It looks sweet and innocent, to me, and I like it. There was a baby miniature horse who was born on our property. For some reason, it reminds me of her.

the old one has more personality....also the new one looks like its a boy...and it should look uni-sex. maybe a bit longer mane? more curvy and cute. chillykitten did a good job adjusting.

I like it, its cute, but the mane/shading/back legs/tail bother me.

The mane looks.. More like yarn to me, I thought the hikei had the zebras flat mane?

The shading.. I see pretty much none of it =/ There are plenty of shadows, but where are the highlights? I see one awkward one across the back, but thats it.. No definition across the body! [I dont like the trips either ^^']

The back leg.. there isnt much definition to it, whcih could be fixed with a few shadows in the hip/rump area.

And the tail! Its so tiny and smooshed now.. I always liked how it was spaced apart, and easy to tell where one starts and the other ends.

I like the new one more than the old one, but something seems a bit weird about it.

I was looking at Zohkaro's suggestions and it seems it would look better that way.

There doesn't seem to be enough shading in the revamped pose. The grey undertone really makes it appear more dull.

Lol, I have a bit more to add... I think the jawbone is too wide. It should be in a little more, because it looks kind of odd. I also don't like how the digits on the back legs' paws are blue, I preferred them white and clawed. The tails, I think, should be more open, like able to uncurl, and longer. And Kazeriu, your Hikeis are very cute. x3 I like Tiges the most.

The old one is cute. But, like the Irion, I think it needs to be majorly revamped. Something more like a Legecia, maybe? I'm going on about this from what I'd like, though. I think the Hikei should be taller, and I also agree with many of the suggested provided by Xiria.

And I never thought the Hikei was an elegant horse. I thought it was a cute horse... Well, zebra actually. I guess I can sort of see the donkey in it now that you mention it, but it still looks like a horse to me. I don't know, maybe it's a mule? Or perhaps it is a zonkey. (Just like mules are horse/donkey hybrids, zonkeys are zebra/donkey hybrids. I SWEAR THEY'RE REAL. xD) But Hikeis always reminded me of hippogriffs, what with the back legs being different from the front legs, even though they don't have bird parts like hippogriffs. Luxe, what are the back legs based on? You specified that the Hikei is donkey-like, but I was wondering what animal the paws come from. A dog, maybe?

I like this better than the past revamp that was suggested a long time ago, that's for sure. I actually had to consider VERY carefully which one to vote for, because I like both the old and this one about equally... In the end I chose new because this pet would be nice with a revamp, and I'm sure that the artist will work to improve on things the users suggest... Right? I'd like the tails to be a bit larger to make more room for the orbs, and I'd like the orbs to glow more, I'd like the mane to be more like a mohawk like the old one, I'd like it to be whiter and I'd like the stripes to be more visible, the hooves look a little too shiny to be realistic, and... Uh, the lack of black lineart in the spot on the one cheek just below the stripes bugs me. Other than that, it's pretty cute. What I'd really like to see is something more like Zohkaro's redline. (That hair on the redline is PERECT.)

I think a longer mane fixes what I see wrong here.. something about the middle of the head, the eye is drawn to that area... the longer mane seems to fix that..

I sortof prefer the old one, but i like the way that this one doesnt look like an SD animal how the old one did...it just seemed to bubbly and balloonish while i understand the intention is for it to be chubby it just seemed odd.

This one seems fine it just needs a bit of refinement

For those of you comparing the hikei to a donkey, you are correct. the hikei has never been an elegant horse, but has always had stronger resemblance to a chubby, clunky donkey. If you see a donkey when looking at the hikei, that is entirely intentional.

And I hate it when people don't get it when revamps are polled. o_O If the Artist didn't want to improve anything, then ... well they would just make it the revamp and thats' that. Like the dragon revamp. Polls are to see who likes what and what could improve something. If you don't like it, go back to Neopets. There you have no say on what you like and don't like.

Thanks, guys. ^^ And by all means my intention isn't to bug the staff, only to give them opinions they can consider.
I didn't just work on the mane, I also tweaked the spine and dulled down the shine of the hooves. Oh, and disregard the black eyes, hehe. I was experimenting and forgot to undo. ^^;

I would prefer that the back toes be kept white. The front legs also look a bit too chunky. I like what Zohkaro has suggested in the redline. I also think that the floating orbs should be a bit bigger. The shading is also not very noticable.

Y'know I'm sick of all of you people that can't just take something and leave it alone. NOOOO, you have to complain, and demand WORLD IZ GUNNA END OMGNOES! Seriously, just say which one you like, and leave it at that. If you don't like something, OH WELL! Just deal with it. Zohkaro's body redline is awesome. -really- awesome.

ChillyKitten, your mane change is also freaking awesome. Combined, those two changes would be a hefty improvement by far.

I like it a lot, the only things that really bother me is that it looks kinda squished... I like the redline done by Zohkaro. Also, I think it's stripes should be a little more apparent and I don't like the blue toes... I think they should still be the color of the fur. Other than that, I think it's a massive improvement.

Appletail: The porpose of revamp POLLS are so everyone can say what they dislike and what is mostly commented on, the artist can change. We're not being mean and rude, we are giving constructive critisisum. If people were bashing it (which they are not) THAT would be mean and rude.

Just a quick redline. I hope it helps, even just a little. I'm not the best at horse anatomy, I feail at it, really.

The joints in the leg look too large, atleast with legs with that thickness. The back/bum was too high, making it look fat. Tails could be larger. Mane could look like hair, also more mohawky.

But, thats nothing all too different from what the rest are saying.

shakes head I had to vote old, sorry. Something about the head makes the neck seem... nonexistent or very stunted? I really... really dislike the mane. really dislike it. In fact, I downright hate it. The traditional 'Trojan horse' mane is by far more appealing. It seems like it was changed just for the fuck of a change... and it didn't need to be done. The front legs look a lot shorter than the back and a lot wobblier too. And the tail could be a little bigger. (and the hooves are a little too shiny as well... like colored glass hooves)

What I do like is the bright colors of the blue hues. The eyes are so alive, I love that. The color scheme is all win, the rest needs to go back to the drawing board.

Kay. I've been fooling around on my crappy PSP6 and came up with the adjustments I was talking about in my earlier posts. I hope you guys don't mind, but it might put some better light on what I meant about everything.
I just added curve on the back to give it a slimmer look, moved the tail down while adding more glow to the orbs, and giving the hair a more classic look. I'm not saying it's perfect, nor am I asking you to change anything in your new revamp to look more like mine. I just hope the visual helps explain my opinions a little better than my words have. =3
