mm... I like it, but I'd like to see what improvements can be made on the tail. It looks too odd as is, looks a bit stubby at the moment, out of proportion with the head. Other than that, nice job.

FIX THE TAIL! i've hated most of the revamps, but i'm seeing a pattern so i guess i'll just have to get used to the new look, but that tail does not fit that body. make it longer at least so it doesn't look so stunted, and it'll work. i don't like it, but it will look better at least

Trucker: I have the right to state an opinion and try to help potential artists learn and improve (especially when they ASK for criticism). And you don't know whether I planned to own a Terracoon or not, so I suggest you be more careful of what you assume. I'd also suggest not putting words into people's mouths - I said nothing about making it a real raccoon. As others have said, correct anatomy simply makes art more believable, pleasing to the eye, and indicative of an artist's true proficiency and knowledge of their subjects. It's something that every artist who draws animals, real or fantasy, should have an understanding of anyway.

It don't look much like the old Terracoon, I like the new one but, the tail now has strips, looks more short, and, well, like I said not like the old Terracoon we all know.

Needs to be slightly skinner, and the tail fixed. Other than that it's cute. :3

I like the shading......But.....x3 The legs are too fat, the tail seems less fluffing and a little too short, the expression on it's face is really....Um.....I don't know how to describe it...Like those things that are supposed to be cute but end up really creapy. And then it just seems overweight.

It's wonderful. ;D Looks a lot better. A LOT better. Shading, anatomy, etc. The tail needs to be fixed though, but that's been stated a million times already. xD

And Haunty and Tilla, you're comments do not help. Not all pets are going to be cute, so get over it.

@ whoever said that anatomy doesn't matter. Of course the anatomy has to make sense. Unless you picture the Terracoon as a crippled, misshapen creature that can't possibly walk, with a box for its ribcage and a taped on fake tail. In that case a more depressed expression would be in order.

Trucker: If that is the excuse for someone not to be critiqued is merely the fact that they are not real, well, these artists won't be getting any better, would they? Unless of course they draw seriously ALL the time. Rah, however, doesn't strike to me as a person that has that much free time. But, tell me, which is better: stick figure made of noodles or a picture of an animal with good anatomy, looks relatively like a real animal and alive yet still unique and cartoony?

I think the tail stripes are outlined because they're not stripes, but layers of fur.

It's very cute, but I agree that making the tail more lively and elongating its body more would make it look like the original, which I think is what many people want. It does look better in my opinion, though, but I think most would prefer that the artists make the new redraws look more similar to the old pets in the future. It would stop a lot of complaints. Like I said, It's still a step in the right direction.

I really don't like it. The shading a colors are obiously great, but the shape of the head, tail, and legs makes it seem kinda well, tubby. So basically: Yes to shading. No to lines.

I'm sorry, but the only reason I would ever prefer the new Terracoon over the old one is because of the superior coloring/shading. I think it'd be much better with a longer, slimmer body and ears shaped more along the lines of the old version.

But as long as you don't re-do the chibi Terracoon, you won't hear a complaint out of me if this version ends up going through.

How about this then... there could be an Original Potion or something to give the pets the "old" look... or something like that... because I think the new ones are fine... there always will be an error with EVERY single piece of art....

I do find the new one cute, but I really believe it looks too..."real world". I think the tail should by far look much fluffier, it looks a bit limp and ragged right now in my opinion. And I think the face should look a little cuter and chibier like the original, and the head should be a bit more...foward. It looks a little like the coon is holding its head back to me. But I really like the basic look it has now and I think it's a great improvement!

I don't think it has to look exactly like a raccoon, no way--but I definitely think it should have plausible anatomy. It's just more pleasing to the eye and makes the creature seem lifelike; like something you can imagine owning IRL. Y'know? (:

That being said, I think there are a lot of problems with its body. Becky addressed them already. Its face is quite cute. I love the eyes.

I don't like it...the old one's better. The tail is terrible; small and not poofy like it should be. I just love the old one, and hope that there will be another revamp choice to X this one out!

My, is it cute! I think it has more of the chibi look that most of the remakes have. I think that the tail is too short and flat, and the body could be a little longer. Otherwise, I think it's perfect!

I think it is adoreable, I agree the tail cold be a little poofier, but that is just my two cents. I do not know much about perspective or anything like that, but for a cartoon pet it's cute

I'm not too fond of the new design. The way it's colored is much better for the most part, but the tail looks somewhat limp, as if it's a piece of faux fur that was tacked onto the backside of the creature. Also, the body itself seems kind of stiff, like a stuffed animal filled with Styrofoam stuffing that you get from a carnival game. The design of the old one is definitely more lively and energetic and reminds me more of a burrowing raccoon-like creature like the species' name suggests (tera=earth, coon from raccoon). I don't own a terracoon myself, but I definitely like the liveliness of the current design much better.

Angelembryo; My god, what gives you the right to address the artist who drew this in such a way? First off- It is a SUBETA pet, not a real raccoon, so real-life animal anatomy is not particularly necessary, 2ndly, if you do not currently, or plan to, own a terracoon than you shouldn't even be worrying about this matter as it has nothing to do with you.

I for one think this new re-draw is amazingly adorable, the only reason Im voting for th old one is because I would love to see what the artist (Rah, am I right?) could do with the tail.

The coloring and shading is a lot better, but I have to agree with Fractured. The tail is...odd looking. It just seems so small compared to the rest of it's body. Can't it be a little poofier? As for the fatness, raccoons are suppose to be fat! :O

the new one is cute an all... but in all honesty I like the older one better. The new one just seems too chibi due to the body size and length. The older one's body was pretty much find and not... well chubby. And why was the tail changed ? I liked the tail from the older T-T

CUTE!!! Ya... the tail needs to be up... and fluffier... if it were in the same pose as the original with mouth open.... then I think it would be REALLY cute! otherwise... great shading and coloring!

I'm sorry, but I pretty much agree with what angelembryo said (don't know about Rah's OTHER pets though). I don't own a Terracoon and don't plan to, but this revamp just isn't good. The body is -rectangular-. That combined flat soles and heavy, stiff legs really does make it like a cardboard cutout. Why are the stripes on the tail outlined while ones on its body are not? The face could also use tweaking.. Or more face. If you know what I mean.

It's cute, but it looks like it should be the Chibi Terracoon instead of the regular. The tail needs to be larger and fluffier, and the body needs to be a litle longer. And like Leu said, "the face could be more spread out."
