OMG finally!
At the moment we can’t get out the house. The builders have levelled the floor in the hall and front porch. And it’s still wet. So we may have to have a forced Friday night in. They’re not coming back until tomorrow at 9am. So our trip to the cinema may be cancelled 😞 as we don’t know how long they are going to be.
I’m telling myself it’s just small chaos…. We can last a couple of days. However I can feel my anxiety getting worse.
Christmas tree is down. The house looks so empty.
Ian’s told me we are going out tonight, however we are going to have to try and not stand on the wet floor….. going to be fine after a few beers.

the pet I used is level 10 but as the troll can only be beat with a tier 1-5 weapon you can use any lower pet as well. As long as it can use the weapon I used Shelli just because he is listed as first up for battle and it's easier not to switch to another pet.
I had an attack cat too for a while. Aggie (Aggravation). She hated people. Even us. Would lay on top of Katie's bed and attack her when she laid down. Would fight anyone who tried to mover her off their bed. Chased me down the hall attacking my ankles. Once my mom visited and she went to pet her and the cat jumped screamed and ran ... Then later every time my mom came the cat would get on top of the fridge and growl/hiss/swipe at her!

I love hot honey and ginger tea, whether it's in a bag or I throw some ginger in a hot mug of water and then add some honey, doesn't matter. It really helped, too.
Been raised on those hot totties, too. Most of mine were with wine, believe it or not, b/c I couldn't stand the whiskey.
Everything's better after a few beers, Luce! :P But man that sounds like a lot to deal with, especially one thing after the other. What made you guys choose to do everything now?
My tree and decor is still up. I'm never in a rush to take that stuff down b/c then it just makes everything so dreary and my state is constantly clouded over. Everything's just so ugly and dull this time of year that I actually wish for snow just to make it pretty.
Also, my youngest won't be here until next Thursday so we'll be celebrating our Christmas, then. :D I've gotta hang a light fixture up in her room that I got her and wash her comforter so I can put on the pretty pink duvet set I got her.
I turn my cats into attack cats with a laser pointer. 😂 I try to get one of them to run over the dog when he's laying around but he usually licks them when they get too close.

Totally reasonable to keep yours up til you celebrate with your daughter. Also perfectly ok to leave it up as long as you want to.
I have made a snowman out of boxes, with three faces and two bodies....I have made an "igloo" style hotel front. I have made an ice fishing game...(I have pictures I will share after I get home) Whew. Busy day lol
We do have a back door. However our back gate only locks from the inside. So if we go out it wouldn’t lock and the garden wouldn’t be secure we live in an end terrace house, however we have a plan 😂
Ian has the spare ££ now and wants it all done as soon as possible.
After what’s we have going on.. we will be putting new floorboards and laminate flooring in the landing and a bespoke shelving unit in my old wardrobe, it’s now where all the piping and boiler is for the central heating
Then the living room. Painting, under floor heating, bannister for the stairs as we currently don’t have one.
Then onto the bathroom, new tiling and new bathroom flooring and new loo, sink, bath etc.
Then to decide do we went to do the spare room or the bedroom.I’d rather stop after the living room
Not forgetting the solar panels in the next couple of weeks.
Can y'all pay for some stuff to be done at my house too? Dang! Lol Sounds almost like you are getting a whole new house by the end! Love it! Hope your plan works and you don't mess up the new floor.
Ian says we’re just doing everything we’ve ever wanted to do. But didn’t have the money to do it. We’ve been in our house 18.5 years and this is the first real work we’ve ever had done.
I see less people wanting to improve their homes and rather buy a new one or pay to have one made to their specs. Then again, the first year of the virus when everyone was staying at home, a lot of people were doing home improvement. lol
TGIF. I know it was a shorter week for me but I'm glad it's over.

We love our house, it’s perfect for us at the moment.
I own dads house which is a four bedroom. And we will move in there when he does pass away and probably rent our house out. Hopefully he’ll be around for many years to come.
I agree it was a four day working week for us. But it was the longest four day week ever!!!
It was a really long week here, too. I don't know why. Maybe just that after holiday break-ness?!
Lily is celebrating her birthday today, so a few friends, making nachos, and I picked up the krispy kreme she wanted. BUT right now she's folding her laundry (at least some of it!) that she didn't do yesterday, while E is hanging out with their friend Lucas LOL. He got shuffled off.
Very polite and nice kid, though. He's the one that was here yesterday too, to work on an assignment.
I would totally love to fix up my house. Even tho I feel it is too big for me to live in alone (eventually), I still love it. And if I had money, I'd fix stuff in the kitchen (especially the cabinets), redo the kids bedrooms back to 2 bedrooms w/ closets, change up the bathrooms, and probably a few other things :) I'm so glad for you that you guys can fix your place the way you want and need.
you have created plenty of things!! books, candles, trays.... you're awesome! The things I created were for the classroom for the kids. I hope they enjoy it. Lead teacher was like "look up some easy to do winter ides for the dramatic play area" - and the things I liked best were the igloo/hotel, ice fishing, snowmen, and I liked snow shoveling as well, but she veto'd that one, and I don't mind honestly but it would have been fun. (it was cotton batting on the floor, and kid size plastic snow shovels) lol There were a few other cute things. I wish I could have done a full igloo, but we didn't have the space/materials for that.

I got home to a VERY nice surprise in the mail box. Nathan qualified for a P-EBT card and I knew nothing about it. Apparently every kid in our state who qualified to receive free/reduced lunch got funds. And his name was included. I haven't applied for free/reduced in forever, but every kid in our system has been on free lunch for the past 2 years anyway (county wide). So I guess that's why he qualified. And now I have several hundred extra dollars to spend on groceries! :D Awesome!

The 6 kids.. 5 teenagers.. in my living room spent 20 minutes fighting over which PBS kids show to watch. They landed on Nature Cat. Weirdos. Then they played Overcooked on the Switch.

Didn't the letters have a # to call if you didn't get a card???? I would gladly give you the number on my paper but I'm pretty sure it's for Georgia LOL and not your state. Nathan hasn't received benefits before this ... even tho like I said, the whole county has been on free meals for like 2yrs now. I did take advantage of the free food program from the school COVID year, but after that since no one was really eating them, I stopped. When he went back to school, I found out that EVERYONE (kids) was getting free meals. I still have to pay for mine, as an adult, and this past Sept the price increased again. But strange to me, that if the whole county has been on free meals, why hasn't Nathan gotten PEBT before? But I am sure happy he got it now, even if he didn't qualify before. The letter says it's for summer - eligibility from May 2022, you got funds for June & July....and received it in December (of course, mine just showed up at my house now.... but it said the funds were loaded on the cards Dec 20th or something). And that this is the third round. Maybe that means its the third summer? And he wasn't eligible til now? I have no idea. But again, grateful to have gotten it!
Hahha yea the snowman is cute. I made it so they can stack the boxes like 3 different ways (minimum, knowing them they'll do all kinds of wonky rather than the ones I did) - I like the short fat one best ;)
Oh and I'm annoyed right now. So we went to go to therapy, to find out they scheduled him at 4pm. I NEVER regularly schedule him at 4pm. That is too rushed for me. I do occasionally accept coming in early (at 4pm but we don't arrive til a bit after 4) and I feel rushed. SO I would NEVER regularly schedule him for that. They said his therapist already had someone else back in the room. She showed me he was scheduled for 4 next week too, and I told her that wasn't right. We'd NEVER scheduled for 4pm. She said they switched to a new system at the beginning of the year and had to put in apts by hand ... My guess is that since just before Christmas, they were closed that Friday, so I DID schedule him for 4pm on Thursday - because we were on break and they were closed Friday. And they looked at THAT time when they redid the schedule. UGH So I am waiting on a call back after he gets done with that client and they figure out what to do about Nathan. I don't care what day, but I can only do 5 or 6 apts, so I don't feel rushed.
Also - if they had him scheduled at 4pm, and we didn't show up, WHY DIDN"T THEY CALL? I hear them calling other clients who are late all the time when I am sitting there while he is in therapy....I didn't get a call or I would have ran him up there, better late than not at all, and we could have worked out the apt time. URRRGGHHHHH
Yeah, they did, but I called them twice and never got a call back or anything. And I sent a letter too, how it said to. nothing :P

E has a med check scheduled for during school next week.. so she's going to duck into guidance and do it. Because I've complained SO MANY times, so now they've stopped callling and TELLING us when appointments are, and just.. schedule them and hope we show up? So her therapist has to call us and tell us when they are.

They do med checks at the school?? Wouldn't that be a dr office thing? I'm confused. But hey, whatever works. Stupid of them to not call and verify your apt time. What if you had something else to do at the time they scheduled an apt w/o confirming w/ you? Nope not my fault then, thats on you!

Yes, it's a doctors office thing. But she does hers telehealth, and so she's just doing it.. at.. school.
Because they keep scheduling them DURING her college level classes, so if she does it from guidance, then she only missed 20 minutes instead of 45.
And.. they don't care. That's why they've been doing it this way. Awful.
