avocadoes for sure, lmao! I love them on toast for breakfast, adding them to salads, and making guacamole,,, they always run out so fast in my household ;0;
Mine is probably sweet tea. I drink a lot of it lol
I try not to buy it too much because it's expensive but Califia cold brew. I usually get the medium roast and it's soooo good. I just add a bit of hazelnut flavoured almond creamer and a tiny bit of sugar and it's the most amazing iced coffee. ❤
Other than that, socks. So many of mine are getting holey and I'm sad. :(
Foodwise, it'd be bread, cereal, and whole milk. Other things would be ear buds, work boots, and rechargeable batteries.
I also take care of multiple cars, so maintenance has its steady flow of worn out parts and changed fluids.
Today's question: Have you ever had a paranormal/unexplained experience? (If not, would you like to?)
My answer
I've seen a UFO. It looked similar to a satellite but as I watched it move across the sky, it appeared to make a sharp 90° turn without changing speed. I think there must be a perfectly good explanation for what I saw; I don't believe it was an alien craft. But it certainly didn't move like anything I've seen in the sky before.
My weirdest experience was when some unseen force threw a rock at me. Here's the setup: I had just helped my friend move and she gave me a bunch of her stuff she didn't want to haul around; this included three garnet crystals and some sort of Jesus and Friends bracelet. I'm afraid I don't know who all the figures depicted on the beads are; I'm not religious, but I'll take anything for free and I thought it was kind of charmingly creepy. Anyway, I got home and took these things out of my pocket and set them on my desk in front of my monitor with the crystals inside the bracelet. Here's a picture of these items the way I had them arranged on my desk. At some point a little later, I was sitting at my desk chair but turned to my left to talk to my dog, so I had my whole body turned perpendicular to my desk and it was out of my sight. Suddenly, one of the crystals pelted me in the back. It would have had to jump up over the bracelet encircling it, fly a couple feet through the air, and somehow hit me on a spot that was higher than its placement on the desk. So I mean, it didn't just roll off of there. And it hit me pretty hard. This all happened in my bedroom and no one else lived in my house at the time. My only pet at the time was my dog and she was accounted for, not close enough to the desk to disturb anything. I don't believe in ghosts but I have a real hard time explaining this one. I've since kept the bracelet inside a latched trinket box and the crystals are in a glass-top case with more of my rock collection. I have no idea what happened but I am keeping all those things separated and contained, just in case. XD
The only thing I can think of is one time, some years ago, my ex and I were looking around at local houses for sale. One place was fairly nice, though I kept getting an odd feeling as we toured through it. The last place we looked was the basement. As soon as the door opened I was overcome by a terrible feeling. There was something bad, bad, BAD at the bottom of those stairs. The feeling only got worse as we went down. I took a quick look at the basement (dirt floor, one tiny window, washer/dryer in the corner) but I was almost in tears and nearly having a panic attack, I needed to get OUT. I almost ran back up the stairs and out of the house.
In the end my ex decided to make his mother's house into a duplex, and we broke up not long after. I actually think about that house a fair amount, wondering wtf went on there and if the people who ultimately did end up buying it ever had any experiences like ghosts or finding a dead body in that basement or something...
When I was five or six, I remember playing with this other little girl in the little play area that they had a McDonalds/Burger King. I had never met her before, but she was really nice and we got along really well. I was really shy, so it was hard for me to make friends, but we really hit it off.
We were playing in one of the top tunnels and I remember her mom screaming at her that she needed to get down right now because they were leaving. I remember the little girl looking down and softly whispering "bye" to me. I left a little while later.
That night, I was in bed sleeping. Me and my brother shared a room and had bunkbeds. I was sleeping in the top bunk when I felt something staring at me. I woke up and looked down and there was the little girl I was playing with dressed in all white and glowing. I covered my head with my blankets and rubbed my eyes really hard, but she was still there when I looked again. She never did or said anything, just stared at me. I was terrified and didn't know what to do. I closed my eyes again and when I opened them she was gone.
I honestly think her mother did something to her. Just the way she yelled at her was terrifying.
Today's question: Do you wear jewelry?
My answer
Not very often, usually only as part of a costume. Once in a rare while I wear a necklace with a dorky pendant of some sort, like a crystal or a little rocketship or just a nice assortment of hex nuts. I used to have my ears pierced but I wore earrings so infrequently that they closed up.
I don't really because I only have a few pieces and most were from my ex. Gonna get myself something once I get some more money. :)
I used to wear a lot more jewelry (necklaces and earrings), but I don't anymore. The holes in my ears closed (I'd like to get them repierced at some point) and I lost all my necklaces (long story). Plus most jewelry would get ruined at my work and I never go out. ^_^;
Do you wear jewelry?
Nope, not really into jewelry. They get caught on things and irritate my skin.
Very rarely I wear tiny earrings! Aside from that every other year I wear a small necklace, sometimes a little key necklace (but like once in 1 year lol)
Today's question: Do you wear jewelry? Other than my wedding ring, I wear rough amber bead necklaces, and a Norwegian pewter gripping beast pendant pretty much daily. Sadly the covid masks get caught on earrings, so I don't wear them now, but I have silver and amber knotwork ones that I love.
Today's question: Have you ever been on stage in front of an audience?
My answer
When I was in like 1st grade, I was in a school play. I was supposed to be some invisible character. I wore a sign that said "INVISIBLE" on it and had no lines, I just...walked across the stage, "invisibly". Oh and I participated in spelling bees in front of the whole school and everyone's parents too, those were terrifying.
Yes, when I was given my first reading assignment for my congregation.
Yes, most of the time with the choir in high school. There were over 30 of us but I was a short first soprano so I was right in front! Another time I wrote this stupid poem and had to read it in front of an assembly of 9th graders (I think I was in 10th grade? or maybe 11th) for World AIDS Day. And if we're going really far back, in 3rd grade I did the beat box for some acting troupe that came to our school... still don't know how shy, quiet little me got chosen to do that....
