These adorable little faces!
for February30th
Your "weird" food preferences don't even seem that far out of the box to me xD I prefer chilled fruit and frozen chocolate as well. And I used to eat my steak well done, too. I hated it when you could still see rosy colour inside...
Salt in your lemonade is not my cup of tea though. I have major sweet tooth

Nah I get scared wayyyy too easily. Just yesterday, I almost sunk a boat with three other people on it thanks to my arachnophobia... And that's just me reacting to scary stuff in broad daylight with other people and there is rationally speaking not the slightest thread connected to it but my heart stops beating anyway and I will definitely start crying for no apparent reason... I hate myself for being that way but all rationality leaves my body when being faced with scary stuff.
I don't judge you for the savory oatmeal, I imagine it tasting quite nice actually (unlike the pineapple audacity you so brazenly call pizza...)
And yes, durian smells absolute aweful but it tastes soooo good :)
If there are any news on the Vitaliy front, I want to be the first to know ok? 😏 I'm totally supporting your little crush on nerdy Vitaliy 😍
Haha it's an open thread so everyone can read and comment on whatever they want :) I listened to Eisbrecher's songs now and a couple of them are actually really good but the song "Miststück" actually made me dislike them a bit. It means something like... the bad word you call women which actually refers to female dogs. Additionally, he even calls her worse names than that... I don't like it when people talk like that about women. Obviously I don't know what kinda guy he is but I hope he isn't a chauvinist. Would you happen to know anything about that? That's actually why I don't listen to most rappers.
Of course! I love your opinion on everything! Even when we don't see eye to eye on a topic (well I think up until now that was only the forbidden pizza issue, wasn't it? 😂 )
for amei
I gave Eisbrecher a listen and they've got s couple of really good songs :) "Menschenfresser" and "Die Hölle muss warten" were quite impressive! And I loved their
rock/metal cover of "Skandal im Sperrbezirk" as well :)
Whenever you feel like your self-esteem is taking a hit again, make sure to reach out ok? You can count on me :)
For Stardew
Oh really? Here, you can get pea milk in lots of the regular supermarket chains :)
Oh and I know the anchovies! I think I remember liking them for their spiciness if I recall correctly...

About the "weird" food: That Brazilian dish sounds suuuper delicious! I've never heard of it but would you happen to know a recipe for the vegetarian version with jackfruit? :)
Oh you intend on upcycling old clothes? I want to do the same but haven't had the chance yet... What do you want to do? I want to make a crop sweater out of a long one and a skirt out of a pair of jeans :)
For Beatrice
Hahah no doubt your fries cereal is waaaaay worse than my soggy cereal 😂 but since this is a place of love and acceptance, we will look past this outrageous habit of yours. 😂 😂 😂
I do the same and honestly, after a long night, nothing tastes better than a piece of cold pizza. Ideal hangover remedy xD
Oh I didn't know Curry ketchup was something local. The internet says it's only popular in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany and Denmark... It's basically ketchup with spices. The one by Hela is the beeeeest! So good 😍 you might find it in European shops in Australia. I know my sister found it in Canada as well :)

Thank you for sharing the sloth video with me. It significantly affected my mood in a positive manner. Their faces look like the cross of a lemur and a bat and their voice sounds like the cross of a lamb and a cow. Their cuteness however is unrivalled.
And just because the oat pieces are smaller, doesn't mean it's something different altogether xD
for Austria
Hahaha that applesauce sandwich sounds absolutely wild 😂 but I totally get the broccoli on pizza thing. I haven't had it but I love broccoli and since mushrooms taste amazing on pizza, why shouldn't broccoli? :) I'll try that soon! Thanks for the advice ;)
for Kitten
Welcome! And thanks for joining in :)
I wish, I knew what the character said on that new minion :/

Your DIY projects sound so inspiring and cool! If you send me a picture of your auntie's former coffee table I can tell you what I think would look better ( the changes in glass optics you were contemplating). Did you teach yourself (through YT, Pinterest, etc.) all the necessary skills to do all these DIY projects?
Duuuuude! Like I get the love for spicy ( I always at all times have a little bottle of the extra spicy sriracha with me) but spicy ice cream and coffe? Hell to the NO! D: 😂

Thank you! I'm glad to be here! Usually the Jiangshi has a paper talisman from the necromancer that brought them back but Idk if it's a random spell or the name of the necromancer.

Oh nooo, an eight-legged stowaway! Glad you didn't actually sink the boat. XD Don't feel bad though, I love spiders and they still freak me out in enclosed spaces too. Can't be helped.
So would you feel better about it if I didn't call it "pizza" then? Is that the problem? Pineapple and onion pie? Open-face pineapple and onion sandwich on focaccia? Is that better? You eat durian, I don't have to make excuses for what I do with my pineapple, a perfectly normal and inoffensive fruit
I did very cautiously try the durian before we buried it...it tasted just as bad to me as it smelled, but at that point I really couldn't differentiate the odor from the taste. Smell is such a big part of the flavor of anything and WOW is that an overpowering smell.
There isn't going to be any news, sorry to disappoint. XD I had another opportunity to talk to him as he was working late, so it was just us there, and I could have come up with a perfectly valid work-related reason to go bother him but I won't do it. Not only have I already learned my lesson about relationships, he's probably not available and there's no way he'd be interested in having anything to do with me anyway. He's just another file in the nerdcrush vault, and that is fine lol.
I can't say I know much about Alexx's personal life but I would suggest a couple things regarding the song: firstly, the singer/narrator of any song is almost always taking on a persona other than their own, acting out a fictional role, so lyrics should rarely be taken as an actual reflection of the character of the singer (otherwise, oh boy, you want to talk about problematic things in Rammstein's songs? Cuz we would be here all day lol, but I deeply believe Till is a decent guy who would never do the really twisted stuff he sings about...this is common among all bands, it's just performance art, like I wouldn't judge an actor's personal character based on a movie role either) and second, did you watch the video? Because it seems to me like the story being told is that of a failed relationship in which the woman is actually being kind of obnoxious. Either or both parties in a relationship can be at fault and it's only natural to disparage someone you're angry with when you have such passionate feelings toward them. It's not a commentary on their entire sex, but many insults in many languages are gendered for some reason and those are the words we have at our disposal when we're pissed off. I've called my ex some not-nice things and he's done the same to me lol...it's human nature and a common experience so it makes for a relatable song. I think it's just an angry break-up anthem. shrug
We'll see if you still love my opinions now. :D lol
Today's question:
My personal answer: I have never:
I haven't done/experienced any of the things you mentioned except for wearing contact lenses. :O
Two other things I can think of now that I haven't done are drinking alcohol (that's common where I live though) and going to a friend's place.
I'm over the age of 30 and I haven't driven a car yet o.o
I've done a decent amount of the things on your list! Actually I've done everything But high five never broken a bone & never gotten a fake tan, rejoice for we are natural!
Fly on a plane Ride on a boat Binge watch I prefer not to focus on shortcomings, I've done plenty of uncommon things.
There are other things...not mission priorities.
Nothing excites me anymore, its safe to say I've done few common things.
I have never:
Been on a plane Gotten a tan Been to a concert Tried chili
I feel like there are so many more, but that's all I can think of right now lol.
Woah that’s a lot of things! I think I’ve done all of those! 😳 Hmm common things I’ve never done: -Understood football/followed a full game -Never did a sport in HS or college

Haha, your list is also fairly relevant to me. Another thing I've never done that is applicable to this season is celebrate Halloween by Trick or Treating/attending a party. Halloween isn't really a thing here and I would be a bit unnerved if children showed up on my doorstep asking for candy.
I'll keep my eye out for curry ketchup! Look forward to having a new condiment for chips
I've never smoked a cigarette (or anything else for that matter), broken a bone, worn contact lenses. Never gotten a fake tan, nor will I ever lol. I've driven a car, but never got my full license.
I have never been to the USA mainland (but for touching earth for changing planes), only to Hawaii.

Which common thing have you never experienced? I've never seen a Baseball/Basketball/Football/Soccer Game I've never watched Orange Is The New Black I've never seen/read Twilight or Fifty Shades of Grey (and never will) I've never gotten a fake tan (I don't understand their purpose) I've never traveled out of the country (this will hopefully not be the case come summer) I've never played Candy Crush

I'll definitely send you a picture of that table, thank you! Must of what I've done I have learned myself via youtube/Pinterest/etc, but for delicate or big projects I find someone to teach/help me. Like getting my Korean Mama (my mom's BF) to help with reupholstering some chairs my cats shredded to pieces and I will definitely be bribing my uncle with food so he's on hand when I get to the project on my list that requires me to cut out part of a wall.
Hot Sauce & Ice Cream is the greatest thing ever! But I get it's not for everyone.
Today's question:
My personal answer: I don't really watch scary movies since I am the biggest scaredy cat in the history of humankind, but I started "It' (the new one) and had to turn it off because tears were already welling up inside my eyes in the first couple of minutes and I knew it would only go downhill from there so I guess this could be considered the scariest I've ever started 😂
Lake Placid
Only because the opening 15 mimute scene gave me nightmares for months...
The scariest movie I've ever seen:
I absolutely love a good horror movie!!!!!!!! It's actually very hard for me to be scared now that I'm older. I watch them with the same eyes I would and adventure film, thrilled by the expectation of what will happen next.
But when I was a child I was almost traumatized by The Grudge, I used to have a lot of nightmares that Sayako was out to get me and I got really scared of taking stairs (I honestly still don't like it).

Sadly I haven't found an english recipe for the vegetarian version, but I've found a link for the original recipe, with chicken meat:
https://www.thespruceeats.com/coxinha-brazilian-chicken-croquettes-3029668
You can use this same recipe as a base, replacing the chicken for jackfruit. The only tricky detail is that you have to find green jackfruit and then cook them in the oven in aluminium paper, the same way you would cook a turkey for example (it takes around 3 or 4 hours). When it's finished, you shred it and season the same way you would do the chicken. If you ever do it, tell me what you think!!! I'll love to know!!
And about the upcycling old clothes: Your ideas sound very good! Do you know how to sew? My idea was to take some basic plain shirts and draw or paint a unique stamp. Some of my friends started doing this and I found it very creative, a nice way to have clothes that literally no one else has and that show your personality! But I still have to buy fabric paint because I don't want it to wash away haha
I love scary movies! I feel like I am not very good at picking them though, and I feel like I pick ones that are really lame or ones that are probably considered more "thrillers". I can't think of one that I have watched that has really scared me so much that I couldn't sleep or anything like that.
I love spooky stuff, but I haven't watched any real horror movies in a long time because I'm too scared to be scared. ^^; Blair Witch Project, The Ring and The Grudge all scared the hell out of me when I watched them years ago, though!
The Blob from 1986, it frightened me enough to have never seen it again. It has sparked years of nightmares, that only stopped when I began taking my schizophrenia treatment seriously. No dreams are better than horrible things in my sleep.
