I'm glad I convinced you to hatch your eggs! I've been in here proselytizing about the joys of hatching eggs and how all hatchlings are good hatchlings, but apparently the best argument I've made for it occurred while I was complaining about what I got. X'D

Going in and playing with the genes on these two I got from you has really opened my eyes about the genes out there. I tend to have a lot of the same genes on my dragons and I definitely think that will be changing soon and I will have a bigger variety in my lair :3

Honestly, I like rocks even more than sugar and spice; they are the most important ingredient. :P Unfortunately, I couldn't find a tert gene that went well with the rest of it though so I had to fall back on Spines for her too, but it's ok, at least they don't look out of place to me or anything. I actually wish Spines were just a little more prominent.

I find that I mostly choose Baldwin genes, partly because they just always seem to work well for me, and partly because I know I can make them without spending a fortune. I would use so much more Starmap/Constellation, Metallic/Alloy and Circuit if they weren't gem genes. Like all of my dergs would be space robots and that would be ok with me.

Bahahaha! I can't wait to clear out some dragons so I can make room for NOCTURNESSSS! MUAHAHAHAHAHA! grins evilly I actually really love the spines gene :O Better than a lot of them. Some of them just really aren't for me, sadly D:

I'm still working on leveling up in Baldwin, so I can't make too much there just yet D: I'm a Level 8 only a few points away from 9.

I like Spines too, but would really like it more if it was more visible...it's such a minor addition that sometimes it's hard to even tell it's there and then it feels like a waste of a gene. Sometimes it's just the perfect little accent though.

I'm level 18 with Baldwin...there are some genes I need that I still can't make either but I'm trying to get there as fast as I can!

Oh, there are new genes: Fans for Gaolers and Underbelly for Banescales. Even more exciting, they fixed Metallic/Alloy for Banescales...they're properly shiny now!

I agree, I wouldn't mind if it was more like the Banescale porcupine gene to be honest :O

Baldwin seems to go to Level 24, that's the highest level needed for items listed at the cauldron anyway. So it's not as bad as gathering at least haha

Saving up seems impossible on FR XD Would probably be easier if I did my 75k a day more often. I've been slacking DX That and stop spending what treasure I get LOL!

I get my 75k every day and even then it's impossible to keep up! I'm happy about all the new content all the time but I feel like prices there for everything are too high considering the daily limit and the slow rate at which treasure accumulates (the rewards you get from the trivia game, common chests and bonding with familiars is downright piddly and almost insulting). I guess I could make more if I wanted to get really into exalting/selling fodder but meh, it's hard to make room to even do that when lair space is so expensive. It all comes down to prioritizing things and never getting everything you want, which I know is part of making a game "interesting" but it can be frustrating too.

I agree with you on that 100%. Especially the amount of treasure you get from your familiars. It's a joke, is what it is. Hopefully one day they will up it. It seems like they want people to focus on exalting dragons to get treasure. Which is cool and all, but I mean, even then you don't get much treasure. Even if they are leveled up. Agreed, lair space is hard to come by unless you want to spend loads of treasure DX And then there's the problem of the AH. Such a pain to put things up for sale. It's a great site/game but they definitely have a few things they need to improve on.

So I hatched one of my eggs today, because I got some time and exalted a few XD Andddddddd I'm not sure how I feel about it just yet. I think I need to play around with it a little bit more in the workshop LOL! I hope the next ones I get had some better colors D: I mean, it definitely could be worse. It wasn't a huge disappointment XD

EDIT: I'm very quickly falling in love with it - You're so right, you can pretty much work with any dragon colors if you find the right genes <3 I can see myself buying more 1st gen. dragons to gene up myself in the future <3

Hm, it's an unusual color palette, but I kinda really like it! I agree, it's an awesome site but it needs some adjustment. I get a strong feeling that there's only one "right" way to play: you must exalt dragons, you must battle in the coli, and you must get good at Glimmer and Gloom. You don't like the idea of sending your babies away forever? Unacceptable, dom is everything. You don't like grinding for hours to smash innocent forest creatures? Too bad, it's the only way to really get anywhere in the game. You'd rather play mahjong? Ok, here's a pittance of treasure, thanks for playing, now you can either keep doing this for hours or get good at the one game that pays out reasonably well. I'm pretty ok with grinding in the coli and playing G&G but I think it would be much better if the game was more adaptable to other styles of play. I expect they will work on that eventually though...it's still kind of new, I suppose, and they probably don't want to introduce any huge changes that would suddenly unbalance the game.

Man, I love mahjong though and I really wish it made sense to play it but with the lower reward for the time investment it's just not as efficient, and I love efficiency more. If we could just get Tubular Tiles back on here someday, that would be excellent.
