:nods: With normal use there is no way that the squares wont stay together the way I joined them. :) Its still a bit of work to join them together like that tho. Not sure its faster than sewing or anything. Probably not. :P
That is impressive! I got such poor sense of direction, which is not helpful when I am somewhere new. lol Reminds me of when I was in London and needed directions to Surrey Quay.. I didnt know how to pronounce Quay apparantly, since the people didnt quite understand at first, had to show them the adress on my phone. lol Turned out I pronunced it totally wrong! Found out only when they said the name after. :P

dad did that. It cost $110 :/ Better than a new car but less. thanks me too lol. Should go fine though. It's just a scan
that's really good. We had to spend $110 on a new battery :( It's tomorrow and I'm going to speak with the doc. And i better get that damn scan
That is expensive. >_< hopefully it will be a while until it needs anything new!
Fingers crossed. :) I bet you want to be done with the appontments and whatnot sooner rather than later.
Spent the day with my mum here. We went for a lil walk and made ourselves dinner. :)

(I was certain I'd replied here - obviously I just dreamt that!)
it probably isn't faster, but if they were hand sewn and the stitches broke, then it'd take even longer to repair them in the future! :P
A lot of place names over here are really odd to pronounce when you see them written down (and hard to spell when you know how to say them - even the locals tend to get one particular street name wrong when they write it down!).
Yowch, that's pricey! Although I have a feeling that's possibly about the same as I had to pay for my car battery a couple of years ago.

I would be worried about that too! So much work goes into a blanket, you want it to be secure. nods:
I guess I shouldnt feel too embarrased then. lol Totally had to look up how to spell Quay. :P They must have known I was a tourist tho. :)
Gotta love it when Pusur licks my hand as I type. The weirdo. lol
Just got home from lunch and a couple of errands with my dad. Was nice. :)

it's a bit like when I make a small cuddly bear or anything like that - I always try and go over my stitches a few times to make sure any hand-sewn parts are really firmly attached, even if it's not going to be heading to a child! ;)
There's a village a few miles from here that everyone pronounces differently - if the emphasis is on the first two letters than you really are a local, if when you say it the emphasis is on the last three letters, then you're not a local at all (I normally say it 'wrong' just to annoy Mum 😇 ) :P

You do so well with your sewing projects. :) I am impressed at all the nice stuff you gals make. :) Especially eyes and other small parts are important to attach properly if you are gonna give it to a small child.
LOL! That does sound like the perfect small way to drive someone nuts. 👼

I finally got the rest of my sewing order (this bit was delayed because they couldn't get it in from the supplier), so next week I can get my shirt UFO finished - that was going to be a trial run before I cut into my 'fancy' fabric, but Mum was quite taken with the fabric and the shape of the shirt, so this trial run one will actually end up being hers once it's finished laughs It's a fiddly bit on the sleeves to come next, which is also why I'd been putting off working on it 😊
nods if it's a really small child then I'd avoid sewing any toys for them at all! But for ones that are old enough to not be chewing their soft toys, I just use safety eyes - in theory they should be attached so firmly that they'll never come apart ;)
😇

I was thinking about $50. So pricey :( Cute ha today :D
LOL cute :D sounds like another nice :D
hopefully it'll last a nice long time though - was there a guarantee with it? (mine came with a 3 year guarantee, but because my car doesn't travel the minimum number of miles in a year, the guarantee is void anyway)
Thanks :d I wanted to try the new foreground - I did have the ears on Niamh as well, but they broke the HA :K

Awesome when a trial run ends up being such a big success. :D Hopefully the next one will go even more smoothly now that you have tested the pattern. :)
I worried be concerned if it was baby too! :) At a certain age they usually stop chewing and things and putting everything in their mouths tho and it gets a bit easier when it comes to toys. :)
Doc appointment today.. didnt go as well as I hoped.. Oh well. :) I am gonna look into things and ask him more specifically next time. :nods: Hope you are well and healing. :)

I just hope the sleeves on the trial run shirt actually work and I don't sew them wrong by mistake laughs
nods once they are more likely to play with their toys and not try eating them, then I'm a lot happier sewing toys for them ;) I did make a reindeer for K's first Christmas (that was an exception to my rule!), but I made that from a new fleece blanket, and made some eyes from felt that I stitched in place rather than having safety eyes, so I knew it wouldn't be quite so potentially problematic.

I am sure you can make it work. :D :nods:
With stiched eyes it should be safe for everyone. :D I bet K loved getting stuffed animals from you. :D I have only ever made a couple of cats- one orange and white one that looks like Pusur and one black that looks like Salem. ;) It was an unexptected amount of work. Having to knit all the individual pieces and then having to sew them all together. The pattern I used you had to knit 4 legs, head etc and then you sew them all into one cat. lol One of the patterns you sent me actually. Was fun, but took longer than I thought it would!

I don't think so. Dad bought it at an auto store and they installed it. Aw sorry about the ears -snugs- IT looked awesome though :)
aww I'm sorry -snugs-
I'm well and healing yes.
Glad to hear that. :) Have to tackle some housechores.. and hopefully some time and energy for some zelda after. xD

stitched eyes take a lot longer to sew on, but they are definitely safer ;) Yeah, I will admit I really got annoyed with having to finish each piece the sew it into shape, before sewing it onto the main body - why can't they make them so more of it is knitted together?! :P My favourite toy sewing pattern at the moment is a polar bear one - it's done differently to any of the other bear patterns I've got, as everything can be machine sewn together apart from the small hand sewn seam on the back where it gets turned the right way around and stuffed :D
^^ that's my latest bear made from that pattern - it's made from rainbow stripey fleece, so in theory each bear I make from that, will look totally different :D
at least they installed it, so you didn't have to faff with that ;) I'll try the ears again tomorrow, as they seem to work on the item hover now at least :D

good luck with both :D I washed my bedding today. Still needa put it back together LOL.
Yeah lol Dad wasn't keen on having to do it if they didn't. And he'd had to pay extra for disposal so this worked better LOL they took it for free. Good luck :D
that's a very good point on the disposal fee, an also the hassle of having to take it to wherever it'd need to be disposed too ;)

That sure would save a lot of time, I reckon such a pattern would not be easy to make tho. lol I might try to make a new one of the one I made to look like Pusur, as I am not entirely happy with how it turned out. I am def. glad I learned to read english knit and crochet patterns (with checking with youtube/google for some things), gives me a lot more patterns to choose from. ;)
Aww, your colourful polar bear looks really sweet. :D Are you keeping it yourself, or will it be a gift? :D
Fun times to be had. xD Just got home from dinner at mums.. watching soccer now. Its at my hometown stadium, but of course I dont get to go. :P At least the season is going on as normal. with a super limited amount of people that gets to see the match in person. At least I can watch it on my telly.
