...there will be a party here for Anna bday!!.she is planning it out has THEEEEE BEST playlist she got '70-'80 hahah we lol together seeing how many i knew song and lyrics and artist...i love music games like that :).. She thought about the outdoor movie projection set with a huge screen set up out there with the firepit going and 2 huge tents up to play drinking games in..she couldnt figure out the placement of projector in tario to where the seats to play the huge interactive games on the screen. till i said kick the sofa back and the whole huge living room is perfect. It was an AHA moment as we feel alright about all being vacinated and for a special day we can invite them IN hahaha..i DO feel ok about that group i know them all and they are all double vaccinated. Yet when i go out i wear my mask. shrugs..wishy washy or what??

Oh same here, you know their vaccinated which is a peace of mind. But go out in public its a crap shoot on whose vaccinated or not, people are ignoring social distancing which just makes me edgy. No restaurants for this girl, or the mall, or crowd related events like a concert. I take my hand sanitizer, when I use a door I open it from the top even the refrigerator case doors at stores, less hands are up that high and its a worthy challenge for my short stature. I even use sanitizer on my credit cards when I get done using them, yuck. The people wiping down shopping carts and price scanners are repeatedly using the same cloth, so gross. I bug the stuffing out of hubby, he can forget sometimes.

Hey there, I live in a little town nearby cologne. we are floodplain here. But not as bad as in other areas. In our lower-lying areas, the Sülz river has overflowed its banks and has destroyed many, many cellars and ground floors. Fortunately, my house has remained intact, it is a little higher. There are now many offers of help and donation opportunities to help those who have lost almost everything. I am grateful that I am not affected this time.

I also have problems with the forums. I have to log out and log in again every time to be able to read something. it's annoying :( the new.subeta link doesn't work for me, the pw is not accepted. :(

we will have to learn to live with the coronavirus. there will always be mutations and vaccinations will be inevitable in my opinion. But we will manage that too :) I am fully vaccinated and continue to wear my mask, but I am not as isolated as I was at the beginning. Vaccinated people can also become ill and infect others. That will become a normal risk. live every day as well and happily as you can, we will get through these dark times together. I hug you all ((hugs))

... i watch all day long what is being done in the flooded areas... many want to help, but are not allowed to... until now there is only the info that only money donations would help the affected people... i don't understand that, because basically such help fails because of the organization and it doesn't arrive or arrives too late... one should not drive into the area because the roads would be clogged... here are trucks full of donations that many urgently need and they must not bring anything? some have only their pajamas on and otherwise lost everything, what should they wait for? for the government to finish discussing? again?? i am really angry because you know that the helpfulness of friends, neighbors and people in general always works quickly and unbureaucratically and everything that must first be discussed and decided takes away the hope of those affected. ... the people have no clothes, no straw, no water. here is everything and can be distributed ... but no, it is argued who supervises the distribution of funds, who should get what ... when you hear something like that you do not know where to be ashamed ... ..............................

So glad to hear you are doing okay, and your home wasnt affected. I got some flooding from rain here yesterday, its the city planners fault when they planned on building they didnt put in proper drainage. But my house on up on a hill, so I dont worry all the water goes to lower land.

We have cases of vaccinated people getting the virus, thats why I have both vaccines and continue to wear my mask outside of the house. I go out and do my errands which in the beginning I didnt. But to many people are rushing to take off their masks if they ever wore them. I do understanding those with health issues, PTSD have difficulties with masking, I wore about us all.

I am happy to have video chatting so you can see your family and friends. Because people will say they are okay, so you dont worry. But a video in real time shows you everything, so do their faces. They can say their okay, but their facial expressions tell you everything/truth.

HUGS so glad your safe and okay, keep us updated on the flooding in your area. I looked at a picture of Cologne, and saw the beautiful Cologne cathedral. Back in 1983, I was stationed in Ulm. I loved the Ulmer Münster cathedral. European cathedrals have such beautiful structures. I wish I could have visited the Notre-Dame cathedral before it burned.

here we dont wait for the government people would start gathering items, and drive them over to the people. Especially the people from the country they hear people in need, take items and go take them to the people. Other people will just show up to start to clean the roads, cut down trees, and look for survivors. Some people have the machines to clean up with, so they take their machines and start cleaning.

... that's the problem... the people's machines are useless and you can't even get into the city and towns because everything is blocked off, they won't let anyone in... there was probably an early warning system, but its function and significance was not passed on to the citizens... the mud that has covered everything has dried and can't be removed without machines... the crops are broken what is still there can't be brought in without machines either... i know that e.g. the usa often has to deal with such weather catastrophes and has learned to deal with it... but we here in germany we don't know such dimensions... ( i will never understand how you can build cities in valleys, where every child knows that water always flows down... )

i hope they open the roads as soon as possible so that help can finally arrive...

My father has said the same thing! We've seen new housing areas being built and my father says that if flooding occurs the nearby shopping areas are gonna take on a lot of water because the water will be diverted there due to the housing development.
