nope, that's Blade not me :P Thanks :D Sorn's not happy about the ears lol or the bunny :D
Niamh says that still counts :P 😇
hehe I can imagine he's already plotting his revenge :P although that cute bunny could actually be more of a dark bunny in disguise maybe? ;)

It sure feels like the cat hair multiplies many times over. facepalm I love his soft, long fur, but it is also a pain in the rear. lol
Strawberries are in season right now, so should be good. :D

interesting spelling of my name lol. Sorn says its a bunny. Enough said… lol
gobbles up all strawberries xd
LOL Sadly the strawberries on my plant are not ripe yet. But I might buy local fresh strawberries tomorrow when I go into town.

I can imagine long fur can be really satisfying to run your hands through (assuming he lets you do that!) but equally frustrating when it comes to cleaning ;) Although even budgie feathers seemed to end up in odd places (even found budgie seed in the bed at one point o.O)
I'm sure the bear that sits by my computer has been eating biscuits & getting crumbs under these keys o.O
ROFL not even a were-rabbit?

yes do eeeettt lol So today's been a pretty hellish and tough day for me. My doctor is out of town on a family emergency and the other doctor in the office isn't qualified to do many things. Well apparently he has a friend in Atlanta who came down (2 hour drive) to help out whilst he was still in Africa. So I got to see her. She was running behind because of an accident in Atlanta causing a traffic jam and arrived at 10.15 which was when she arrived as well 😔 So I had to wait forever to see her. They also had a difficult patient ahead of me which didn't help. Anyway, the nurse decided to tell the doctor that I always take off any wrapping that isn't a cast--a complete non-complyant patient. Whilst it is true I have a history of that, I've never done it for my foot during the surgery recovery. But even when i tried to defend myself, she laid into me so bad that I felt like a slug. Believe me, I'm extremely well aware of the problems being diabetic causes. She told me i had to do complete bed rest/no walking for the next two weeks to try to get this wound to heal. Then to insure I complied she put the cast on in a way that make it impossible for me to walk on the foot. So I'm forced to use my walker for everything. I was in a LOT of pain most of the day. my apt was at 10.30 but with all the delays and such I didn't leave until 1.30. I did my best to help put the groceries way with dad and my scooter then I laid on my bed for a short nap. I finally had to take tynol 3 at dinner time. Anyway that's been my day. back pain too because those chairs aren't comfortable and I already have back problems. So...there's my update. Another cast and scooter all the time which is hard and not sure how I'm gonna shower. -sighs- Next apt is 6th of July.
lol i think it was you :P Lol nope.
I've not eaten a biscuit at the computer for years.... probably the last one I had at the computer was before I got this keyboard :P
I could see Sorn joining forces with a Were-rabbit .... or maybe having a pet one ;)

hmmm... maybe sleep eating :D lol i'm not so sure. he'd rather like something more...vicious.
Any chance your doc would be back by that next appointment? I guess at least there's one who is qualified to to more things, but if that nurse was going to sneak on you to the other doc, then it would've been professional to do that before you went in so you didn't hear them say it! :K Hopefully the scooter will be really helpful with that though - how're you getting on with using that?
Alfred wants me to point out that Sorn wouldn't want a werewolf as a pet :P

thankfully yes. I look forward to seeing him. Right? She even did do that for another gent. Its. Ot only useful its needed. Well im doing well with it except that with the added use my left leg and both hips are super sore
Lol thats fine. Apparently sorn is content without any pets lol
at least he'll be back by then - I can imagine you're not going to be keen to see any of the others ever again!! o.O is there a way of putting in a complaint about that nurse? (over here there's a (free) organisation that solely deals with healthcare complaints, with the idea that it can be resolved through them) That's not helpful if it's making your leg and hips sore though :K I guess it's down to everything kind of being at a different angle to use it?
hehe I had a feeling that might be the case ;) I can't really imagine Sorn happily mucking out a cage each night 😇

It is very satisfying to rin your fingers through. Thankfully he loves pets too, most of the time anyways. He is a cat after all. lol We found feathers long after we had our last budgies, they really do get everywhere. :P
I am so sorry you had such a bad day. Not cool of the nurse to treat you like that. >_< You do your best with a difficult situation. I hope allowing the foot to rest more will help it heal. :hugs: I just got home from a doc visit myself. He looked utterly exhausted and ready for his vacation and had little time. But I am going to try some new meds. A bit nervous about it.

not like the cats that live in our street then - most of them don't seem too keen on human touch (least of all when their owners try picking them up!), although the cats will try and wind themselves around your feet :P

well I'm certainly not going to be pinning for her ;) I suppose there would be something but for a private practice it's most common, that i know of anyway, to talk to the doctor who employs her. I had thought of asking my doc when he comes back if I am really that bad of a patient. I mean, I know I have posed some challenges but to my knowledge I haven't been unreasonable and I have never undone my right leg once I had surgery.
Well it's everything to be honest. let's put it this way, using the scooter is easy--but you kick really rather than walk. That's not overly hard on its own. But what's added in this is that your knee on the scooter is balancing. So you're using muscles just to stand with one leg in knee cradle. Now, add in that you can't put your bum leg down on the ground-- Remember the fiberglass cast won't bend or move and is slippery on tile. Now think of how are you getting down onto the loo? You have to hop a round a bit... and without touching the bad leg to the ground and trying not to whack the loo, which by the way hurts like hell, you've got to stand up from the loo and get back on the scooter... say nothing of those tight turns and trying to wash your hands. Then have to get back onto the bed. Remember you can't bend the foot so you kinda have to "bounce" and climb around to the bed. Try it-- now imagine doing this all day. With the cast in the walking position you can at least rest the foot more comfortably when sitting with legs down. But not with this type. you are pretty much forced to have to elevate, which isn't easy when having a pee or getting around the house. And say sitting on the floor? Nope, forget it. Getting into the van? Challenging. Getting out of the van? Challenging.... not being able to have the foot down comfortably driving in the van? Miserable.... -sighs-
lol oh he wouldn't. Any pet of his would be free range. I mean he could use magic and elements to wash and dry it, but let's face it, that's not Sorn. LOL he'd rather just eat the pet and be done with it lmao. Mind you, he won't really say it but he does love/care about Zhah. But yeah he is a Ron--grumble and complain about Scabbers but would be sad (even if not showing it) if something happened to the little guy.
yeah. at the very least she really should've said it to the doc without me present. I try. I really do. -sighs- I hope so too. Read above--its exhausting like this. Are you nervous because of side effects? good luck to you <3
hopefully you can have a word with your doc when he gets back, without that nurse being in the room (or within earshot) squishes I do wonder if she just has a 'thing' against any patient who doesn't have insurance o.O
That sounds really really complicated! Have you got crutches as well, or is it just the scooter? You sound like you almost could do with what Gran has for the loo - it's a kind of framework that makes handles either side of the loo itself, so you can raise yourself up / lower yourself down easier.
ROFL now you mention it, I can see lots of Ron's traits in Sorn when it comes to pets ;)

I will ask to see him privately if this is still bothering me. He understands that everyone has their issues and sometimes its not really in their control if they do take things off. I apologised last time I came back for an adjustment on the cast and he said, don't worry. I don't get mad at having to adjust a cast. What would make me mad is you not saying anything and there's something wrong and your leg is falling off but you've said nothing. -shrugs- I don't think so. She was talking about the patient before me to another nurse and the doctor--she was a problem patient. That lady was loudly complaining about EVERYTHING from the way the cast fits to not being able to walk without a limp (duh lady it's a cast, it's not supposed to be 100% comfortable) and she's been in the office apparently, 4 other times trying to resolve the break. The same nurse has teased me (at least I thought it was teasing at the time) about saying to doc that I'll do whatever he wants but come back the next day. She did a funny limp and said I need it fixed-- but I am now wondering if she wasn't teasing. I'm trying to let it go, but being accused of something that is inaccurate isn't something I am very good with. If I'm wrong, I will take my lumps. I've always been that way. But if it's unjustified, now that doesn't sit well with me. Hell, I was even the bloody one who told my doctor that a cast would be better than the removable cast. That it would only be too tempting to make small walks and it would only hurt me if I didn't tell him. How is that bloody noncompliant? And I'm nothing like that problem patient they had before me.
No, no crutches. They wheeled me out in the wheelchair. I had mentioned I had a knee scooter. Maybe that wasn't wise, but I was trying to tell the doctor I've been doing anything I can to help heal. -shrugs- trying to defend myself. I struggle with crutches honestly. It's a huge struggle to try to swing/hop. And I'm not sure if I could get up out of the chairs with them... Oh now that sounds like a good thing. I should look and see if I can find something like that. It's a bit dangerous in the loo right now for me.
I was fully prepared to have to have the cast back on. But I wasn't prepared for an assault on my character or being put in a less manageable cast for two weeks. Both hurt in very different ways. And I'm going to be stuck largely in my bedroom so this is going to be a long two weeks. What's worse is I really need my new glasses so I can read/watch telly better. I'm having a hard time right now seeing the positive side.
LOL I don't think Sorn would be amused ;)
He sounds a really considerate doctor, especially with him preferring that people say if their cast is uncomfortable (especially if that could potentially cause more problems). That nurse really doesn't seem in the right job if she takes that much of a dislike to everyone!
That's a point with crutches - they don't seem the easiest of things to use unless you've had some proper guidance for the swing & hop. This is the kind of thing she has - link but there's probably cheaper ones out there that work just as well ;)

Honestly that nurse sounds like a bitch. You shouldn't be a nurse if you can't show empathy and treat people with respect. I am glad your doc seems to be nicer. I can see how that would be a difficult situation with mobility issues and the extra stress too. :hugs:
Yeah, mostly nervous about the side effects but decided to give it a try.
A lot of cats does not like to be picked up. Pusur is the same. They want the pets and attention to be on their own terms. ;) I always loved it when they rub up against you like that, so sweet. :D As long as they don't cause you to almost trip that is. :P

he really is and a nice guy :)
Well I know how to use crutches but its a lot of work and tiring.
We bought one today but its not going to work out. The frame is too narrow.
thats my thinking too :/ It's been hard the last couple of days but I'm hoping it'll get easier soon. Good luck! <3
