Oooh yes. Sounds so fun! I AM jealous!! :P I plan to go to the RenFaire again. And...thats about the only plans I've made. And its not even a solid plan just a "I want to go again" thought. I would also like to go visit my family again, but I don't know, since I have to stay in hotels and it costs so much more that way (I have to because I can't stay at my moms, won't stay at one brothers, and the other brother is an hour drive away from the rest of them, he would probably let me stay tho, and I might think about it....)
$25 for a drive thru carwash??? WHAT??? Have prices increased? Last time I went (mind it was a few years ago) it was about $10 for the one I got. I did get a cheaper one. Maybe the full do-everything-to-the-car wash costs that here too I don't know.
I don't know, it's the only one I've ever been to LOL.
The renn faire is so fun, though! I'd like to go to that, too... and go to Philly and hit up some museums. Just not enough money in the wallet to do everything haha.
Ugh yes! The hotels are the most expensive part, I swear! That's what's killing me about Hershey... I can't figure out what to do. Thankfully we've got a while, still?
The car wash at the gas station is $14 for the deluxe stuff and just under $10 for the regular wash. They just built a new one right down the street that is fully automatic (finally) so I'm waiting for that one to open to see how it is. Still need to sweep out all the damn pine needles on the carpet.
There's a fancy one down the street also that includes full service but I don't go to it b/c I know the price is going to be ridiculous.
I wouldn't mind going to the Renaissance festival again, but tickets are so expensive, just like everything else in there. Honestly for that price I could spend the day at the roller coaster/swim park, which is literally 20min away from me. :D There's some new coasters I need to try out.

The tickets to ours are only like $20 a person. I easily spend like $30-$40 a person for food/drink tho because they don't allow outside food. They do allow reentry so I've thought about taking lunch But I WANT the steak on a stake!!!! Drinks are outrageous tho. Water should not cost $3-5!!! And then there is the souvenirs hahaha.I always get something. I can't help myself. And I always get my hair braided....used to be about $20 now it's like $30-40 depending on style.
Six Flags, the theme park near us, costs almost $70 per person to get in. Might as well buy season tickets because you can get those fo only like $20 more lol. We dont go tho. Haven't for years. If I could get someone to go with me, id get zoo passes again. I like the zoo. But no one else wants to go. Family passes are like $100 for the year. (Or were, last time I bought)
Yeah, our ren faire is $35. But it's two hours away, and food is so crazy!
Butttt Hershey is just as far away as the ren faire (two hours or so), and the tickets to THAT are.. also insane. $77 per day, $56 per day if you do two days. Like,.... eesh! And then food and drink there, also crazy. And it's not so bad.. until there's 5 of you :P
Great Wolf is expensive, too! But that includes the hotel and the waterpark for however long you're there, I love it! It's half off right now too, since we booked so far in advance. $675.76, Check in on Tuesday.. you can check into the rooms at 4, but you can check in and use the waterpark at 1. Checking out on Thursday, checkout is 11, but you can stay and play all day until they close so.. really not too awful? And that's for as many people as the room fits, so ours is for 6. Two of us, the three kids, and Els friend.
Especially because JUST two day tickets for Hershey right now.. ON SALE.. are $450 for the five of us. Oof. So yeah. I wish it was all included together haha
Wholly crap, Mieke. That's crazy for Hershey! I have around that leftover each month after all my bills are paid (only now b/c I'm paying over 600 for my car and insurance on it)!
So I checked the ticket rate and it was $28 for the 2022 festival, but I know I've checked before and it was more expensive. Right now, they're only selling season passes for $70.
I'll stick w/ my cheap and solitary camping. :P
Our coaster park slash water park is 30 s/thing for 1 day and parking. I used to get season passes when I worked nights b/c I would have 3 days off a week and would go up to the water park early and sun bake and swim all day. Love the slides and lazy river too but I lounged by a wave pool, which I also loved. Coasters are better with someone, and with me they'd better be willing to take the first car on the coaster! :D
Well, I was hoping to take pics of the before and after trays but the handles need a size in between the 2 lengths of screws that were included. I'm considering E3000, though. If it doesn't work, at least I can still put screws in. :P
[edit] You found a fairy while making a post! Ok, I'm tired of getting these and never any forum points!

Good grief Mieke. That's pricey. But it is for a lot of people. Sounds like sooo much fun. Besides chocolate, obviously, what is the Hershey place all about? I've heard of the great wolf lodge. I think we have one around here somewhere...or something g like it anyway. I've thought about looking into going but I have no idea if any of mine would want to go.
Wow taarna. Now if my coaster park was that cheap I'd like to go again. I used to be insane about coasters. Would ride the ones everyone else was scared of. I do not like the front car but would ride it. Now tho. I am scared of heights (can still ride coasters) and have to concentrate (and not look down) and can't even think about going on something where my feet dangle.
Me...I have like $150 a month left after bills. Very low income here. Ah well. It's enough to do one or two fun things. I guess I should pay my doctor bills off first tho. sigh
I'm tired already of fairies too. I guess because I have the achievements now lol. I've been donating them since no one spoke up to say they needed/wanted them.
Oh yeah, ours is definitely saved up for.
Hershey is just another amusement park.. but chocolate themed? LOL. I went on my very first roller coaster there.. the super dooper looper. I remember riding with my aunt, and then she bought me the t-shirt after. And I've loved roller coasters ever since!
The first place I ever remember going on a coaster is probably Lagoon, it had a double loop coaster, wheee! I can't remember the name of it. Lagoon is in Utah. Then there was Knots Berry Farm. I remember that one mostly because it was where I was the ONLY ONE who wanted to go on Montezumas Revenge again. No one would go with me so I didn't get to go again. It was a short ride, straight-way into a loop, into a straightway w/ an upward curve at the end- and then BACKWARDS thru it to the beginning. I LOVED IT!! Everyone was was too scared to go again. (I think they didn't like going backwards thru the loop) Then of course, Disneyland in California....and finally Disney World in Floriday, and of course SixFlags here in GA
Chocolate themed coaster park sounds fun lol I can't wait to see pictures. And I like the fact you can use the facilities at Great Wolf even when you aren't checked in or have already checked out. Lets you have a little more fun time for your $!
the trays sound very interesting! I love that you are so crafty! :) Its amazing to see what you make.
Oh man. I LOVED Knotts Berry Farm growing up! And Disneyland. And here, we went to Knoebels and Dorney and Hershey.
The kids have only been to Disney World (Iz turned 3 months old there.. barely counts for her!), and Knoebels.. so it'll be exciting for them to see something else!
Disneyland was as a young kid (think, 8-12 age-ish). Disney World at 18 after I graduated (My grad present, and brothers wedding gift). And twice in my early 20s. Haven't been back since I was pregnant with Katie. I kept wanting to go, but no one else was very interested. I didn't really want to take YOUNG kids again, as we'd taken Shane when he was like between 1&2, and again as I said, when I was pregnant, so he was not quite 3. I feel he has no memory of that so I wanted to wait til they were older, and then Nathan came along so I wanted to wait til HE was older....and then we just never went. Because when we went those 2 times with Shane - my family went as well, and I saw how difficult it was to do the rides with kids (both times we had an INFANT like you said Iz was). Passing them off to others, waiting turns for rides. And the kids have no memory. We also lost Lee (my oldest nephew) for a little while. VERY scary! (He was like 5-6ish?)
I honestly do not remember where Knotts Berry Farm is located? :P I just remember going there. And riding that ride and NO ONE wanting to ride it with me again. Its funny that you've been there as well!! Or is there more than one location for them?
I have taken down my tree, and my living room decorations. Need to take down the outside/window stuff next I guess. Trying to decide if I want to stick it back up in the attic or put it in my closet. I do not like the attic and if I don't have someone to go up and get it, I'll hate having to go get it. I know I'll have Nathan next Christmas, but after that....?? So debating should I just start keeping them in the closet (the boxes of stuff). Same with my other holiday stuff, as I get it down, should I keep it down? I really want to clean out the attic anyway and get all the JUNK out of there and gone.
Oh and season passes for my RenFaire is $100+ I don't remember exactly. I was stickershocked. But it does run like 6 or 8 weekends, including the 3day memorial day weekend. And with the pass you get in EVERY day they are open. If only I had the spare funds to splurge and go every day hahahahah. Never will that happen. I'd want to get my hair done every weekend, and the food costs, omg. But at least that way I'd get to see all the shows AND visit all the different shops. Sometimes some of them aren't open every weekend. But I love going at different weekends, because its always a different theme. I can't decide for sure, but I think my favorite is cosplay weekend because I get to see everyone's creative costumes!! Last year we went on Mothers Day which was Pirate Weekend, that was fun too!! I like pirates! lol
Oooh, I think that's pretty good for a season pass! Plus, if you go all the time, you don't worry so much about teh food and such. Or at least, I don't haha.
Knotts Berry is in Southern Cali too, like Disneyland. We went when I was younger.. I'd fly from PA to CA by myself from the time I was 6, and then my grandparents would pick me up at the airport and I'd spend a month or 6 weeks with them, and we'd always do fun things.
I remember Captain Hook TRAUMATIZED me at Disney when I was like, 8.. he took my autograph book out of my hand and held it over the water! He was just wandering around and saw me talking to Peter Pan (who was ALSO just wandering around.. Disney was cooler in the 90s :P) and. yeah. When we went to Disney WORLD I saw Captain Hook and Alex said I made a face LOL.
Oh how mean (yet characteristic) of him lol I would make a face encountering another "Hook" later too. I like the cartoon Peter pan, but I have to say I loved Hook. With Robin Williams as Peter Pan. It's the best. My cousin and I spent years sending quotes to each other from that movie lol
Maybe if it was closer (or if I had more $ to spend) I'd be more willing to try season passes and like you said, not go gaga over the food. But it's a 45min drive to get there. Sooo food on top of all the souvenir spending that I want to do, I'm better off just choosing a weekend and going one day and splurging.
Trying to stay up for midnight. Getting tired. Got some fairy wands to light up. (Giant sparklers that also do colored smoke or something! New to me. I'm excited!) Nathan's been shooting off ground blasters all day (Individual firecrackers). And Shane got some stupid lightening flashers and lit them up earlier while I ignored him. I hate those things. Mini strobe lights basically. And waaaay too bright.
[edit] 830am Happy New Year!!! I stayed up til about 1030, fell asleep on couch. Nathan woke me at 10 til midnight. We lit up my sparklers (they didn't smoke as much as I thought they would based on the picture, but they were pretty cool!) Had a shot to celebrate the New Year and off I went to bed :P Amongst all the banging and noise of everyone else doing fireworks lol
Edit: 1030am Subeta Resolutions : Complete EVERY quest every day (including Drills and Battle). Do Bathhouse every day! :P (I want that achievement!), Play assorted games every day or more than once a day when possible. Today - regular quests completed. 71 New Year Tokens (3 REs rest quests), aprox 4mil gained. Off to do battle and drills then will post best items recieved today :P Got 4 mage amulets, 1 morty card, 173 fragmentizer crystals, and the best item to sell Not bad I guess :)
Ooooh, that's a lot of new years tokens! I bought all the food/plushies/beanbags/books this morning, and the one wearable I wanted haha.
Happy New Year, guys! We uh.. we just went to bed at 10:30 :P
I was surprised I got that many. I only had 5 in the shop. So I couldn't buy anything yet! :P I probably can now, but not everything I need, so I'll wait a little bit before shopping there lol
You got a forum point while making a post! Check out the shop here!
Dang. All but 1 sticker. Got all the plushies and beanbags tho. Will work on books and food tomorrow ;)

had some ramen for lunch.. long noodles AND cabbage, two new years day traditions!
New Years for lunch, anniversary for dinner.. we're having crab legs, scallops, and lobster tails. And uh.. probably not much else, so.. we'll see. Very healthy today :P
The red dress. So pretty!
Oh, yeah. Thank you! haha. Half our lives.. that's so crazy to me!
Nothing wrong with canned soup :P
Yea. I feel ya. I was there at one point too :)
The Miss Scarlet one? I loved the game peices theme this year. I am such a game nut. I have sooo many Monopoly games, we have Clue too, and I do have Chutes and Ladders but the box is all torn up. I should get rid of it and buy a new version. And Candyland. I have 2 versions of Candyland :P I like the gingerbread looking people of my game better than the versions they put in the shop hahah :P
AND OMG I was sooo excited they finally let us have those plushies and beanbags from two years ago! :P
We use meeples in say, Catan, a lot haha. I was counting our board games the other day and stopped when I hit 100 because I was like.. jesussssssss this is insane haha.
I love playing them, though! There's so many different kinds and I love.. most of them.
Except Monopoly, because even when I'm winning, I feel AWFUL about it.
Also.. I have ONE BEANBAG left and it's not for sale anywhere and apparently hasn't been for.. quite a while. Ahhhhhhhh.
