I DO spend sP on quests and other things . I DO not just sign in to collect my interest. I do quests and I buy from others everyday. I even look for the shops of the NEW users in order to try to help the new players get started. I buy things that I don't even need or want from people as a good citizen who's trying to make a difference here--to help other people get started in the game. I'm NOT just signing in to collect my interest and I never said that was ALL I was doing here.

I truly don't think that you're looking at this from all angles, from the perspective of "something for everyone" and I don't understand how it hurts the economy to give interest to people.

Can you enlighten me, is it something that has to do with computer programming, cause if that's the reason, it would NOT be something I would understand in terms of the exact reasons, but if you said it's a problem with programming I'd understand that w/out having to understand the details.

oddly enough, those of us who do pull in a significant amount from our interest do/have work(ed) hard for the sP just like the rest of you. I highly doubt anyone relies solely on their interest, it isn't that brilliant, but it was a nice bit.

Glad to see the dislike of those with more is just as alive and well here as in the real world. Although, unlike in the real world, you do not simply inherit money, you have to work for it. I'm not going to sit here and apologize for having the sP I have because I damn well earned it playing this site every damn day for nearly eight years, and I have saved it, and I still make a point to make it.

That right there is a classic example of the rich get richer and the poor get poorer XP While it might be a nice motivation for a few people to spend real money here, it doesn't help the poorer players on here sP-wise. The poorer players just see their sP going down and the richer players' going up. It's the same in RL, too, but it'd be nice if there was one little place in the universe (even if it's fake!) that you can see more economical equality with sP earning XD The joys of questing help here, too! o.o runs off to quest

There might also be a limit on how often we can withdraw and the maximum amount we could withdraw. I wish my bank was like the vaults. It's not like I get any interest irl anyway. that .01% or whatever adds up I guess.

In the real world interest is ALSO given as an incentive for saving MORE so that the bank has MORE to invest in whatever it invests in. This is NOT the real world, and giving more sP to people who HAVE a lot of sP is NOT a bad idea, it's GOOD for incentive and motivation. I am more and more convinced that some people don't actually understand how the REAL world works and what makes it tick. Do you really think that people like Donald Trump would put their money into banks (and other investments) if the interest were NOT there as an incentive.

What "real world" are you living in, cause the one I'm living in is one in which I have been participating as part of the economy, and understanding how it works, since LONG before most people here were born (and some of your parents).

I didn't say it was worthless, I said that it's generating sP without any other impact. We can keep sP from quests high because at least then you're moving sP around when you buy items from other users. Everything else has some kind of impact, except interest, where you just sign on and collect 300,000sP for having a large bank account.

I'm sorry if this choice pushes you to no longer spend money in the cash shop, but it's meant to help make sure that the sP you do have retains value.

What the real question here is why are we waiting so long to take out interest? what's 11 days going to get anyone?

Income taxes? We need a 9% business flat tax, 9% personal flat tax, 9% sales tax. It would simplify the economy dramatically.

The only time on subeta where I've had an insane amount of Sp to claim interests, I spent it all within the next 10 mins of getting it. I remembered to collect interests maybe five times in 4 years otherwise lol

This is the most awful thing that I've EVER seen happen here. I almost completely stopped giving money to this website (buying cash) a couple of months ago because of a disagreement I had with staff regarding an item hunt and NOW I may completely STOP.

The old folks here (at least some of us) enjoy seeing our interest go up. My interest was almost at 300,000 and now you're going to GET RID OF IT.

It's not well thought out, in my opinion, and NOT a very global way of thinking. Don't you want to keep ALL of your players happy, not just the teen to 20 somethings???? Most people I know who are in that age range don't know a THING about saving, so why would they care???? If ones bank account is the average size of the average user here (under 20 million) the interest is meaningless. But if your bank is in the billions it DOES have meaning.

You say there's no reason to give it--it's a reward for saving. If you think that's meaningless, so be it, but to some people it is NOT meaningless. I LOVE to save, I'm much older than most who play here. I don't do other things that young people enjoy doing (such as collect stickers and plushies--cause that is meaningless to me) I DO give generous gifts to my friends and having a big bank account helps me do that. Now I have very little motivation to continue saving.

Do you NOT want to keep things here so that there is "something for everyone." I doubt I'm the only rich subetan who's going to be upset by this. Some people are good at OTHER ways of making sP, and I'm good at saving. It's an important part of my income, and it was serving a purpose to help me with a goal.

I guess that means nothing, though. I thought it was already bad that my interest was only 3 percent, and that others, who played here longer, had higher interest, but I NEVER complained.

If you want to do something about interest, make it equitable, so that everyone gets the same amount, but PLEASE don't remove it. You're going to lose a good customer here. I might have "come back" to spending 50 US dollars a month here (out of my tiny income from disability) but NOW I never never never NEVER will.

I agree with someone else that it seems random and out of the blue for right now, and I was sad to lose bank interest, but after reading Keith's explanation I'm okay with it because I agree. I bought a morty card for 65k just now, and I highly doubt the purchase will be worth it, but I wanted to have at least one so I can try out whatever new comes of morty cards.

jesus, morty cards used to be treated like junk, now they're at, what, 60k+? guess i'll have to do without my daily 100k then. figured it kind of acted as a reward for me managing to get the amount of sp i have, not so much 'free sp' (even if that's what it is, i guess, somewhat).
