I was sorted into Ravenclaw ;) I saw the deatheater videos, that was soooo coool lol

Eh well, I saw the hours later, on a bookmark at school - they give them out to elementary but not older kids - and it said sunday 2-7. But why wasn't it posted AT the fair I wonder. I wouldn't have left him if I'd seen hours posted.

Now it seems he doesn't want to go anymore - but will change his mind again I'm sure if someone else asks him to go :P He did say something about going to a haunted house however - uuuh nope. Not me. I don't do haunted houses LOL I will take him to Terror Mills tho if he wants to go - its the closest one I know of - its in Jackson ;)

517pm Phew. Took me a little over an hour to get that lab done. Got 3 questions wrong on first try of each, right on the 2nd try of each - so lost 6 points. Got a 95 on the lab tho so....lol. But yea, I"ll redo it for the 100. (since I can!) I did get all the notes needed, plus a little I think. So yay on getting that done. Going to run and meet Shane at the truck stop, give him his mail, and then we decided to have Firehouse for dinner. I reallllly don't feel like cooking, plus everything is frozen anyway.

I'm a hufflepuff, too!

I am an absolutely NEVER on scary things Kat, so I'm with you :P

We had chicken breasts, baby carrots, and mashed potatoes for dinner. Tomorrow, though, we're going out. Texas Roadhouse, PTO fundraiser night. I felt like this was an OK one, especially since I've ignored their last three fundraisers so far this year. (Those stupid Savearound books, though :/ ugh.)

Hahah yea, some fundraisers are just dumb. I absolutely hate the "christmas wrapping paper, candles and ..... (whatever other random stuff)" one - because its all soooooo super over priced. We haven't done that one in a while tho. The cookie dough one is almost as pricey, but at least you get COOKIES!!! We also have one quite often called "laundry mama" - i guess its laundry soaps? I have never bought any. My absolute favorite fundraiser is the magazine one. The parent fills out a booklet with names/addresses of family/friends....return it to school, kid gets a prize. Anyone actually orders anything, kid gets another prize. 5 people or more order, kid gets a shirt and another prize. So kids get SOMETHING no matter what, as long as parents take 5min to fill out some addresses. My kids used to do that one too - and I'd use aunt for one, uncle for the other (same address, different name) hahahah :P My dad was the only one who ever bought things for himself, tho their other grandma often bought a subscription for THEM (like, national geographic for kids or something).

I was never really terrified of haunted houses, and I actually went thru this one local one I liked - the kids were participating in it, so I wanted to go see what they were doing. LOOONG time ago (as a teenager) I went thru a haunted house with my mom and brothers, and somebody working snatched and grabbed my hair and wouldn't let go (hair down to my BUTT)...mom said "aww its just stuck on a nail or something" and reached along to feel (it was dark) to unhook it, FELT the persons hand, screamed, which made ME scream even more - I could hear the person laughing as they ran off - but I've pretty much refused to go into haunted houses since then - except the one the kids worked at.

I LOVE cooked baby carrots - but I can never cook them to soft/yummy like Cracker Barrel does :( I've tried several different ways. Oh well.

OK yes.. but the cookie dough is STUPIDLY expensive, AND it doesn't even taste good.

But when we sell it, I'll buy one or two, and then I'll use that to do the library cookie walk. So.. two fundraisers, one stone. :P

Oh gosh Kat, I'd die. When I was like, 4 or 5? our local college used to do a haunted hayride, and I said I didn't want to go, and my mom made me go. I ended up hiding behind peoples legs, and I peed my pants.

BUT ALSO. If you were going to go on a murdering rampage.. wouldn't you just kill the guy with the chainsaw with no blade, and then you could chase after people at your leisure, because they'd be all "yeah haha scary oooooh" and then. BAM. Done.

EDIT: -flails- Just RSd the . Wheeeee.

Dang you lucky duck. That's the one I still need.

True there are much better cookies than the cookie dough fundraiser ones. But like you, I always bought a tub or two. Tho we ate them ourselves.

Hahaha yea the chainsaw dude always freaks me out even knowing it's not got a blade

[edit] 645pm Todays Update ; :P Did my chapter 6 assignment in bio and got a 100 first try. (I was leery about 3 of the answers but yaaay!) Redid the bio labster, got a 100. Checked English. One more person posted - so I'll wait til tomorrow to do my responses I guess :/ Dinner was ham steak, with broccoli/rice casserole and crescent rolls. Put chicken breasts in the fridge for tomorrow, going to put them in the crockpot in the morning.

Whoo, congrats Kat!!

We had Texas Roadhouse last night. Really not bad, and honestly, the prices were good, too.

Tonight, we're having chicken cordon bleu mac and cheese, per Lilys request. It's one of her favorites.

EDIT: Where is everyone? Is this how Kat feels? :P

Leftovers for dinner tonight, very boring.

yes dear. Thats how Kat feels ;)

I have been reading. Got a GOT "behind the story" type of book. Also got two books of what I believe is supposed to be short stories by the same author - haven't really looked at them yet, but hope they are good. Also just been plain out tired. Keep waking up in the middle of the night, sometimes go back to sleep and wake again and again and again... No fun. So very tired. Cough doesn't help. No other symptoms of ANYTHING just a cough (maybe some mucus drip in the throat which I think is causing the cough - so am going to try some mucinex or something this weekend)

Booo for feeling sick and awake all the time.

Have you tried supplements, etc? I know melatonin doesn't work for everyone, but Lily got some extended release on the advice of her doctor, and that really does help her.

I just try and wear myself out before bed nad go to sleep at the same time every night, but obviously that's not fool proof :P

No I haven't tried supplements. I usually go to bed near the same time (by 10pm). Some days I'm so tired I end up napping on the couch...those are the days I usually wake earlier. I feel like I'm at the stage where I am needing less sleep, but I can't stay awake later, and if I wake up earlier then I nap more...vicious cycle. I think the cough and cough pills are part of this right now...I cough and wake myself up. And the med is non drowsy type ... I should see if they have nighttime too

I just can't stand the syrup. It gags me to swallow it. I can if I have to (like prescription or if I've a HORRIBLE cough) - so I was very happy to find regular cough pills (not cold/fever etc cough pills). But they were non-drowsy. I slept better last night, I didn't take them at night time. I did wake up coughing a couple times tho. Ugh. Then the dog whined and woke me at 620. I'm working on cleaning the kitchen, doing laundry, and need to pick up the LR too and vacuum. Need to make Nathan clean all the water bottles out of the game room and his bedroom. I don't care that he has them in there, but WHYYYYYYY leave empty and half empty alllllll over the room???? I warned him two weeks ago that if he didn't start cleaning out the trash daily he would LOSE the game room, I would turn it back into a bedroom (and the middle room will become a storage room, since I now only have 1 extra twin bed - as the 2nd is at hubby's in case Nathan or anyone ever sleeps over there). The game system will come back out here, and he will NOT be allowed to take drinks to his bedroom. (Although, I know my child, and myself and he will sneak them past me and annoy the crap out of me that way).

Also I plan to go to the doctor today. Hoping they will work with me on the cost if it goes over my budget for whatever tests they want to do about my arm (if any). I am going to do my biometric screening for my insurance (last thing I always do, and then I can claim a $150 rewards card), and get them to look at my arm. And finalize plans for visiting Katie and my mom/family on break after the 11th (Nathan has dentist the 10th, Orthodontist the 11th). I don't really want to go over the weekend as I want to try and be back by his Friday therapy session tho it will be fine if he misses it. Also hotel costs are more expensive on the weekend. I will stay at Katies apartment, but cannot stay at my mom's or either brothers (dad smokes inside, I'm sensitive to it, get asthma symptoms and one brother lives in a tiny trailer w/ "cottages" (outdoor storage barn type things that they've converted into "bedroom/houses" for the kids since they are older) - and the other one has a small house with like 5 kids in it already. Nope no thanks.

[edit] Doctor only cost $20 :o I am certain I will get a bill later. My insurance is the kind where I have to pay the deductible first and then they'll pay...so... meh. But thats ok. It means I can make payments the way I need to when I get a bill. (I am so changing the insurance when open enrollment comes again soon - to one I had before where its a set amount for dr apt no matter what, even tho I do have a deductible) So she moved my arm all around, made it hurt worse, did an Xray - decided it was probably a nerve issue since the xray was fine. Is going to schedule me for some sort of nerve thingy (I forget what she said and the paper is in the car....). She upped my blood pressure medication and also prescribed me some pain relief and OMG I'm so happy to have that, its a VERY good one I had years ago when the DR thought I had rheumatoid arthritis, and it was fifths disease (hand/foot/mouth). This stuff WORKS very well! And she recommended I get an elbow strap (?) - anyway she said it compresses the nerve below the elbow and should help.

Oooh and in much more fun news, I went ahead and booked the hotel to stay in FL for 2 nights!! (Tuesday & Wed) to visit mom/brothers. I hope maybe I can move Nathans ortho apt to earlier in the day and we can get there earlier instead of very late. Then I'll stop at Katies on the way home and spend Thurs with her and be home for Nathans apt Friday. :)

Maybe a nerve block?

Glad it's probably 'just' a nerve thing, but eeeee they hurt so much! Hopefully the good meds will help :P

That sounds like a nice little vacation, Kat!

Alex and I went out for lunch today, endless shrimp :P Then grocery shopping, and we stopped for cider on the way home, to fill our cups up from the pumpkin patch.

No, I think it is something more like a study to find out what might be causing the issue first before a referral to an orthopedic doctor - the paper says "EMG/Nerve Conduction" I'm not really in LOADS of pain, more like, aches. Constant aches. I was in tears at the dr office when I had to move it around for the xray after she pushed and poked at it (I knew they would, but it HUUUUUURRRRTTTT)

I like popcorn shrimp, or breaded butterfly shrimp (like from Captain D's lol - tho O'Charleys used to have some panko butterfly shrimp that was delish! They now have buttermilk fried shrimp which is good too). But I don't like non-breaded shrimp :P

I'm going to the grocery store tomorrow. Frozen dinners tonight. After being at the dr from 845-1130 and then going to the pharmacy at 1230 for the pain med, I did not want to go anywhere else, and Nathan said "I can just have the pizza in the freezer" - so yep. There we go.

Frozen dinner is nice, sometimes! Especially after a long day!

Ugh, hopefully the study thing helps, and they find out what's causing it. Seriously, nerve pain is THE WORST. :(

Last night we had chicken bacon corn chowder. Super yummy!

Tonight... doesn't really count. But we're having lobster pasta with onions, green onions, tomatoes and asparagus in a roasted garlic wine sauce.

Which means that today.. before we go for Sunday dinner, we have to.. roast garlic, make lobster stock, and.. IDK, a lot of other things LOL. But it'll be so worth it!

Tomorrow we're having crab legs with garlicky green beans.

Basically, this weekend, I'm doing my best to decimate the ocean. Living my best life :P

Sounds good, tho it is not anything I would ever make!! And yes, you are trying to decimate the ocean this weekend!!! LOL

I ... didn't mean to ... but .... I .... stocked up the freezer. There was a lot of good sales on meat, and in the family pack size. Sooooooo, I now have about 10+ days worth of meals in the freezer. And it wasn't that expensive !! YAAAY! Of course, with only 2 people, "stocked up" still does not fill my freezer even half full LOL

And I decided to give pretty litter a try. They sell it in store now. Katie's been using it for her cat and she likes it. I just want less scooping, and it says you only have to scoop the poop. Its a little more expensive than what I usually buy, but if it lasts the same amount of time or longer, it'll be worth it. I'm a little leery tho - because my cats pee like mad - and one tends to pee against the side of the cat box - I couldn't find the extra big size I have already, so I got a regular size. I hope she doesn't pee all over the floor or wall by accident instead!! :P I still have the other cat box set up too - They are near each other but far enough apart I hope, and if it works, and they like it, I'll switch out and get rid of the big box/regular scoopable litter.

Oh and I'm going to watch Hocus Pocus tonight. I watched Friday. It was good, I enjoyed it! And I got hubby to buy Beetlejuice - because I thought I didn't have it, he was browsing movies in the sale bin and we were talking on the phone - LOL I was like, I looked at my halloween movies earlier and didn't see beetlejuice!! So he gets it and brings it over, and as I go to put it on the shelf with my other halloween movies - I see it - mixed in with other regular movies! :P Ooops. I usually watch Hocus Pocus, and the Little Vampire at Halloween. I also have Halloweentown, I & II that I sometimes watch. And Beetlejuice.

Oooh! Honestly, I'm not comfortable withOUT my freezer stocked up. It's crazy expensive, though.

I will say.. we're trying to do what I'm calling "shelf-tober". So basically, just using what we have at home, for all of October. Giving myself a $50 weekly grocery budget.. $9 of that is milk, so. :P And hopefully not spending even all $50! BUT. Alex and I already bought a pack of strip steaks when we were out Saturday. They were $12 off though! Which actually puts them in our budget :P

El, Iz and I watched Hocus Pocus 2 on Friday! I thought it was terrible, but in like.. a purposeful way? Kind of like the first one. When they were at the Walgreens though, that was my favorite part :P

Halloweentown is my favorite Halloween movie, though. I did buy Lily Curious George halloween thing on amazon though, because she was HEARTBROKEN they took it off netflix. That used to be Isabelles absolutely favorite too.. ofc it was. Halloween is in her SOUL. :P

Tonight we're having crab legs (actually out of the freezer!) and garlicky green beans! (ALSO from the freezer.. from the high of the summer :P)

Well I do prefer having more stocked up. But generally, I don't have the funds to stock extra meat and buy regular groceries and household stuff too. I usually buy enough for a week at a time. Unless I was stocked up majorly, $50 wouldn't last very long here. I generally spend close to $200 a week. Soda, water, energy drinks, snacks, breakfast food, can veg, rice, cheese, potatoes, sugar, koolaid, biscuits, dog food, cat food weekly. Then add paper towels, laundry soap, dish soap, bathroom supplies like toilet paper, body wash, shampoo conditioner...etc When I have to buy ALL of that stuff the same week, oooohh my it's pricey.

Nathan has been eating me out of house and home. 😝 Typical teenager. Snacks all the time. Never wants to tell me what he wants half the time so I get a couple different things. There are times I go shopping and look at what I bought and think, how did I spend so much? I bought so little!!!

We are stocked up majorly. But I think we only -maybe- spend $200 a week on groceries?

But I also only buy soda very rarely, and energy drinks never. And even though we obviously shower, we only go through shampoo and conditioner every month, maybeeeee? I didn't count cat and dog food in our grocery budget though. We do use two-three 16lb bags of cat food a week, and maybe a bag of dog food every two months. She basically eats the cat kibble, no matter what we do. :/

Thank you ! And as I always, I LOVE seeing your pictures!

Alex got me a FIONA THE HIPPO KISS and I am VERY EXCITED. And spoiled me with dinner and made me bread pudding, which I've wanted for a while.
