put a @ before the users name and it pings them. It alerts them to the forum you pinged them at. Some characters don't work, like periods at the end of a user's name.

^ It means to do that.

Basically you put an '@' in front of someone's username and they get a notification telling them they've been mentioned on such-and-such a board. It doesn't work for some people with special characters in their UN though.
