The people with large machines would start on visible road and keep moving debris and dirt until they clear the main road through the city. Which would help bring in other people to help with searching for survivors, bring in supplies and food. We were going to buy a house 2 years ago closer to younger son. First thing we told realtor, we want a house not in any flood plain. We looked at a regular map, and then since we are both prior military we looked a topographical maps that show the valleys, water ways and so on. Then we showed realtor the areas where we were interested in, and why. Realtor was shocked with our research. She told us, from now she will use topographical maps with potential home buyers.

We just had very heavy rain with flooding yesterday, city planners didnt think to add proper drainage across the city. Again, we checked maps and our house in on a high hill, so all water flows pass our house and down to lower laying areas.

Many private individuals, neighbors and farmers help with pumping out the water and clearing debris. The warehouses are filled with clothing and hygiene items and there are many donations. Donating money is also important. many have lost everything or a lot that cannot be replaced with donations in kind.

Oh I understood, but you check in daily and comment which is nice. But if you miss a couple of days we will worry, because its not your normal activity in the lair. Its amazing to see people come and help no questions, just there to help in any way they can. But yes financial donations are so important right now to all the survivors. But I hope the local government of the city starts to educate the people safety tips that they can do to keep themselves safe. Hopefully the government does something quickly to prevent it happening again, and helps to rebuild on higher grounds.

been having to use my phone, as my laptop's hard drive was fried. Hubs is fixing it, but it might be a few more days, as he is just too tired once he gets in at night. I’m so happy and relieved to say that her cancer screening was negative <3 she has a follow up appointment to see if her white count is still high in a few weeks. Still caring for all of my own, and, all of the feral cats in the neighborhood, gosh it’s hard, and time consuming job! Not to mention the expense! They deserve it though, they need love and care too!

On the migraine front..her hemiplegic migraines are cause for great fear as they are called ministrokes as you know..so she is off work to see how stress may help as thjey were getting worse..it is a 3 to 7 day recovery of sensations after each episode. She wears a medic bracelet so if needed someone knows whats going on..the symptoms are horrid and could be misconstrued Using injections and daily with Incedent pills too have helped but when she goes back to work..:(:( i wish i could win the lottery and have her NOT hsve to work..except like her etsy making things:). Yes Botox shots to the head are the next resort and i HOPE we needn't go there but i hear it helps the helpless.

Speaking of helpless i need a cold beer!! It has absolutley nothing to do with helplessness but it is only 3PM but i figure i get up so damn early it is actually later than that in my body clock so off for the helpless beer i go....LOVE YA MY FRIEND

My yard is annoying, I want to mow it. But lawn mower has other ideas, so its 1/3 done. Plus grown is saturated from heavy rains 3 days ago, so it needs to dry out some.
