I agree that the tail needs to be puffier... I'll try and give a bit of a depiction of what i mean in a moment. Another thing I noticed is it's legs seem a bit too thin to support that body (I think) and the paws seem to small. Other than the tail I adore it.

I really tried to make this constructive. In my mind it is but I don't crit things.. like ever... so I'm sorry if it looks not constructive. -hopes the artist sees this-

It is cute but when I first saw it, I thought it was a chibi terracoon.

I must just not like Terracoons. ;D The body looks a bit short, and the pose is kind of dull.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

Aw, it's so cute. c: One thing I would change is the eye size. It makes it look a little more creepy than playful like the old one. It does have a racoon sort of body but I think that it could be a tad more slim near the hind legs to make it look less short.

The tail looks limp and broken. Maybe make it s=waving in the air? Kind of like a cat...because it just looks weird, the end kinda just goes limp. Maybe it could be a bit longer, curled around the back leg? The eyes are spaced out, and they're small. Plus, they look dead to me. Maybe it's just me...

I lovelovelove this version. Just a few things I don't think it would hurt to mention. The tail, as many others have mentioned, could use a bit of fluffing up. And the body seems a bit... chubby. Don't get me wrong, I love chubby. But I think it's a bit /too/ chubby. If that makes sense? But other than that it's simply ADORABLE. Not kidding. I'm in love with it.

The new one is a by far better look but in the revamp, it lost personality. If you look at the old one it has a...spunk to it. In the new one, it looks friendly, but not as spunky.

I think the tail is wrong somehow. Maybe it can be fluffier, or in a different position?

Overall, I think the revamp is very wonderful and I applaud it. Cheers.

Hm, well I do like this, but I think the tail should be a little longer and maybe fluffier somehow?

Overall, it is an improvement. =] I didnt like the old terracoon.

Woah.
There's only a few things I don't like.
It's a bit too realistic.
I wish you guys would stick with the cartoony like look still,
Because I believe it has more 'life' in it and originality.

The tail seems a bit off also,
It looks like there was too much shading put in to it,
And makes it stand out.

But what I do like is that the pose makes more sense than the old one.
The shape is even,
and the body doesn't look way bigger than the head like the old one.
[In the old one,
the front legs were longer than the back ones
and the got longer towards the front.

Its so cute. I think the head could be a bit smaller, and it look too short. The tail, body and legs could be longer. Aside from that, it look great. :)

I chose the old one. The new look seems too short, with the legs being stubby and all, and I think the length of the whole pet, the legs/shoulders/hips, and the stomach make it look.. fat. ^^; The face looks odd to me, not anything like the newer subeta-style.. I think it might just be the eyes, though, because the rest of the face, I think, is adorable. The pose isn't very eye-catching.. and the tail looks too small to me.. and in the wrong place. But besides that, I love how it's raccoon-striped Too far down between it's legs.. I also don't really like how the chest fur sort of goes over the shoulder, but that's not that big of anything. xD It's just me being nit-picky. I do like, however, how there are no more black lines around the dark brown markings.. it looks more natural like fur instead of a mask and glued-on stripes. It's very nicely drawn, colored, and shaded.. but just not exactly what I, personally, would prefer of the Terracoon.. ^^; All this is just my opinion, of course.. -rambleramble-

Also the ears are too big and rounded at the bottom. They should be shorter and set upon the head. Not on the sides. I do like the colors and the eyes.

Eh, I dont like it, It looks evil, the top of the head looks weird for some reason Probibly because the 'mask' on its face goes down too low. Other than that, It looks okay.

Some constructive criticism: The neck needs to be longer, and the body skinnier, and the legs just a tad longer. And maybe in a more interesting position than just standing their so stiffly. =3

As a few people have already said, I think it should be a little skinnier, a little longer, and the tail could be fluffier. Besides that, nice job to the artist! Looks a lot cuter than the original!

Okay.. What the heck!? I dont like this one.. it freaks me out o_O They need to revamp the Malticorn.. Malticorns desperately needs it

I like how it looks more organic, but the ONLY problem for me is the eyes-- They look too.. real for my taste. Don't like how far they're spread apart, either. I liked the cartoonier eyes on the older ones, since it made them look much livelier. Plus I think the tail should be larger and fluffier. But aside from both those complaints, I think the colouring is lovely.

I think it's adorable. :3 Prolly one of my favorite pet revamps. n___n Great job to whoever drew it!

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

The tail should be a little fluffier and longer, and the body seems a little too pug-like(the back needs to be lowered a little, it's just too thick), but it is immensely better than the old version. I love it!

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Diana_Marie

Raccoons in general do not like Daschunds. The legs need to be skinner and shorter in the front. There is no neck and the hair on the back that leads to the tail doesn't match the tail. It is too bushy looking compared to the tails detail. I would either shorten the hair on the razor part or the fur length on the tail.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

The eyes are too small, the tail looks like it was an after-thought and the poor thing seems obese. I understand that it's trying to be similar to its base animal of a raccoon, but this redraw shares none of the cute characteristics of its forefather. Otherwise, the color and shading are good.

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

It's cute but I would like to see less of an evil look in it's eyes, just a teeeny bit softer. That's just my opinion. Nice work!

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

I knew theyd be next to get a revamp! ^^ I still think they're too much like Pherrets thoguh. T_T

I like its chubbiness but the body seems a tad too thick and the legs seem a bit to short, the back leg seems to be throwing me off for some reason and the tail should be fluffier/bigger? other than that I love eet 8D

Maybe make the legs a bit more flexible looking. But considering that its a cross between a weasel and a raccoon the tail is about fine. I love the way it looks, I was to squish it.

The brown on the tail is darker than the stripes on the body... and I think the legs are pretty small... Oh, lastly... the fluffiness on the back could do without the black line on the bottom... kinda makes it look like spikes. But the head is adorable and I like the dull blurry colors.

looks again Yep, it's still the cutest thing I've seen lately. It completely keeps the spirit and personality of the old pet but it improves the art by about a billion. Squared. Absolutely adorable.

Oh wow, I find this simply gorgeous, way cuter than the other Terracoon revamp. But this pet has always reminded me of the Ferret, wich I personally like better. Maybe you should make the Terracoon's tail shorter, like a bulldog, because it looks like one.

I like the tail, legs, and all the fluff apart from the fur on the chest - the way it goes it so many different directions looks a little awkward.. I think it might look better if the fur were to point downward and follow the slope of the neck going into the chest and stomach.
I also think it's cute being round.. but it looks just a tad too thick. Even just trimming it down as far as the area where the darkest shading on its back starts would be a big improvement.
Last, but probably the thing that sticks out the most to me is the eyes.. I think it would look loads better without the eyelids and maybe with the eyes being a little brighter. Right now its expression looks torn between being cute and being ready to kill you. ^^;;
With just a few small changes, I think this could be a really awesome revamp.. but for now I have to vote old.

It's cute! I love the face in general, including the smile, though the eyes look a little strange (probably because the outline is barely visible) and a little too small. (I'm starting to like that "cunning" expression though.)

I agree with the others who have stated that it needs a bushier (and/or longer) tail. I also think that it seems a little too "chunky" for a raccoon-type pet. (It reminds me more of my friend's fat but adorable Welsh Corgi than a raccoon.) I would suggest making the body thinner (and possibly slightly longer). The legs and feet look nice.

My only other complaint is that the fur across the back seems "out of place." I'm not quite sure how to describe it, but it appears to be resting "on top" of the back instead of actually growing out of it. Perhaps it would look more natural if a few tufts of fur were seen lying "over" the back (like a few loose strands of cream fur falling over the stripes; sorry, I'm not quite sure how to describe it).

December 31, 1969, 7:00 pm by Deleted User

I don't know . . . The overall art on it is better, yes, but I think the body looks much too thick for it, and as other people have said the tail could stand to be fluffier.

Personally, I LOVE that it doesn't have a neck, but that's MO. A bit more of a tail is my only complaint again.

I wanted to add that I especially like how chubby it is, and the open mouth, perfect!

Like many people have said, a puffier tail would be nice. The coloring seems a bit blurred, and I think it could use a little more neck.

Other than that, though, it's great compared to the old one. ;3

I love the detail and shading work put into the new one but it seems almost too solid/compact And stiff... The older one seemed more mischevious like a real raccoon.... The legs and chest bring to mind a bulldog.... But I do love the detail put into the tail... It looks way more realistic!! Very good job done by both artists... But maybe mixing the two together could create an amazing version!!!
