Was also thinking about making it too! I keep looking for list of challengers and the only one I use now is mrcools blog, but lord knows that hasn't been updated in a long time lol
Yeah, and the one in the Subeta wikia has a lot of them, but it's missing the most recent 2 years or so of CS challengers and I don't know if it has any of the MC ones listed at all.
If I did make a list, it would only include challenger names and how to unlock them, but that would probably be enough for people who just want to know if they have them all.
@ Laurey Yeah, especially some really random weapons that have been released as far back as I can remember. I think one Morostide, there were a couple of weapons randomly introduced, and one was stocked in BHH. Don't remember what it was, but basically I've never seen it, and it's like a t6 or something iirc.
I'll talk with Sovereign since they've technically got something already started, if he's still up for it at least.
The wiki should be easy to quickly update with those missing challengers and a brief "how to unlock them". I haven't looked at that place in forever

Subealodge is pretty helpful, you can search 'unlocks' in the notes section and find out the list there.
True, although I'd prefer an onsite list, preferably linked in the first post of the battle chat :o
[edit]
The Giant
A Castle in the Sky
Cash Shop Unlockable
Something like this
I know the past themes for the CSC challengers for the last two or so years though lol. It was the research notes for 2014 (I think?), then 2015 had the elemental trios with the 4th month being a "boss" combination of those three, and last year were the 4 fairy tales split across 3 months. This year is cryptids of Subeta i guess? (fair warning, time blends together for me, so I'm most likely wrong with the years))
for the MC....gosh, there were those smaller guys related to the elemental trio "bosses" I think.
A simple format, I like! I'd definitely agree about keeping it on-site. It's like we need some kind of catalog for both weapons and challengers lol

I think having the challenger images would be a bit much, but I can at least include the necessary items to unlock so people can shop search them or WL them or whatever.
Mhmm, I like the simpleness too, makes it easier to check. [edit] The recommended weapons guide needs a massive update too, that thing is so old lol.
Maybe, idk I like the images, makes for easier checking :P
Maybe have the challenger art hotlinked to their name? So that way players can open up to see the challenger art if they need to?
IE The Giant
Gods yes, I hate the format for it anyways. The scaling section got out of hand for me honestly, now that scalers are the new norm. I haven't bothered Gray or Cool cause I didn't want to be a nag to them about updating it or creating a new thread.
The first issue I ran into with it was because getting accurate stat info on scalers is way more difficult. If there's not enough evidence or testing going on to figure out how a weapon scales (either by tier or a stat or some weird condition like being in red health), the guide can't be updated to include potential new weapons for recommendation.
It also becomes a bias issue; I may feel a weapon is worth using but another battler may not agree. So making sure the guide is truly recommending the best weapons out there while ignoring the true garbage is a second problem I discovered with it. I've yet to figure out how to make it more efficient and less overwhelming.

I'll start it tonight after I eat, and I'll see what I can do. Hopefully I can make it all look nice, but I agree it would at least be helpful to have an on-site and up-to-date guide.
I'll be sure to include all of the ones that I know of and are still available (I won't include retired challengers or the throwbacks or anything), if I'm missing any once I'm done then hopefully you or someone else can let me know. :)
That's not a bad idea either.
Ooooh, good idea, probably better thus so image heavy then! [edit] I completely agree with you, theres too much to know, without alienating other strategies and opinions!
I can create it if you wish? I have a couple of hours spare and could write it up no problem
Oh yeah, don't remember when those birds and dragons were released, but they're CSC too apparently. Anything outta the MC is thrown in the Secret tab.
Yeah, that's why I've not been in a rush to do anything with it yet. I know the staples per tier (PQuill, Trident), those haven't changed much; but then there's the older retired stuff (Sandreaver) most no one is selling or going to sell--hence why new godlies have been made to replace the old-as-snot ones; and then the new stuff that has yet to carve out a niche or name for itself--weapons that feature dual elemental blocking (AU, even the TB Gauntlet) have a possibility to be just as good as godlies.

Complete list of items that unlock challengers, but then you'd need to explain how to unlock some of the secret challengers, like the mage and nightshade
Thanks! That will help some, and yeah I think it's only the secret ones that have some weird explanations, the others are just use this item ~
Ancient Sphinx springs to mind, man that thing to get unlocked at the beginning was tough, but then, super easy Y_Y
The Mage also. How do you unlock him again, is it just turning in one of each type of amulet at once?
I think so, I can't remember off the top of my head, but the one of each sounds right!

Got the secret challengers done, Cash Shop ones hopefully won't take as long, but there are a lot of them so who knows.
Thats perfect, right at the top of the page too! Make sure you snag a good spot when the new thread comes too!
