~ is a pretty good starter scroll.
is also good and might be cheaper to make at the Shrine if you check the prices for the ingredients listed on SubetaLodge.
Ultimately, you want to upgrade to because it is one of the best infinite use scrolls around. It has high healing, attack, and defense, which is the perfect combo in a scroll.
~For defense, and are both really good defensive scrolls.
~For freezing, and have a low chance to freeze, but also have some attack and defense and are infinite use.
For scrolls with a high chance to freeze like , those are once per battle, but almost guarantee that your opponent will be frozen on the next turn. That's also why they cost so much.
~A lot of battlers also like (ingredients) because it has strong fire defense, has a chance to freeze, and doesn't take up too much AP.
I'm not too familiar with the other cheaper scrolls around the site, but I can look around and figure out which ones are the best if you need suggestions.
Ah, and there is also The Complete Scroll List.
As for what I personally own, everything I mentioned plus others that were battle loot/prizes that I don't really use :P
Battling gets very expensive if you want to be one of the best, but it's so worth it.
I remember pining desperately after these two, back when I thought I was gonna be hot stuff in the arena one day. I'm not really concerned about AP cost (my battler is also my book collection), but you suggested a few I haven't really considered - def. going to take a closer look at all of them, thank you so much for the advice!
I've been on a tonne of scroll advice/guide/tutorial threads, trying to anything that works better than just spamming that BRS every round but I think that might just be a decent scroll (is it?) that I lucked into early and haven't grown into yet. It just seems like I must be doing it wrong, just letting BRS chew every turn.
... lor I'm so bad at Subeta. XD
It's not a bad scroll, it's just lacking a heal on it that many battlers prefer. If you like it, then keep using it :D
I don't think there is a right or wrong way to battle, maybe a more efficient way, but I've seen people have success with alternate strategies that don't fall in line with what everyone else is doing.
I also think battling has an innate social aspect to it though. Guides list and explain things, but strategy comes from experience and talking to other battlers. You will always find out things you hadn't thought of before by talking to them :P
Thank you! You are a gem and we're lucky to have you. ❤️
Aww, you're very sweet! I just enjoy battling and give out advice about it as much as I can :P
I need to get some sleep, but I hope you have a great day!
If I remember correctly, you're the one that wanted tips to help your sister kick bad habits of keeping too much stuff.
Good tips. For mementos, those that you're not super emotionally attached to you can take digital pictures of to help reduce clutter (and having to clean as much). Less stuff = easier to clean. Organize & hide clutter so it's out of reach of pets/kids and visually less chaotic... but also organize the hidden clutter to help easily find things.
Overall aim for less stress by finding things faster and being able to appreciate more what you have rather than the amount you have. Quality over quantity.
Something that's "free" never truly is. It takes up space, it might need to be cleaned/repaired/etc. Needing larger rooms, more rooms, bigger aparts/houses costs more money to keep the "stuff".
What kind of area one lives in also makes a difference. Easy access to stores means you can reduce the number of supplies since things will usually go on sale every few months. Living further away with not a lot of store options can lead to keeping more supplies since you don't know when the next sale will occur... but even then plan and anticipate when you'll run out and grab more before you're out.
Important, don't expect old habits to easily change. Patience is key. You can give a nudge in helping out (especially if one is not sure where to start... discouraging for the person living in it, easier when helping another) however, the biggest thing is that the person must want to change otherwise they'll fall back in old habits... whatever space you help them gain will be "space for more stuff" and the cycle will continue. Reduce & recycle/donate are key. Avoid the reuse eventually but haven't gotten around to it or "in case I need it" excuses... that builds clutter.
Hope tips help ;)
thank you for the scrolls advice! That Fatal Fire one is incredibly sP-cheap for 75 :block🔥 and 75 :block:dark: and 24 attack as well. I'm in love with the Singed Stuffing which I recently acquired: 4% healing and 9-13 damage every turn is just great.

, , What helped me to learn to declutter was moving a lot in the past 4 years XD. I've moved 3 times, and by the third, I just started tossing things.
Things that I asked myself, and my boyfriend,; "Have you seen me wear this in the past year?" "When was the last time I used this item?" "Who gave this to me, did I buy it myself, or does it hold any value to me sentimentally?" "Does this thing have multiple uses, or is it one use only?" "Will this be able to be stored easily?" "Is this something I can pass on to another person, or is it personal use only?" "HAS THIS THING EXPIRED?" *I buy a LOT of bath and beauty products, and a bunch always expire...
E:OOOOH, Alexander's book cover is for Masquerade!

I was running low on sP recently, so I made the decision to sell off one of my old valuables. I am now richer than I ever have been before (in terms of on-hand sP), and yet... "You are the 1,520th richest user on Subeta." My god. How much money does spot 1000 have, let alone 1?! [edit] Looks like # 1 has 52bil sP. Heh. Yep. Well on my way...
Additionally...
Ask , who is sitting at 300th or something?
well i still have quite a bit to go to get to 1st "You currently have 1,333,963,562 sP! You are the 379th richest user on Subeta."
that is still impressive I am still in the 3,000s lol
are you after that spot? o.O makes me curious who is 1 and how much they have lol
yea i'm trying to get to the 1st i will make sure to let you know if i ever get there XD
I think you meant to ping :P
Though, it is ironic that she and I have virtually the same rank! You are the 1,518th richest user on Subeta.
I had lunch with somebody I met on Subeta today. And it's not [user=Mage-of-Space].
oh my you are so right! My apologies haha I am just so use to pinging you lately lol whoops!
Very curious as to how that came about haha
Edit:
I have actually friended someone on facebook I met on here. We realized we were literally just two hours from each other lol
I have no idea what they'd even do for collateral but I've seen threads here to pool sP for that achievement. Two people would only need half that 52bn (each) to score the achievement and each share would go down the more people were in on it.
Haha, it's okay!
That's awesome :D I've had online friends send me things in the mail, but I've never met any in person.
My friend was trying to put together a group of people last year to go for the achievement. I'm not sure if she succeeded, but I was too poor to be invited to participate 😂 I think they were just doing it based on trust, not collat.
How we met? I think it was during the Snowman making competition thing and I mentioned how I lived in South-Western Ontario (a lot of Ontario's population can be found there so it's not horribly special or anything) but she mentioned living close to a more specific landmark.
And I knew what she was talking about. :P So we met up a couple of times since then.
I've met two people from the internet. Though, one person came from Texas and came to visit me in Canada.
