Glad to see you are having fun! I love equipping my littler battle pets with gift of the forj scrolls and having them just tank everything haha.
I would save some tokens to make the pieces needed for the intricate helmet and mecha. I would also save some to have enough for parched baguettes and bona to mod your weapons with, unless you are ok with spending 300k per mod. Then you can convert x amount of tokens towards easy tokens to buy boosters.
As far as boosters go - it all depends how quickly you want to level up. You will gain a lot of exp through battling/farming and BQs and the early tiers will go by fairly quickly. However as you start to reach the mid tiers, the amount of stats you need until the next tier will go up by a lot. If you are ok with waiting, you can hoard all of your boosters until T13. Because T12 is such a big tier, it is also ok to use your boosters to get closer to T12 faster and then start hoarding in T12.
In terms of build - each build has it's positives and negatives. In general, pets with high health struggle less than pets with even builds since you have a bigger cushion to take damage in the long battles. High intel also always helps as long as you have the means to buy all the right scrolls. In the lower tiers, the best scrolls are way better than any weapon you can equip and you will continue to use them in the high tiers.

Stat cap is 35000, and tier 12 ends at 22001. There's a lot of room before then to shape your pet's build, so buying a lot of health to get an early advantage won't mess you up over the long term. If you feel like it, making a spreadsheet is useful for planning your builds.
fluffy So this pet has 800 more health than any other stat. That's not a huge gap, all things considered. It's tier 11, which is late game, but only has 8000 total stats. It's far from locked into this build since there's 14000 stats to go before tier 13.
There's no stat reset/refund here. You can use leaches to sap you stats, but they only sap two stats per leach, and cost ten medium tokens each.
Going off what said, there is a lot of flexibility in T12 and T13. You can also add more stats wherever you feel the need to boost. Adding health is always a safe bet because you won't be able to fully block opponent damage every turn and the higher your health, the more you will heal for from % healers. There is a healing cap on many of the endgame weapons, but the cap is 999 HP for most and you are no where near those kind of stats.
In terms of training time, I am assuming you are talking about the training center. The training center times increase by level. If you boost a stat, it just means you won't be able to train it with the other stats in the training center. eluded to this, but there's going to come a point where the training center is not beneficial because it gets expensive for a small amount of stats per day because the wait times and cost will increase. When most of your stats are coming from boosters and exp, the training center doesn't matter.
training times by the level stat:

A reset does kind of exist. You can buy leeches for medium tokens in the battle coliseum. Leeches always take away two of the corresponding stats. There are strength, defense, health and speed leeches so if you are unhappy with any of these core stats, you can always use your saved up tokens to buy leeches. Again, decisions like this don't come up until you are starting to focus on what you would like your end build to be. You will have a better idea of what end build you want once your pet is in T12 or early T13 when you've battled enough opponents to see what works and what doesn't work. You also have accumulated enough tokens by this time from battling and BQs to be able to save for leeches.
Yeah, I was implying the training centre becoming inefficient when I was referring to a stat soft cap, but I realised after my post that stat boosters and battle exp aren't bound by the same "stat can go up to 2.5 of level" rule that training is. Oopsie!
Good point on the "training fewer stats" part as well. It should balance out a lot of the extra levelling required. I'm surprised it slipped my mind, honestly. Another oopsie!
Given what I replied to and all the other stuff you two said, I'm no longer concerned about going for a specialised build. Thanks, guys!
P.S: I still wish there was an actual stat reset function so I could make meme builds for some of my pets waaaay down the line. Builds with insane amounts of speed, builds with no defences, builds with all the defences, etc.; all completely minmaxed. However, I don't see it being efficient in terms of time — micromanaging every single pet's level-up — or effective — I want my pets to have reasonable builds until I get at least one of them to T13 so they can help with grinding.
Has anyone ever suggested this to the devs? If so, did it get a response?

There really is no need to reset stats as you can use leeches if you only want one battle pet or just train up others so you can win more loot or get more use out of your upgraded armory that multiple pets can use. You also invest a lot of sP in gaining stats so to just resent everything on a pet would be a huge waste in funds. I would focus on your first pet for now so that you are happy with it and have at least one pet to participate in battle events with, Then every other battle pet you have is for your to experiment with or try a different build if you don't want to mess with your main pet.
I am actually doing this with my pets. I have 10 battle pets and each pet has a different build that I am playing with. One has no speed and high def, one has high speed, one has high strength and high health, one has high health and all other stats even, etc. Why am I doing this? Because I already have one pet capped I am happy with and I just enjoy experimenting with pets that can't beat the snot out of everything. By the time your pet is closed to cap, you will be able to beat every opponent as long as you have the right set and don't do anything wasteful, like have 20K speed. Each pet has their strengths and weaknesses and struggle with different opponents. In general what I have found is intel makes more of the difference since I have endgame scrolls. The more AP you have from intel, the more scrolls you can equip and scrolls fill the gaps in your weapon's defenses.
quote=Wesker resent everything on a pet would be a huge waste in funds. (...) One has no speed and high def, one has high speed, one has high strength and high health, one has high health and all other stats even, etc.[/quote] I meant a reset with a full refund so you can reallocate every point. A stat wipe with no refund would be mad! It'd save a lot of time and tokens if something like that existed, especially if wanting to go for a fully polarised build with no increases in one or more stats. It's definitely a very minor thing, however.
And yeah, intelligence is huge. It's fun how everything you build up to T13 is shared between pets other than the capacity to use scrolls. Scrolls themselves, though... they're there, they're usable by all your pets, and they break the early game and I love it are very useful.
:dmg:light: Please ping me. :dmg:light:Because there are several ways in which stats are gained and there are no records, refunding is not an option. Meme builds are still possible, but you must commit to them. And micromanaging a pet's build can be efficient depending on your goals.
It's worth mentioning this is not an MMO. There might be a meta build, we're not entirely sure, but aside from specific speed caps it's not important because at the end of the day we're not doing mythic raids. No one cares about your GW2Efficiency or Raider.io or whatever they use in FF. The stat cap is so high you'll just steamroll almost everything into the pavement except Red Diablonoid and Lukien.
What you might consider meme pets: PietyBoosterGuinea Pig There are at least a few all speed or all defense pets around, I just don't remember them off hand. Guinea Pig is just me being stupid and wasting resources for lols.
Oh yeah, no doubt this isn't WoW mythic raiding/dungeons or anything like that. I'm not trying to go meta. The minmaxing is purely on the basis of maximum meme.
Okay, Guinea's stat spread is hilarious and I love it.
:dmg:light: Please ping me. :dmg:light:As you said, scrolls are broken at low tiers. I haven't been able to convince myself to throw my stash of intelligence boosters at it yet, because 2k+ intelligence on what's probably a forever tier 4 is a bridge too far for me.
But, yeah, to reset a pet they would have to rethink how to handle it because it can't be a strait up experience refund. Just awarding 'stat points' to spend one for one on core stats would require a new system and UI to go with it. Staff are in the middle of a site redesign, so there's already a lot on their plate.
I wouldn't spend that much on a side pet either in those conditions. I can't imagine how much has been invested just on how much intelligence Guinea already has.
I am very curious as to how the site revamp will go. A lot of modern web design makes things so mobile friendly it comes to the detriment of PC users.
Regardless, yes, I will certainly wait until such a time before I think of suggesting a stat refund. Heck, there's a decent chance they'll come up with something like that all on their own if a revamp ever comes to the battle system. It's for a very minor thing in the grand scheme of things, anyway. I embrace the stat leechers whenever their time comes.

Hey, that new challenger looks pretty cool!
If I don't have much interest in the wearable, would it be worth getting the item just to unlock the opponent? I'd imagine not unless it has some particularly cool or valuable Challenger Loot, but I thought I'd ask for others' opinions. Maybe I'll be swayed!
:dmg:light: Please ping me. :dmg:light:I get all of the opponents just to have them, but this one won't be very profitable. (Maybe not even counting the loot and EXP times 25 pets)
