Yeah, sounds like he's not willing to put in the work, so it's just a waste of your time and money. :(
They were pretty cute bags, honestly! I just hope that they actually use them, because I wasted a lot of vinyl letting the girls help weed :P
Letting the girls help weed? Huh? Not sure what you mean.
Uhhmm well his insurance is paying for it and he's on the state covered insurance,(meaning I don't actually pay anything for his insurance or any medical for him at all). but yea. I don't like to waste thier money or my time. Going to stick with it a little longer. I stayed in today and he kind of talked a little, as she would ask me a question then ask him the same one. Of course, that isn't going anywhere with anything either but if it gets him to start talking more.....I dunno [edit] Good Morning 645am Mexican lunch today, whatever that means :P Probably tacos and/or nachos but we shall see. Also it can't be delivered until after 11 am, soooooo not sure WHEN we will get to eat because PreK has lunch from 1040-1110 = and those last 5-10min are spent cleaning up the trash and getting the kids in line basically :P
Got the mailbox fixed last night, took Nathan about oh less than an hour after we got home to finish it, tho I had to remind him to go do it eyeroll I guess I could have just gone and tried myself but I suck at digging holes or anything requiring strength like that lol I mean, I'd eventually got it done, but it'd take me a LOT longer.
You have to 'weed' the vinyl, means taking all the pieces that don't belong there out, after you cut it. Because otherwise.. you'd just have a big square, or whatever, on your tote bag. :P
Yay! for the mailbox being fixed!
Ohh I see. I am sooo aggravated today. By just one specific child. Worse and worse all week. Trying my best to breathe and stay calm.... [Edit] At home. Lying on the couch. Trying to get motivated to pick up stuff around the house in general Just wanna be lazy. Cat purring at me lol
[edit] Friday, May 6 515pm So today was Honeybaked Ham sandwich lunch. (I had a turkey sandwich) and surprise surprise - we got lunch coverage today as well as yesterday meaning, we did not have to sit with the kids during lunch. So that was super nice. I knew we were getting it yesterday for the mexican lunch (even tho PreK ended up eating our lunch WITH our kids, IN our classroom because of the delivery time, after they had eaten, we adults were all starving!) So today getting another duty free lunch was nice :D And I got two gifts from two more kids - starbucks card from one, and a cute little bag and a bracelet from another. Then PTO did random name drawings for prizes, and I won another starbucks card. I don't drink Starbucks. Nathan is happy as a clam however hahaha HE likes starbucks drinks.
Oh and ONE of our butterflies hatched today, so the kids were all freaked out excited about that. One other looks like it will hatch this weekend, and possibly the rest of them will too. (we have 4 chrysalis' - we got 5 caterpillars, but one never grew, and I think it finally died - so 3 more chrysalis' about to hatch!)
Oooh, lunch duty coverage is awesome!
And I bet it's SO exciting when they hatch! I'd probably be just as excited as the kids :P
Morning or afternoon.
Been lurking for a week or so. Not knowing what to post.
Consider this a post.
Just got out from seeing doctor strange. Really goood film. Not sure why people are sayings it’s scary.. it’s dark but not as dark as the joker.
All my beanbags and plushies that I had in my vault are in corkingdales. Together with some stickers.
Hello lurker ;) I only need the Mortiking Skelly Plushie - which is almost impossible to get. I keep playing Grave Digger...but when I see the skeleton, I die before I get it uncovered. (the plushie is the prize for uncovering it during a game).
Little brother scared big brother a little bit hahaha. Not surprised. I warned him Nathan had little road experience. He proceeded to tell me "I know now, why dad didn't want to teach me how to drive" - and I about died laughing. I agree tho, it can be scary driving with someone who is learning. And it makes you nervous/upset when they do something they shouldn't...but it takes practice to do it right/well!!
[edit] May 8 8am Happy Mothers Day to those moms out there celebrating it today! :) I am going to leave in about an hour and go to the Renaissance Festival! Pics on facebook later!! :P
Happy mothers day, Kat! (And !) I love how you matched your HA to your plans for the day. :)
Alex and I ate pancakes for breakfast today before the girls woke up. We're making lunch at his parents house (caprese bruschetta, followed by tortellini with shrimp, tomatoes, spinach, red onion, and a shrimp stock/pesto sauce) for 17 (We also have hot dogs and mac and cheese :P).
Then we're just going to come home and Alex picked up steaks with caramelized shallots, fresh green beans with lots of garlic, and parsley fingerling potatoes. So basically.. all we're doing today is eating :P
Hey eating is nice! I'll be eating steak on a stake :P YUM!! Its my favorite RenFest food hahah and probably some candied/cinnamon almonds and umm I dunno what else. Pot roast for dinner, it'll cook in the crock pot all day while we are gone, then just quick cook some rice/veggies Waiting on daughter to come pick us up. We are carpooling in his mom's van.....
Yeaaaa I was sitting here earlier going, hey I think i have something in my wardrobe that is renaissance style... so i went and changed lol I'll be getting my hair done first thing when we get there. I always do it!! I LOVE having them do my hair up in some sort of braided style....and then its so kinky/curly when I take it down days later lol
Oooh, I can't wait to see pictures of your hair!
We decided to wait on my dinner until tomorrow :P Which is absolutely fine with me, it was my idea :P
I bought myself and the three girls season passes to the orchard/pumpkin patch for mothers day, Alex was like.. ok cool. I got you those :P
You got a forum point while making a post! Check out the shop here!
Happy Mother's Day, and Hope you've had an amazing day!!
I shall return tomorrow. :P

Thank you ladies. I had a great day. Haha at Alex. For crying out loud. He could at least pick something on his own.
[edit] Then again, gifts for mothers day are really supposed to be "from the kids" - although the dad usually gets them FOR the kids to give to mom. I got my own gifts, except for what Katie and Wesley got me :P My boys - well, they aren't the gift giving type so much. Sometimes, but usually not.
I do NOT want to go to work. I am still tired from yesterday and I woke up before 5am, tho I refuse to get out of bed til 545 when I got up to get a shower. Trying to gather up all the stuff I need to take today. BLah. Monday Mornings.
My kids didn't even say happy mothers day so :P Lily did send out a snapchat to her story with a picture of the two of us that SAID happy mothers day though so... at least there's that? :P
I had pancakes. It was all good!
It looked like a fun day though, Kat! How far away do you live from there?
Apparently I didn't want to get up, either.. fell back asleep after LIly got on the bus and woke Isabelle up with only 15 minutes to go. Poor kid! She got it done though, including eating her breakfast at home (she hates the school breakfasts). I, for one, am DEFINITELY ready for school to be over with! 15 days, including today. And the last day is a halfday! I'm just. Over it all. Rushing around all the time, so much school drama and hard stuff.
Though of course, it's always a SUPER busy month with school stuff! D had prom on Saturday, the two o fthem have their concerts this week and next week, Elly had one AP exam and has another, we have an end of the year music picnic, Lily is singing in the elementary chorus concert with them (and talking with them about joining the music programs next year!). And then just end of the year celebrations.. and graduation, for D! ... we hope, anyway
Hi lovely people! I can't remember when I last posted but I got my assignment submitted 2 hours before the deadline and am now on to the second one. I'm in a bit of a daze with it all, it takes over my life! I had a nice weekend though and got to celebrate my grandma's 90th birthday with all of our family.
It sounds like you have all been busy and ready for the school year to come to an end (me too 😆 )
Did you get your grade back yet, Kat? (sorry if you already said, I don't have the brain space to read back!)
Quentin is a little cow, she's only been giving me 1 amulet for the last few times I've done her quest. Dunno why it hates me so much! I posted about it on the bugs forum once and they just said it was working fine.
[edit] Just did Quentin, 1 amulet again! haha I hate her!
Yes, I got a 98 in Music and a 96 in History. June 1st I start new classes.
As long as you know the kids love you 😉 Also I live about a 50min drive from the faire location.
The highschool here usually does 3 half days the end of each term 🙄 this time they are doing 4. What the hell am I supposed to do for Nathan who is not registered for the bus, doesn't want to ride it anyway, whose dad may or may not be available to pick him up at 11 am and I have to work until 315???? Seriously? Why can't they do full days or we all have half days. Back when, Shane rose the bus home, Katie did too (they were both registered for the bus but I never did for Nathan as he hasn't ridden it since he started highschool) or was allowed to come over here for the other half of the day, but Nathan's not been allowed to do that because of COVID, tho this time he might be allowed if I ask since they've stopped almost all the COVID monitoring. But he probably wouldn't want to. He never was interested in the littles and doesn't enjyloy them like Katie did. Not that he doesn't like little kids, he just doesn't have the interest in being around them or being bothered by them. Katie always thought it was cute when they talked with her or asked questions.
ah congratulations, Kat!
4 half days does sound a bit strange!
Thanks. I'm quite pleased with myself lol
I just went and changed my English class from the online one, to the in person one, for fall semester....because I know the professor. And I finally decided I would like to have him be my teacher hahaha.
Get a little taste of in person class. It is only once a week after all. Most classes have you go 2-3 x a week.
[edit]
Gonna let those who aren't facebook friends see a little bit of my fun ;)

This is only a part of my rose collection, tho it is the biggest part ;)

Morning lovelies!
I was definitely not ready to start getting up early again yesterday. I barely did anything while I was off b/c it pretty much rained or drizzled every damn day. It was annoying, but I was glad that I had made the right choice to stay home. I was also sooo tired all the time and realized when it hit me over the weekend that I had been pms'in. The heart issue doesn't help, either.
Towels - yes, they are immediately hung up after drying off a clean body. Years ago when the kids were both here, there was a laundry mat that was literally blocks away so w/ the added clothes of 2 others, I definitely did laundry once a week, plus it was really close. Some years ago it moved out of the plaza and the closest one is near my work so I went less frequently and my youngest would take her clothes to her mamma's (her dad's mom) to have her do them. I've been working at home for quite some time now so I don't wear much other than pj's or a tank top and shorts. Undergarments and misc small items are hand washed. If I need to wear s/thing decent to go out, I'm out for maybe an hour or two and when I get home I immediately change back to my comfy wear so I've been able to keep the dirty clothes down but now I'm out of everything except the latest pj type stuff I found on a clearance rack at Walmart last week but my period showing up on Saturday knocked me down to where I could barely move for the last few days.
Trust me, I'm desperate to get everything washed but the sheer volume is quite daunting.
I agree w/ Mieke... love that you dressed up your avatar for the fair, Kat! I'll have to check out the pics on either my phone or after work. The site you have them on is blocked by our company's vpn, which I'm currently on.
Only my youngest wished me a happy mom's day. My oldest is being a serious pain in the arse.
[edit] 8:40 Finally got all the plants outside a couple hours ago and then drenched them with the hose b/c it's WAY easier and I let the cats out on the porch/deck for a couple hours so I didn't want to disturb them. Plus my lower back is killing me. Don't know what it is about my period but it just leaves me in the worst pain back there.

Heh. Strange, I swear I posted something yesterday after Taarna did....while I was at school. Maybe not :P
On another note. Today I get to turn in my schoolbooks and get money back YAAAY. I also looked up what books I'll need for summer semester, and I'm debating getting them, since I'll have the $100 credit, plus the money for returning....one new book is $125 and the other I THINK is $70 - the course title listed isn't the same as the one on my registration paper, but I do not see any other course it could possibly be (it is the computer one - registration paper says Intro to Computer Literacy, bookstore list says Computer Technology). I do not need the books until June 1 when class starts of course, but hey, why make another trip? :P
True - I didn't think of the fact that with only 1 person you really wouldn't end up with as many dirty clothes lol especially if you don't get out and about much - I do know in summer I tend to live in my PJ's and wear them day after day w/o washing them (or me) every day because I don't get sweaty or dirty or anything.....
