I also just got to Level 20 in the BQs for the first time! I don't even know I managed it, I got such a lucky win against Jollyjaw along the way!

Been able to consistently reach lvl20 battle quest now ever since receiving the tips and tricks you guys offered here on battle chat, thanks again, everyone!

Is it possible to go any higher at this point? My pet is at tier7 at the moment.

Unless you spend some sP on boosters, use your EXP, do Quentin's quest for amulets and then get lucky with the Mage, continue to do your BQs before you know it you're battle pet will be T12. We've been where you are right now. We'll cheer you on!!! Or you drop serious dough on weapons. But save that for when you get to the higher tiers.

not consistently. There are a few opponents you might get lucky with, especially if you have enough AP for a lot of freezing scrolls and can chain freeze them, but you're going to need more stats. T8 opens up more weapon options to play with.

I'll do my best! I've been doing Battle and Quentin Quest every day after you guys explained their greatness to me! I'll take your advice and save up for higher-tier weapons instead of splurging on the current level :)

I see, I guess I just have to patient for now, I'm currently using Sonar Scream and that took a lot of the AP space, I hope to replace it eventually with freezing scrolls, but it's been helping me a lot at the current tier so I probably need to be saving up till the time comes...

we all struggle with patience :) in the meantime read more books to your guy, get that AP up ready.

Next month is Morostide and hopefully Nightlady will come out to play, which means more Shriek of Despair scrolls in circulation - you definitely want to buy at least one, more if you can afford it, though your pet won't quite be strong enough to win any from her directly; it's the best freezing scroll available (that and Strong Stomp, but that's a Gelatin War achievement prize and there aren't many around).

Strong Stomp is 5th win loot for Gelatin Stomper not an achievement prize, unless I’m mistaken. So you can get more.

I think it's too late, the pirates leave October 1st, right? I wish they would have told us earlier if we weren't getting them this year. I don't care about being overwhelmed by so many opponents. The more the merrier!

It's possible they'll say the pirates ran out of stock (thus shop closes) but will hang around another week or two so Angrybeard, Babette, Bloodhungry, and Brunhilde can have a little bit of family time (so challengers come out to blow off steam) or something. But, eh, I might have liked a heads up too.

I want the Islanders to come out and play.

That would be a good lore explanation. I do think that they would have told us if they weren't doing the pirate challengers this year, and if they're really not, I'm sure someone will mention it in the feedback forums as an example of a lack of communication. But hopefully they're just delayed and they'll extend the challengers past the end of the holiday with some lore reason like yours or similar. I'll be surprised if there's no mention of it today since someone made a post in the question forums about it, but we also still have yet to get the monthly quest shop items so they might do that first.

I think the reason you don't see many strong stomps for sale is because they are the best freezing scrolls you can get if your pet has over 6k health.

Well damn. I blame this on Subetalodge, there's no stat info on Strong Stomp. Luckily I hoard everything and just chucked mine in my scroll library even though I didn't investigate it at all.

What an exciting day! Got a new freezing scroll and didn't even have to shell out sP for it. Can't beat that.

Yeah, the fact that we haven't heard anything about the pirates either way yet gives me a bit of hope that maybe we'll get them after the anniversary challengers are gone, but I guess we'll see.

I could understand wanting to have them separated because they brought back so many throwback challengers for the anniversary this year, we got a lot more than we usually do at once.

Hopefully there's still a chance! But it will still be a lot of back to back battling, since we should be getting the Morostide challengers just a few weeks from now also lol. ;~;
