hugs Thank you for asking you are so sweet. I forgot to give an update. My dog, Kodiak, is doing a lot better. His belly is losing all the red rashes and swelling, so that is really a relief. He is eating normally now and not retching all the time too. He has a cough now though which worries me that he picked up something at the vet. It is either that or they were not very kind to his throat when they put the tracheae tube down to intubate him and now his throat hurts.

I know after my recent jaw joint replacement surgery (14 weeks ago!) my throat was sensitive and my vocal chords were stressed/hurt. It took about 10 days for everything to start to feel better in there. I could talk but it was not my normal volume or range of speaking voice for about 2 weeks post surgery. That was an vast improvement form my first jaw surgery (in 2009) where they hurt my vocal chords so much so that I could not even talk and barely make any sounds louder than a whisper for over 3 weeks! Needless to say I was worried they would hurt my vocal chords this surgery and warned them not to. I make money with my voice so I can't have it get hurt. When I am able to work I teach music (vocals and woodwinds) to kids. Anyways, I was very glad to not have injured vocal chords this time around. ^.^ My Dr was quite surprised that they were hurt from the first surgery too. he said it is quite rare and really reflects poorly on the person(s) involved in the intubation and dr in charge of the surgery.

I am doing ok - having a bit of a bad migraine. I think I might have to lay down actually which is rare for me. My eyes just seem really strange right now. I don't normally have problems with my eyes with migraines, it's random. Anyways outside of that I am happy Kodiak is well and everything seems to be nice. ^.^ How are you doing? How is your hubby, doing better?
