the first CSC day in the cycle always surprises me for some reason.
i mean, if bacon isn't super crispy, what's the point?! hmm yeah, getting meat-eaters to try anything a little less meaty appears to usually be a tricky thing. hopefully the "novelty" factor of of the manufacturing process might win over a few to try something different. there are so many cool things going on with the technology, the future in that sense needs to hurry up and get here! i need more gadgets in my life. i am lazy, and gadgets are cool XD

Right?! Limp bacon is sad bacon. XD I hope so...I'm sure there are others who find it intriguing enough to try. Unfortunately, I know a lot of people find the idea of cultured meat gross, which I just don't understand if they eat meat anyway...it would be the same exact stuff except literally cleaner. lol I'm excited about new gadgets and stuff too. Even if I don't always buy them myself, I'm just happy cool stuff is out there. haha

limp bacon is a wasted life ;n; maybe it's the thought of the texture that puts people off? i imagine something that has been squirted out of a nozzle (potentially) wouldn't exactly eat the same as muscle fibre, i know i'd be curious to see what it's like in that sense. haha oh yeah i'm totally stingy when it comes to buying anything other than food XD unless it's something i absolutely have to have, i'm happy just to admire from afar ><

Haha, that reminds me, I'm pretty sure it was on How It's Made that they showed how hot dog paste is literally squirted out of a nozzle into casings, it was awesome. Ah yes, here's the clip. "Meat batter" - yummeh! (I love that show. It's so objective and they play that derpy upbeat background music, and yet several of their segments have contributed to my determination to go vegan.) Anyway, I think if anyone can eat those highly-fabricated things, they should be willing to give vat-grown meat a try. The process with most cultured meat is that it's actually grown cell-by-cell on a scaffold that stretches and "exercises" the muscle fibers and causes them to grow just like real meat, so it would in fact be "more real" than some of our more processed meat foods are now. Like it would have the proper texture and everything. As the scaffolding tech improves, they'll even be able to grow whole intact steaks and stuff.
Well this is a weird place to be carrying on a conversation about growing meat lol, oh well XD
