FAQ
What is a Spell/Scroll?
Spells and scrolls are the same thing. The common ones can be created in the Sacred Lands, here. Scrolls are used in battle to aid you, acting like a third weapon on top of the other two you can choose.
What is an Alchemy Point (AP)? An Alchemy Point is a kind of stat which dictates how many spells you can equip. You receive 1 AP for every 16th Intelligence point. To cash in AP you need to read a book, or purchase INT from the Mystic Spindles shop.
Where do I put the scrolls once I have them? In 2015 we finally got the Scroll Library, so add them to your library and then create sets for your pets. The sets will show up on the weapon selection page, and your default set will be available automatically if you click "battle with defaults" in the Coliseum.
How can I tell what a scroll does without using it? You can refer to this guide, or you can see the scrolls stats on its item description if you own the scroll.
Do any scrolls go away forever? No, there are currently no scrolls that are single use, however some are usable once only per battle (OPB).
I saw someone say something about making this scroll, but I cant see it in the Secluded Shrine, why is this? The viewing and creating of scrolls are based upon your pets AP, please refer to the list of scrolls from the Secluded Shrine and their levels.
Which is the best scroll? Each has its own uses and advantages against certain opponents.
Which is the cheapest scroll? Another question I can't answer, the price on the ingredients change from time to time, so the answer to that question changes over time. Generally, low level scrolls sell for very little sP in user shops.
Um... my battler has ___ AP, But i still cant see the ___ scroll, whats going on? In the Secluded Shrine, the viewing of the scrolls are based on your active pets AP, so make your battler active to make scrolls!
How much Intelligence should I have? As much as possible. Cramming in a few extra high AP scrolls can be very useful.

What is an Alchemy Point? An Alchemy Point is a stat that dictates which, and how many spells you can equip.
I think changing that would make it clearer. Would also be cool to see the "best" or "recommended" scrolls for each kind of purpose like damage, healing, blocking. Like you do on your site for each tier of weapons. Having a list of cheap ones for beginners would be nice as well, I imagine it's quite daunting scrolling through a huge list to find the perfect scroll you want and finding out it costs 400m.
I think it should also be mentioned that psycho smasher and shriek of despair now only negative heal for 3%. Spacial abyss only negative heals for 5% now.

Done. I can list them all according to purpose, but recommendation will be left out. This was always kinda neutral and I think it should mostly stay neutral. Sorting, yes. Telling you which 3 scrolls are the only ones you'll ever need - no.
That said, MrCool has a recommended scroll section in the new weapon guide. I'm waiting on Kel, but that guide is done where it can be done.

Yeah, I added in the ones I've used before, but I'll look the others up.
i know of two : winter spirit has 5% chance to freeze and gelaspell has 9% chance to freeze.

You've listed Terra Focujin as a 8 AP scroll in your high to low listing and a 20+ AP Level 5 scroll in the Secluded Shrine listing. Is there a reason for that, or is it an error?

It's not an error. You pet needs 20 AP to be able to make it, but the scroll itself only takes up 8 AP.

I have noted Gelaspell with 20-27 Chance to freeze. From like ages old info. I'm using them a lot and that frequency still seems likely. Anybody know, that this is one of those tweaked down?
There's just no way Gelaspell has above a 10% freeze chance. I get 4-6% normally during tests.
It's from 2012 so I don't think it has changed at all. The only good thing about it, freeze wise, is that it's unlimited.
Has an official percentage been given for gelaspell? I think its freeze rate is somewhere between 10-15%. That is what my tests lead me to believe at least.
