I did some hoovering earlier, and that's been about it for the day :P I've been trying to get working on my latest sewing project, but I've got to the last bit of the trouser I'm making (and I'm scared of messing it up!), and haven't yet started tackling the top that goes with them 😊

I guess I would at least work on the trousers until I was sure I could concentrate and sure of what I needed to do. :) At least with yarn you can usually frog the project and start over again. :P

I am still playing Zelda- tears of the kingdom. It is a huge game with tons of stuff to do. According to internet it takes 230 hours to 100 complete it. A lot less if you skip some optional stuff. Main story is about 60 hours.

That's part of the problem with this fabric - I've had to unpick some stitches already, and they're not easy to unpick without catching the fabric! It's a lovely soft feeling fabric, but it's definitely a load more challenging to sew than a regular cotton :P

Surgery was painful in several points. He wound up having to do an extra surgery on it and my leg is not overly happy when walking. Good thing I'm supposed to take it easy. But it's not too much pain at the moment. I've been taking the narcotics as I was told so that's probably why. Now I'm watching Jurassic Park and doing a latch hook.

Dad had to take Annie to the vet today as we thought she had a cold or something. I had to talk to the vet over the phone. I think it went well. But we have two cats to look forward to medicating as Carmen also had the same signs. Doc thinks it's allergies. Unfortunately it wasn't cheap ($205) and Carmen spilt 3/4 of the medication so we'll have to go back and buy some more -sighs-

Paddy Well I don't ask so it could be partly my fault. lol. he said my leg was so tight he didn't know how I was able to walk at all and it was one of the worst he'd seen in years. He had to add the extra surgery to help make it more flexible and he physically held my foot in position when putting the cast on to hopefully stretch it more. He hopes it all will give it the best chance of healing correctly this time. I guess we'll see.

aww that stinks on the extra surgery, but hopefully this time it won't need any more attention once it's healed up squishes

Sounds like you need a lot of patience to work with this project. I am sure it will look great once it is done. :D Love fabrics that feels soft and a bit luxurious to wear. That is true. A lot of entertainment for the money, and I bought it with gift cards I earned by doing surveys anyway.

Sorry they ended up having to do extra surgery on top of it. :hugs: Taking it easy sounds wise so that you heal faster. Any idea when you will be back on normal? Vets can be so expensive. All of them have allergies they vet thinks? Or am I being dense and reading things wrong again? I hope they do better on the new food.

it seemed like a great idea at the time laughs but once it's done, it should be a perfect outfit for hot summer days.... of course I had the idea in our heatwave in June, and since then we've had hot days but not much really screaming "summer" for weather :P

i'm trying my best. i'm not walking much if at all. the painkillers suck. I'm still in pain and I feel terrible with the medication. Nauseous, dizzy, pounding headache, and slightly detached. I think I'll call in the morning and ask for something else because I'm miserable. I even refused to take them for the first two days after my surgery but sadly, by Friday was in so much pain I had no choice. I'm damned if I do and damned if I don't. Nope I stopped asking. It'll be healed when it's healed. -shrugs- No just two of the cats and Melody has had allergies since forever.

I am sorry the painkillers aren't working for you. :( I really hope they can find something else that works better for you. It does sound like you really need the pain relief. :squishes gently: Sounds like you are going to need a lot of special food for the two cats and Mel then, that does get expensive. Pusur gets high quality food. Even that is expensive enough I think. :P

No heatwave for us. We rather had a very cold and wet Juli and August. :P Some really warm days in June, but that is it. Thank goodness. I hate the summer heat. 18c and cloudy/rainy is more than fine with me. xD

hehe I prefer it to be more like 24C, but I really hate it when it's getting on for 30C and the sunlight it so intense! :P

Just wanted to let you gals know that I will be gone for the next few days. We are leaving for our trip super early tomorrow, so mom is sleeping over at my place.
