So many battles left, so little time... I need to get motivated...

I came here to ask if there was a definite answer on the pirates. That answer seemed unclear, it was not a no but it was not a yes? confused much lol

Amber basically said in the SB that they weren't doing them this year, apparently they don't do them every year and didn't feel the need to warn us because of that, apparently she would have answered if we asked but, like, some of us might not want to annoy the staff with questions like those?

I really don't want to be salty because I'm not much of a battler but other people who are have been asking here and not heard anything for days.

I’m disappointed that info was put in the SB. I never use it so I would have never known :/ And, as someone else pointed out, the info on there is temporary and doesn’t last long.

I don't even remember the last time we didn't have the pirates available to battle, I guess it's been a few years? I think it still would have been nice to mention it, since we were specifically told that we weren't getting the boppers this year. So we were told about one but not the other? IDK

I mean, I'm not as upset that we didn't get them this year since we got plenty of other challengers for the anniversary, but yeah it would have been nice to have it mentioned in a news post or a staff post somewhere on the forums. I never use the shoutbox either lol, so I'm not going to see anything staff says in there.

the last time we didn't get pirates was, iirc, during bad omens plot. and we were told straight off that there'd be no pirates. i would've liked to have known at the start, rather than spend the whole time waiting patiently for something that wasn't going to happen. :|

Hello all. Happy Keel Haulitday

I'm trying to work my way back into more battling so I've been tackling the event challengers. I seem to be completely stuck with Cozcoatl. I've tried lots of different things and can't seem to get enough light/water/wind defense with sufficent attack to get to five wins. 's really helpful guide says this challenger is T10+ but Tos has just reached T11 and is still stuck on her 3rd win with 28 losses. I must be doing something wrong but can't seem to figure out what.

Any help/suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Thinking battlers wouldn't be bothered by not knowing if/when challengers they almost always get for their specific holiday is.... quite an oversight

I asked on the news post and Amber was vague about it still might happen someday on the high seas. Lol. I can wait till next year. NOT.

We should have the Morostide challengers to look forward to anyway, I'm hoping to finally get Rouland's achievement this year. :)

Is Rouland that hard? I thought maybe I could have a shot at beating him a few times but judging by the size of your pet and weapons...mine’s gonna get slaughtered if he gives you trouble xD

Ha well, some of those weapons were acquired within the past year or so. I did manage to beat him 5 times last year, and that was my first time really taking him on.

Looking at the guides for him again, he does a little bit of everything, so he's one of those that's tough to defend against completely. I think he also has weapons that can heal a decent amount per turn. Chain freezing him helps if you can manage it. But yeah, from what I can remember last year he can be pretty tough. I suppose it makes sense considering how nice the weapon is that you get from his achievement lol.

Like , I am having trouble with Cozcoatl—at low t10 I've managed ties but no wins. What sets are successful people using?

I got 10 wins on Cozcoatl with my mid-T11. I believe I used Malhuili + Blessed Trident of the Banished One + Triple Threat Scroll

I can adjust the recommendation to T11 though, if getting 5 wins with a T10 isn't possible.

I just shelled out for the Soma Tablets so I'm excited to see how they add to my set.

Does anyone know if the Bobbleheads are likely to be rereleased at some point? Or do they ever come back through the CS Hustler or anything like that? It seems like the RMK and the Trident are two huge staples for most battlers around here!

We've been requesting them a lot lately over here: Items to put back into circulation, so hopefully they'll be back in the Cash Shop soon! If I had to pick one though, I would get the Trident over the Knocker.
