Oh goodness, that's a beautiful castle/fort! Are you in Europe? My family lived there for a few years (dad was in the Air Force) and we traveled a lot visiting the towns and castles near by.
Just home, thinking of you! I sent good thoughts over all day! <3
Yes, I am in Germany. Border to the Netherlands, Ruhr area. It´s a nice starting point for all kind of excursions. We did a lot to the Netherlands last year and now are looking in a more east direction, Sauerland and such. I assume you lived in the middle of Germany, then?
Your time to choose a prize out of the gallery on page 62. ^-^ 🎁

We were able to visit Holland a few times while we lived there, such a beautiful area and the tulips are lovely to look at. My dad was stationed at Hahn Air Base from 86-91 and we were close to Koblenz, so more on the west part of Germany. We visited France and Luxembourg also. My mom had lived in Germany as a kid, her dad was in the Army and they were in Ausburg.
That´s beautiful areas. We would love to visit the south, too, yet that´s too long a distance for a day trip and we won´t let the cats live for a day or so alone in the house. We always take them with us when we have longer vacations.

Oh may I please choose the Cheerful Harvest Apple Plushie? Thank youu :D
Oh, thank you! You didn't have to send it XD I just thought of you when I saw it the other day, haha.
Thanks! Yeah, it did make sense once I saw it.
delicious! :D
How was the castle? ❤
Sent!

It was nice yet not as big and beautiful as the one we visited last time. However, because we had some time left and the weather was really hot, we visited a limestone cave afterwards. Some pics from the old burg (= castlefort). Sadly, you could only visit the courtyard and some rooms and hallways and the big tower. I love it when they have some passageways high above so you can climb around and circle the castle. This one had it, too, yet it was old and broken and not allowed to access it.
From above (not made by me yet gives a good overview):
Usual items inside, china, knight stuff like armors and chain mails and figurines:
They have a cute adventure elevator, though. It has an adventure tunnel with all kind of simulations and stories going on, projections, audios and such. And we found a great icecream parlor afterwards, LOL, with homemade stracciatella icecream. Then it got so hot that we decided for the limestone cave. It was not that big like the one I know from visits in Austria yet it has some wonderful views:
And for the kids, they have a dino museum:
All in all, it was a wonderful day. Hubby decided to take another day off yesterday because the weather was so lovely and we visited one of the big garden parcs here, going to post some pics in the next post.

Sorry I took so long. I forgot my laptop at a client's house yesterday. Veta Lake Care Notes would be my choice. hugs

I love love love your pictures!! :o :o Reminds me of this Japanese garden like place we visited while we're in Canada... think it was on the west coast :) After a walk we got to have ice cream 😋 I'd go there again if I remember the name of the garden but sadly I've forgotten it xDD it's like more than 10 years ago too so haha
Oh wow all those pictures are beautiful! All those plants and the cave and the architecture ❤️
Sending! And yes, gardens are the best, I would love to visit much more, too! ^-^
Thank you, I hope to post many more pics in the next months! <3
