nods they've said there's more chance of thunderstorms on Sunday again, but I'm not entirely convinced that'll happen - once we've had intense thunderstorms somewhere in the country, the forecasts all seem to be over-eager to say there'll be more :P
You've got cooler weather than us then - still t-shirt and shorts weather here, although I do admit to wearing socks with my sandals indoors (otherwise my feet get cold!) :P
The badgers did decide to dig a massive hole under the rhubarb (that isn't netted because nothing normally goes for it), so we had to fill that in just to stop the rhubarb plants falling into the pit :P ooo Mum likes hortensias (some of hers grow better than others!) - what colour is your one?

we’ve had a lot of t storms this week ourselves.
ive been trying but it doesn’t help with increased pain in my legs and my tooth broke so i have to get some dental work done too
despite the storms that were forecast, all we had was rain Saturday (which wasn't forecast), rain on Sunday and that thick misty drizzly rain this morning before the sun finally broke through the clouds. I'm sure our weather forecasters get a bit over-enthusiastic when it comes to forecasting storms after there's been storms the previous week :P
How do the cats (and Melody) get on with thunderstorms?

It must be frustrating to deal with since it has been going on for so long already. :hugs: I hope you can get that tooth fixed sooner rather than later.
We are suppose to get rain and thunderstorms too this week. o-o Fun times. With the weather today I did a workout I found on youtube, so I could stay dry. 👼 I have been using my new pair of pink happyflops slippers indoors lately, so comfy!
The badgers are cute, but seems like they are also a nuisance. :P My mom used to make rhubarb soup or porridge, so good! My hortensia is pink. Very pretty. :D

Hopefully you won't get torrential rain, and the thunderstorms will skirt round your area ;) I can't blame you on wanting to stay in! I had to go out to get a couple of chores done.... I wasn't outside for long, but of course it decided to rain at that exact time :K :P Those slippers sound brilliant! :D
Yeah, we've even had to leave a hole in the bottom of the garden fence, otherwise the badgers just break a hole themselves so they can get through :P
I've never heard of rhubarb soup before!
The pink hortensias do look particularly stunning :D

For the most part the rain has not been too bad. I even got a dry walk today. Yay! I have gotten a lot of minor chores done lately too. Just boring little stuff that needed doing.
Hehe.. That is cute that you made a tunnel for the badgers. :D You could always google recipes for rhubarb soup of you like to try it. It is not difficult to make, just takes a bit of time I believe.
:nods: I love the pink colour too... right now the flowers are more green than pink tho for some reason? :P

Yay for a dry walk! We had really heavy rain at one point, but everyone who was outside seemed to come prepared - they all had umbrellas! ;)
I think I'll have to look that up, as it does sound quite an interesting one to try :D
I have a feeling the flowers start off a kind of greeny white then turn pink as they open fully? (I'll check with Mum later and see if I got that right laughs)

Umbrellas often doesn't work too well here, too much wind a lot of the time. ;) But I do have a few options when it come to raincoats and stuff. If you make rhubarb soup make sure to add sugar. Or else it can turn pretty sour.
It seems like some have gone from pink to green. Might need to read up on hortensias. I know so little about gardening and plants. o_o

That's always a problem when it gets stormy, although a waterproof hat plus waterproof coat (with a hood) definitely comes in handy! (the hood helps to stop the hat from blowing away in the wind :P) Yeah, Mum doesn't like too much sugar being added to rhubarb (or blackcurrants), but I don't like overly sour tasting stuff, so I usually add a bit more :P
Mum bought a blue hortensia, but didn't realise that if it's not grown in a articular type of soil, the colour would revert to pink :P
[edit] I asked Mum, and she said it depends on the variety of hortensia - some start out a different colour then turn to the colour they should be as the flowers grow. Others start out the 'right' colour, then turn that kind of greeny-white as the flowers start to fade ;)

they don't mind the thunderstorms, thankfully. However, Melody doesn't like rain one bit lmao so she doesn't go to the loo until she's bursting.
Your ha is cute :D
Oh and to save time, the ha is based off of Loki from Marvel comics, Avanger movies, thor movies and the Loki show in disney+

oh yes, it's really frustrating. And then my teeth as well...it's overwhelming. But hopefully I'll be done with both soon. How's it going for you?
I can't blame Melody on the rain - she sounds much like the some of the greyhounds they had at the local rescue at one point. They only went out (for the loo) in the rain if they had a waterproof dog coat, and someone was standing there with a brolly to keep them dry :P
Thanks - I was going to change to a pirate look earlier in the week, but seeing as KeelHauliday was delayed, Niamh stuck with her Subeta birthday look for longer than she'd really wanted to ;) ooo that looks a perfect match for Loki :D

haha that's awesome lmao. I'd be the same way though... it must suck having to go outside in the elements.
Your pirate looks awesome :D.
Thanks. He's an awesome character.
:P You just need one of those awning covers that you can pull out from the side of the house, so Melody doesn't get wet if she needs a pee :P
Pirate-Niamh does have eye brow rings and earrings, but the hair covers them completely :K

Just have to say, that is brilliant cosplay. Well done. :D Yeah, dental work is no fun either. >_< I hope things start to look up for you soon as well. :hugs: I am doing okay. Just doing my usual stuff. Family, hobbies and some walks and stuff. :P The new meds I am on, seem to be working better than others I have tried.. so that is promising.
Always get a raincoat that has a hood. ;) I don't even have a waterproof hat. :) I have had to hold on to my hood more than once, as they want to be gone with the wind. :P I really, really dislike sour foods, so I cringe at the idea of eating rhubarb without any sugar added! Blackcurrants are fine tho for me. As kids, we would pick rhubarb from my grandmothers garden and dip them into a bag of sugar and eat. :P
Thanks for the explanation from your mother about Hortensia flowers. :D That is good to know. :)

I've got one waterproof (well, showerproof) coat that doesn't have a hood, simply because I made it from a denim jacket sewing pattern and that didn't have a hood option :P but I decided to make a baseball cap in the same fabric, so I could make sure I had a peak to stop so much rain getting onto my glasses 😇 I do want to try making another cap that's a little bit taller though - I always want to pull it down more than it can go, just so it feels a bit more secure on my head! :P
ROFL now that's not something I've ever tried doing! I don't really like the taste of blackcurrants (even with sugar), but Mum's quite pleased as it means she gets more of them to eat :P I did try the gooseberries from the allotment this year, and they were surprisingly tasty (again cooked into a kind of pure-style with plenty of sugar - it started off quite running and sauce-like, but in the fridge it thickened up overnight so it wasn't runny at all by the next day).
You're welcome :D

Matching denim jacket and baseball cap sounds pretty neat tho. :D I feel you, wearing glasses when it is raining can be a big pain in the rear. I hate hats that are too short and I have to keep pulling it back over my ears to keep them warm. Also a big pain in the rear.
My grandmother had gooseberries growing in her yard too, but they were never my favorite. :P I prefer blueberries or raspberries. :)

I'm the opposite when it comes to warm hats - I hate them over my ears! Although maybe this year will be different, as I had my hair cut a lot shorter than it was (I hadn't had it cut for years), so I might need the warmth of a hat over my ears in the winter :P
I've never tried blueberries - I might have to see what they're like :)
Admittedly I haven't ever tried gooseberries raw - I cooked mine in the same way we do the blackberries & blackcurrants, so that probably helped as I know they can be really sour if you get to them before they're properly ripe.... and when the gooseberries have been really ripe other years, they either fall off the plant before I can pick them, or the local wildlife decides to eat them - there's never been any left for me to try!

I always put my hair in a pony tail when I go for a walk, since I hate it when the wind blows my hair into my face, so my ears can get cold. :P I seem to freeze easier now than I have before too for whatever reason. Not sure why.
:O You should try and get some blueberries then. My other favorite has to be strawberries. :D I have never tried to make jam or anything like that. I guess I could get my mom to teach me.

There's not much worse than a mouthful of hair because the wind blew your hair into your face! :P
ooo strawberries are definitely one of the best fruits out there :D I've never tried making anything with them either - they're too tasty raw to want to bother messing around cooking them into anything 😇

lol I don’t plan on getting one if those. She does have a rain coat but doesn’t seem to want to pee with it on 0.o
Good thing you haven’t layered them above. Eyebrows cannot possibly be above anything lmao
why thank you xd. Lol had to do a lot of playing to find things that worked to sort of make the leather outfit. I will be making myself a Loki horn set for Halloween xd
Glad the meds seem to be helping
