I have some and 100% of the time, if it's not in a shop, I'm not asking someone about it if I see it on their "I own this WL" (??? how annoying is that) incase it's secretly a private and I'm suddenly on someone's DO NOT SELL TO THIS PERSON list because I had no idea that [Adjective adjective] of the [adjective noun] wig was private.

I'm the same way. I grab a CW occasionally if I have extra CSC, but only from a shop. Doing anything more than that is so overwhelming and hard to understand, especially concerning 'privates'. I'm not going to risk somebody being mad and confrontational, so all I feel comfortable doing is just getting something from a shop.

In my opinion, the shoutbox is little more than a pointless source of petty drama. The site would probably be better off without it.

The debate forums were also a source of drama, but at least they sometimes produced interesting discussions. I kind of miss them.

There should be more masculine/nonbinary/non-gendery wearables. (I know they have to cater to the largest market. That's why this is an unpopular opinion; I like unpopular things.) Something that always makes me sad is when an item promises to be something super (IMO) cool but then it just turns out to be another dress, tights, heels or long-hair wig. E.g. all those space items from a while ago: et al., I wish those were just straightforward space backgrounds instead of fashion statements, but I suppose that's not "creative" enough.

I definitely agree with wanting there to be more male/nonbinary/neutral clothing items. I'm not much for overtly feminine clothes (maybe it's because I'm just not overtly feminine, and I'd rather dress my HA in clothes I would wear); I find more freedom with clothing geared towards male/nonbinary styles.

I actually like the more narrative style the recent Morostide plot was in; I'm usually into plots more for the story than the activities that we have to do.

I also prefer gorier/more creative zombie strains for Survival over cutesy stuff.

I like the shoutbox because I can get help for questions slightly quicker than on the forums. I've also made quite a few friends in the shoutbox. The Warador is an okay pet IMO, best one is Angel!

I agree that maybe we should slow down on new species until others have gotten their colors. New species are nice but I only tend to get them once a color I like comes out for them. Usually Angel but sometimes it can be other colors (check my profile! 😆).

That sounds crazy about the CWs! I personally like the CW backgrounds but that's it. I don't find CWs that big of a deal.

like sure things got heated quite a lot but at the same time like, it was contained drama? people who absolutely have to discuss politics and whatnot on a pet site could do so there and not bother the rest of us lmao

I realised that the Zentu doesn't have that many redraw colours either. So that's another pet that could do with some.

I think it would be better if we had more new pet colours being released in twos or threes rather than one at a time like recently, at least when it comes to colours that are only released during specific seasons or holidays. We haven't had more than one colour released at the same time since last Fireside with the Reborn Blob and Zasaba. We only got 2 Glacier pets all Winter, no Angelic pets, and 1 Graveyard pet this Survival (I'm not sure if Graveyard pets are released during Morostide as well or not). I know the artists might be busy, but I think it would be better to wait longer for three or four pets available in a season/holiday exclusive colour than to only get one or two and have to wait a whole year for more.

I can't stand battling or training my pet(s). I started training so I could try out battling. Didn't like it that well but kept training thinking that would get me into it better. Still would battle once in awhile.

Now I'm kind of "stuck". I really need to upgrade my weapons as I'm pretty sure there are a few harder challengers I could beat (In fact I see users with lower pets beating the ones I can't). I haven't because I don't want to spend all that sp on something that I still can't stand. I've actually quit training my pets because I started to see it as a waste of sp.

I don't really hate battling, but I agree that it does take a lot of time and effort, and you have to be very dedicated. Also, people have told me that it involves loads of grinding when training becomes ineffective. But I still think that even with that, it could take years for my strongest pet to stand a chance against the harder challengers.

I think this is an unpopular opinion. I'm beginning to think the whole Minion Zoo is now nothing but a dead cause, and we should just go back to putting them in a gallery. So many players made suggestions for the Minion Zoo, including making achievements for it.

But it's been largely ignored, and I feel they've completely abandoned it. It especially pissed me off when they gave the Zookeeper title to those stupid miserable set of books instead of the Minion zoo like a lot of users suggested. There are plenty of achievements for Books, now where are the achievements for the Minion Zoo? Or was this whole thing just a crock? If this whole thing is deader than a doornail and staff have no intentions of doing anything with the Zoo, then I wish they would post at least in site update to let everyone know.

The other unpopular opinion, how many years are the Pirate V Islander prices going to continue to remain at those insane prices? I get they wanted to target those multibillionaires at the time, but are a lot of them even still around? I can't recall the last time I even visited the Antique shop. No chance of ever having prices slashed for special holidays? I guess not. I'm not holding breath that staff will change either one.

my probably super unpopular opinion is i dont think we deserve half the stuff thats on subeta, since theres a very vocal minority that screams whenever staff does anything, regardless if the lag has gotten better. i feel like because of these people we dont deserve the tea hut or the minion zoo because people are so impatient and rude about a feature to the site that isnt QoL (wwhich i think should be priority) but even then others spit in staffs face when theres minor hiccups.

i think people should remember back to the days where the site would go down for hours, daily, and look where we are now. gifthorse in the mouth kind of deal. theres only a small amount of staff on subeta and demand on them is so strong, theyre regular folkk who needs breaks but they get ripped to shreds if one thing goes wrong.

Apart from echoing my boy 's sentiments about the staff, I've got a hot topic opinion of my own, regarding CWs.

I think all CWs should have been made direct-to-shop with infinite batches right from the start. No limited batches allowed, no private CWs, none of it.

Why?

Because quite frankly I feel like the current atmosphere surrounding CWs, the CW market and a so on, is at best confusing and inaccessible, and at worst, downright toxic. There's so many cliques, so much petty drama, so many weird unwritten rules and exclusionary attitudes. CWs started off as a cool way to get custom items for your human avatar, but because of the batch system and the allowance of "private" CWs, its become more about items as status symbols rather than actual wearables.

There are so many recolours, so many items that look similar to other items, so many trend chasers, and so, so often where I'll be looking through the Wardrobe and see some cool new CW only to discover that it was some 5 batch private exclusive group-ping only thing where only the very select members of some clique of people who I've never even heard of got a chance at getting it and it has a "no selling or trading" clause attached to it, or something similar.

I know its far too established now for this to ever change. I've long ago accepted that the whole CW subculture that exists on this site is too deeply entrenched by this point. And I myself own a few of those "ultra rare exclusive" CWs that very few other users own, so I can understand the appeal of that. But I can't help but feel the site's general atmosphere and reputation would be better if CWs had been always accessible to everybody all the time right from the start.

I know this opinion would probably get me lynched in some CW circles, and it's for that reason (among some others) that I avoid the CW market as a whole these days.

How many people who are complaining have actually experienced that? I remember the site being rough during events and there were the cloudflare errors (maybe twoish years ago?) but I was never around when the site was down for hours. I've been around long enough to see that the site is a lot more stable around holidays now, but people who have only been around for two or three years? They may not have much of a baseline to compare to.

even if they arent an oldie (11 years) like me, even in the past year the site has gotten quicker and events have been smoother, imo. it might be because i'm not on at the peak times bc i'm +12 subeta time, but its just that minority that seems to ruin it for everyone.
