SURVIVAL: kisses breaking everything

I know, I know. It’s not a Subeta holiday unless something breaks or the site lags. It wasn’t our intention to have literally everything die on us at once, but hey. It happens?

A little background information for those just tuning in for Survival. There was an issue where if you kissed someone, your strain (vial or whatever you chose from VIP) disappeared! :( got a fix for it done so fast, you wouldn’t believe, but the site just wouldn’t take it. No matter how many times we redeployed, the site just refused. I’ve worked with and and finally, four hours later, the site itself should be running smoothly now. It’s only taken our blood, sweat, and tears, but it’s worth it for y’all to bite and kiss each other to become zombies and eat candy.

If you purchased a strain earlier and had it removed due to a kiss, file a ticket! UA’s will reimburse you. <3

We're still looking/working into everything else going on, but wanted to update you a bit!

, I had to cancel my request and just ended up paying 25,000 for a guaranteed new strain when I saw that I hadn't actually been infected this morning.

I'm starting to give up on my schedule and my plans......I'll wait abit longer as for all I know the new strains could still break, hence why I allways start with a old one but I'm thinking I may not get any new skins this year. This glitch has made this a no win scenario.

On the forums yesterday it says I was infected, but gunner says I still have to wait... is there another way to see if I'm infected..? I'm already losing time u_u

I’m having issues and no one is helping.. Almost 24 hours with disappeared HA and 8+ unanswered forum. Forever waiting in line for new selected virus and still have a while to wait he says... by the time I finally get a virus or see my HA the event is going to be way in second or third stage of this... I’m so saddened...

lol what i cancelled and re-purchased a 2018 strain last night and now what, 16 hours later and "you've still got some time to wait uwu" are you sure gunner. are you sure. do you even have the strains you're selling.

I'm sad to say that the preview in either the healer or the wardrobe doesn't work so far. I've had my vialstrain for more that 8 hours now and nothing shows. Therefore, unless I'm mistaken and hopefully I am, there is a problem with the preview of the strains. I really hope that it doesn't mean that the site sees us as infected where in reality we are not. It is pretty worrying since the vials costs money that we can't get back.

At admins: I know you guys are really working hard to fix this and I applaud you for that. On the downside, I still wonder how this could have happened if you have tested it before pushing the update. This is major. I really hope that you will extend drastically this event to make up for the time we are losing. A lot of us are part of a group that offers bites and the backlog of demands is tremendous. And, we will get through it, but this weekend was the best time as lots of us work in the week and cannot be here all day to make up for lost time.

Anyway, continue your great work and I really really hope this get fixed today.

The bite button has been missing for around 11 hours. Seriously what gives? Unable to help others, unable to be helped. I gave up yesterday and pretended that survival just didn't start yet and hoped it would be fixed by today... It's not. This is much worse than just losing sP in the vip.

Woke up and vial strain still isn't showing on my avatar or the healer. I'm starting to wonder if I made a mistake as I have have no way to tell if I'm progressing or not. I'd hate to cancel it now as I've already used up afew hours as is.

I was worried when my HA wasn't showing the first stage of infection (that I picked up right when Survival started) even though both the VIP and the Healer said I was infected. I thought something might have glitched so I started over and only afterwards saw that first stages weren't showing for other people and I was probably fine. I'm not sure why I try to get infected early on. I always end up delayed somehow.

My stage 1 isn't showing up despite the site saying I'm infected and me clearing the cache, will it show up eventually or will I have to cancel it?

Also, if you're not going to give us extra time, can we at least have a way to shorten the waiting times for new stages, please? Like maybe paying even more SP for it, or CSC, or another currency?

I went and undid the old strain I bought and picked a new one just now and I already have a lump on my head... idk what that means haah but I cant wait to find out. Any idea why my avatars outfit wont change or why I cant add a human avatar section to my profile? thanks for all the help!

If you picked a new strain, you can watch your avatar or stalk the board I linked you to. Progressions take a while to happen, though, so I don't anticipate anything cropping up soon (I am so sorry, but I don't remember how long they take right now and I don't want to give you incorrect information). At the bottom of the Healer's page you can see your naked HA to better see the infection, though other things like kisses and snowballs will show up. But you can keep that page open or just open the avatar shown there in its own tab and refresh it whenever.

Just wondering if we'll be given extra time for our stations to develop so we can, hopefully, get all four? Because quite a lot of us aren't showing any signs yet which means we've basically lost a day with stages. I just want to know if I should reject this strain, and go for a vial or am instant new strain, or keep incubating what I've got.

The infections aren't items ! They 'infect your avatar' and change it over a few days into a zombie (or rather, a Subeta-style zombie). Once it's done "progressing" it will unlock the skin in the wardrobe (click the Skins tab in the wardrobe to peruse them). And once it's unlocked you can take it off and put it on whenever you want, so no worries about it staying. You will also be able to get another strain once it's unlocked. This thread will be updated as this years progressions pop up, and has some useful information, such as past infections, what they look like, the names (and choice words), and the year they were introduced.

I got myself infected with blistered hearts and it says I'm infected but when I go to the healer I don't see any signs of the first stage (there should be tiny hearts on my forehead and one on the shoulder, but there's nothing).. is it because I'm wearing a zapper skin?

it's always the same, if an event hangs the page only and the same excuses always come. after almost 10 years i think; stop apologizing and look for programmers who can create the pages that work, we should also pay for it.

Is there a way to make a que time frame perhaps? I waited until almost midnight to sign up for a fresh new infection from this year and I'm still in the waiting room... I know there might be a line ahead of me so to speak. I'd just like to know if I should back out and retry?

I mean, they didn't function at all, at least on our end, for a good few hours after the event launched... however that was also occurring when the Bite buttons weren't functioning either.

It seems that some of the survival flowers aren't being noticed by the memorial. Blue Survival Note Rose Orange Cute Survival Flowers Blue Fresh Snipped Survival Flower

These are all in my inventory and I'm pretty sure I bought them from Seedlings, but the Survival Memorial won't take these three. This might be effecting all Seedlings flowers, or perhaps it's just me?

Before the site went down I was trying to add that just before the event started I found myself having the exact same "not showing up" problem that's been happening with the strains.... but with my hair layer. It was I think the day before this started my avatar, and in fact all of the previously saved avatars I've made with non-wig hair, went bald all of a sudden. My avatar was bald around the forums too until I saved again.

If you save your avatar in the wardrobe, you should be able to see your infection after that!

TLDR: There is a bunch of clever code on "sapi.subeta.net" that handles caching and will clear it when you save your avatar or make changes to it -- all of the new hex code goes through that so it automatically clears. The vials are super old code that we forgot to update, so we're going to jump into that now but a workaround is to just save your avatar :)

Still worried on my lotus infection but I forgot if vials also take awhile to get to stage 1 so may have jumped the gun, tired so last year was a blurr when I got Stinging x_x
