I have seen some amazing draik art. I just don't think I could ever get the wings and face to look okay. Poogles and kacheeks are a much easier shape to draw.

Needless to say I will never meet the standards for overlays etc on here. :P Not that I have ever tried drawing something off subeta.

No thanks, I love the temp we got here now. xD

and no doubt Sorn is still miffed, seeing as there's still no sign of him showing off some new items :P

I finally finished sewing the trousers I started in February (other than needing to hem them a little shorter than they currently are) :P and attempted to mend a bought t-shirt (the hem was falling down) but my sewing machine decided the fabric looked yummy, so it ate it (darn thing keeps ramming the fabric into the throat plate :K) so that ended up a messy kind of mend, but if I tuck the t-shirt in when I wear it, nobody will know ;)

admittedly I tended to draw draiks with one wing hidden behind the body, so there was less detail to worry with 😇 It helps that kacheeks and poogles share a similar head shape ;)

laughs I'd love to one day be able to draw an overlay that would get accepted on here, but I think that'd take a lot more practising than I currently have patience for :P

That is just smart thinking. 👼 :nods: kacheeks are poogles on two legs basically: I am sure the artists got a bit lazy there. lol

Hehe.. Even trying to learn photoshop or any program like that would do my head in really. Seems difficult.

you can almost imagine the artists meeting where they were told to come up with a 2-legged pet, and someone just doodled a poogle standing much like the UC msp one :P

I never bothered learning the details of using photoshop - I just kind of muddle my way through laughs

That is exactly how I imagine it happening. :P Even tho I am sure which came first the poogle or kacheek? I know both have been around for a long time and had some changes.

Learning by doing is the way to go anyways. :D

I actually haven't got a clue which one came first! Unless they cheated of course and released them both at the same time :P

nods as long as you don't get in such a muddle that you can't figure out what to do to resolve it ;)

I might have to try and find out now, just out of curiosity.

At least you can always google if you are stuck. :)

I can live with that. xD

looks like he had a great time ;) What's the mask you've used? I think I'll have to get the fluff out from the machine before I sew anything else - I'm still finding bits of blue fleece everywhere :P

If you find out, I'd love to know which one came first!

hehe that's got me out of some muddles before :P although you've got to make sure you're looking at the instructions for the right version (I've got older versions of photoshop, and of course they change the layout each time they made a new version :P)

I googled and found a list. It says that kacheeks are prehistoric, meaning they were released along the site! Poogles were released 14th July 2000. :D https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Kktm79YTye3x3fn9Qk_Jv3NiGbJGkLWqnvhj7klAWc0/edit

If you want to check this one I found on google.

Naturally, which only makes it more difficult when you are searching for tutorials!

Well apparently, we just didn't have enough "excitement" in April with Mum's fall and shoulder replacement and my foot surgeries that we need more -sighs-. This morning dad wakes me telling me he can't rouse mum. So I got up and went to see if he was, you know, overreacting. He wasn't. Mum was totally unresponsive. after 40 minutes of being unable to wake her we called 911. The fire brigade arrived first and we tested her sugar levels. It was 48. Those who are familiar with diabetic levels know this is a very dangerous level. You really don't want it below 60 and that's even pushing it. Normal level to shoot for is 100. Below is dangerous and risk of coma. When the ambulance arrived, about 10 minutes after they tested it again on their metre and it was 28!!! I was really terrified at this point. They started sugar water, but the iv popped out so, they put her on a bed with using a sheet for transfer and taking great care to not hurt her surgical shoulder. and got her into the ambulance where they got the iv to stay in. After a little while the female emt came to the door and told us she woke up. THANK GOD! her speech was slurred though so they worried about a stroke. Dad and I took my dog to the vet and boarded her for the day since we didn't know how long the hospital would take and I realistically can't care for her. Then by that time it's time for lunch, which means I missed breakfast (not good for a diabetic). After lunch Dad went to the hospital. She was already assigned a room but not there. i surmised they had taken her for a cat-scan to rule out a stroke. And mum and the nurse confirmed this when she came back. All blood work and scans came back with good results so what they think happened is that her pain med knocked her out just enough to make her body not realise she needed to wake and get sugar in her system and then by the time it was too low she couldn't wake. I'm so glad we called when we did as if we'd waited any longer it could have been worse. What we didn't know was mum started taking glipazide again. It's a time released diabetic medication. But it drops her sugars too low and she had stopped taking it for that reason. But she never told dad and I she resumed taking it. If she'd told me, I would have insisted on her checking her sugar, called 911 earlier and tried to talk her out of that medication. Thankfully she's seeing my doctor later this month and he can find some meds that work better for her. Anyway, they've admitted her to hosptail to at least check on her overnight and make sure it doesn't go too low again. I had to call a lady from my parents church that I didn't really know that well and ask for a ride to my foot doctor's appointment. If I missed it, I'd have to wait till Friday and I've been in a lot of pain and had trouble walking so I really didn't want to do that. Anyway, he's augmented my cast and treated the left foot again as well. Both feet aren't very happy but he's put me on an Nsaid with something to protect my stomach. I took it took it with dinner and the pain has calmed significantly. He said the reason for the high pain was because I can't take most anti-inflammatory because of being allergic to milk. Thankfully voltaren doesn't use milk and it also will help with the pain. So hopefully this will at least stop the extra painful days. Anyway it's been a nightmare of a day and I'm still trying to de-stress honestly.

Paddy, the mask is LOL yay fleece XD

that was a nifty bit of detective work :d I thought somewhere like JN would have it listed but I couldn't find any reference to when each species was created on there o.O

nods or when the online instruction manual is different to the one that came with your item, even though they're both listed as the same model number (that was what happened with our fridge freezer - the online manual shows a totally different temperature setting thing to ours) :P

I'd never have thought of trying a sheer mask on a HA, but it works perfectly :d Whoa, that's definitely not the kind of day you all needed! Hopefully your Mum's sugar levels have stabilised and it's not dipping too low (or going too high) squishes

That seems crazy that the anti-inflammatories have milk in them! But at least he's managed to find something that works, and hopefully then your feet will be a lot more comfortable :)

I love googling random things like that to figure out the answer. lol I bet it is due to my education. :P Was not difficult to find with a simpel search. I have not fact checked tho. :P

Can you imagine that being your job? writing instruction manuals for stuff like fridges? I would go bonkers with boredom surely. It is annoying when they are plain wrong, or just not clear about what you need to know at all.

That is a lot to deal with. :huggles: I hope both you and your mum is doing a bit better today. Glad your mum seem to be in good care and that your pain is managed a bit better too. Will keep you both in my thoughts. ❤

I think the worst instruction manuals are where they've used something like Google translate to change it from one language to another, but nobody has actually checked it makes sense.... but I can also see why they don't get real people to write out the instructions each time, as that would definitely be one of the most boring jobs in existence! ;)

loving your ha :) the mask was a gift but it does have a certain flare to it. thanks. I'm still reeling from it to be honest. so many things in America have milk in them :/ it's easier to cope with it in England with just skipping the E numbers. It took a ridiculously long time to find anything for me to have for dinners and lunches without milk :/ But yeah there's milk in many medications because its such a good binder. it really was. Thanks dear, we need all the good vibes we can get. I just want things to get back to normal

I was supposed to go to the movies with my cousin today to see the new fantastic beats movie, but it looks like she cant since her hubby is not feeling well. Probably not a bad thing really as I am not feeling too great today either with tummy cramps and lower back pain. Fun times.

I have used google translate a bit, and I found one of their biggest flaws is that it does not recognize that a lot of words have more than one meaning and that can give some dumb results sometimes. My friend used to work as a freelance content writer, and would write blog posts etc for different companies. Often on some really boring subjects. lol Would have made me want to snooze.

Thanks :d Niamh said the dog wanted to visit the beach so I couldn't argue with her :P Is there not a big thing over there of "free from" stuff like there is here then?

I tired using Google translate for the old Neo foreign language boards, but it didn't recognise any of the words they were posting! o.O

In Wales, the road signs are in Welsh and English. A company had emailed the council to ask for a translation into Welsh before they had the signs made up.... the sign they ended up with, translated to "I am currently out of the office" :P

I definitely wouldn't want to be a content writer unless I could pick the subjects I could write about!!

aww bummer. Hopefully you can go tomorrow or something. I'm sorry you're not feeling great. -hugs-

it's perfect :D not entirely sure what you mean. There are somethings labelled dairy free... but honestly a lot of products don't mention theirs no milk in it. I've done some vegan shopping for snack items and had to search nutrition labels, and allergy warnings to find things that didn't have milk it in for things that wasn't labelled vegan.

[edit] i did a search with free from dairy and that did yield results so I can look for other things if by the time we do another order I am still on this antibiotic

And speaking of perfect, I love your HA-less look today :D

Over here, the supermarkets have "free from" ranges (so free from dairy / nuts / gluten / egg) because there's so many people out there with allergies or intolerances to those things. But yeah if it's something that you wouldn't normally expect to not contain milk, it wouldn't be labelled as 'free from' so you'd still have to check the labels.
